This has become our regular coffee takeaway during visits to Bray. Their bacon and egg sandwich is to die for. Possibly literally but we'll worth the risk. They also have a cheese and bacon toastie that's equally good. My companion likes their cruffins or are they cronuts?? No ide but each to their own. I'm happy with my deadly breakfast. read more

Why can't we have this in Utah. This is the perfect brunch spot, as good as it gets. It's nicely located across the ocean by a SWAN SANCTUARY. Does it get more magical than that? They have outdoor and indoor seating. Their service, food, and overall quality is top notch yet they have a quaint coffee shop feel to it that makes it very welcoming. They were very busy when we arrived on a Saturday morning but still got sat right away. We were given fantastic recommendations and ordered the fruit scone, ham hock eggs benedict, and the full Irish breakfast. We had A LOT of scones and Irish breakfasts during our two week trip throughout the entire country, and I have to say this is the best scone and Irish breakfast throughout Ireland. The scone is so fragrant and the perfect texture. We had one then ordered another for TAKEAWAY (cuz it's not to go or take out in Europe). The ham hock eggs benedict were also excellent, the perfect combination of flavors. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere made you want to stay a while. My best friend and I stopped by for a light lunch, oh my! The staff is super friendly, food is amazing and the lattes are tasty. Clean bathrooms, one is located downstairs which can get busy with the crowds, but there are more upstairs. They have amazing pastries to take home or on the road like us. What's a perfect Saturday? The Greystones to Bray cliff walk followed by lunch at Dockyard No. 8 is pretty close to it. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon, but we managed to grab a bench out on the large patio (covered and heated for the winter) straight away. The sunshine was streaming in, and with my first sip of beer, it felt like it could've been summer. The menu mainly consists of sandwiches and some brunch items - we opted for the chorizo sambo on rye with hummous and rocket, the BLT on ciabatta and shared a bowl of the parsnip and parmesan soup. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was warm and efficient. Because we were sharing the soup, they even took the effort to bring out two half portions... that is just classy! Being tucked just around the corner from the waterfront, you're also a bit away from the touristy strip. The clientele was a mixture of locals of all ages, including some families, and had a relaxed buzz to the place. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to come back - especially for the patio in the summer! read more

Bray has so many places these days to go for decent bite to eat and what differentiates this place from it's competitors.... - Well prepared and tasty food with good ingredients - friendly staff who on every occasion have actually been a laugh to talk to - quick service - great location with savage seating in the front for those sunny but still chilly days! I'm not gonna lie I really like the location of this place and the seating in the front. It's got a nicer feel to it than the main beach front. My recommendation head there early see what the specials are (as there appears to be new ones weekly) failing that go for the BLT or burger. Great spot where I can see myself going every time I head to bray beach. Looking forward to see how this places grows over the next 12 months read more

One of my favourite coffee spots in the town. Really friendly staff, nice location and always have interesting new specials on the menu. Place is always packed so make sure you get down early on the weekends to grab a table. It's quite a little place so they go quickly. Service can be a little slow but I imagine it's due to a small kitchen and large number of customers. I'd recommend trying out their flat whites and their breakfast menu! read more

I should've written this sooner but this was one of the best meals I had during my time in Ireland. We sat outside to enjoy the morning weather, our server was prompt and engaging. The water is served in bottles with fresh basil inside and had a nice flavor profile. Our coffees were exceptional, not something I expected. A simple balanced americano with a wonderful espresso blend. The beans were not overly acidic and the grind was clearly fine for a great extraction. On to the food, I have never used or had ham hock in a dish. Only ever to season Collard Greens, but wow! The ham hock added a salty essences to the dish and it was easily pulled to compose a perfect bite. The poached eggs sat perfectly atop the ham and bread. Our steak and eggs was out of this world. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and topped with a running indulgent treat of an egg. I was extremely impressed by the execution in this tiny and understated venue. The menu was well built and I found at least three other dishes that I wanted to try. Next time I make it to Ireland I will be making the trip to Brae for another amazing breakfast. read more

The staff are friendly but I was not that impressed by the food. I ordered the monkfish (€25) - kinda over cooked and not that tasty for that price - however the prawns were nice. My cousin got haddock fish and chips - chips were soggy and the haddock didn't taste fresh. Left a funny taste. read more

This is a great place to eat. It was wing Wednesday so we had the wings and fish chowder, both were great, as was the coleslaw. The beers were an IPA and an alcoholic ginger beer which went perfectly with the wings. Give this place a try, its right by the harbor and the service was great. read more
