If you are looking for a good lunch spot on the water this has it. Didn't pay much attention to the inside but the patio was perfect. Didn't hurt that the weather was perfect. Service was prompt and very adequate. No complaints. Food: Beet salad was incredible and refreshing. The seared tuna salad was also very tasty. Both were very simple but done right. The burger was average. One pet peeve of mine was when asked what toppings not told there was a charge for everything, including mayo. Added lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion. This made a $12 burger $18. Caught off guard. Don't like that. The location and view made up for any short falls which there were few. Prices were reasonable and in-line. This is a good spot for lunch on the water. They also have live music! read more

I had this place tagged on my Google "must try" since last year. The food was good, but not special. I think the restaurant itself was clean and well kept. Traffic tonight was light especially for a Wednesday and during the Airshow. The server was prompt and checked on us often. For the food, I ordered the pretzel, brussel sprouts, and the Bam Bam shrimp tacos. I really loved the brussel sprouts. The pretzel IS in fact deep fried, I wanted to try it and I must say I will not order it again. For the Tacos, I don't know, I feel like they were talked up but left me wondering why they were special. I would not order these again if we came back to this tavern. read more

The food is pretty bad. I had the steak tacos, the steak was clearly prepared days before. The highlight was the fries, which were the only thing that wasn't cold. read more

This place is TERRIBLE! Dirty plates, no silverware (was provided plastic utensils), and no dressing on my $14 salad. They ran out of every single wine we ordered. Great location, but poorly run business. read more

Service was great, our server was very attentive and nice. We had the Bam bam burger (with the cheese curds) and the Bam bam shrimp. The shrimp say breaded but they are so lightly breaded you hardly notice, delicious!!! Very nice view but they need to trim the bushes and it would be even better. Will come back next time we are passing thru Oshkosh. read more

We found this really great place with great atmosphere. Server was really professional and attentive. The food was well cooked and done right. We brought the dogs for some outdoor chilling and they loved it as they were laying down, behaving and getting treats. Definitely coming back. read more

We've stopped multiple times while out on the water. It's an easy tie up and has a huge outdoor patio. Service wise they are always running their butts off and do their best. Food is never horrible- pretty basic. Wraps, burgers and flatbread pizzas. read more

Skip this place. No one cared that we were even there to eat. No one inside. Just because we refused to eat outdoors on that windy hot patio . The woman knew we needed service And said the bartender was outside at that bar. Well, what the hell!! They can't staff anyone inside including a server? We waited 10 minutes then left. I would never recommend them. read more

Nice atmosphere, live music on the riverside patio. They weren't that busy, and it appeared several tables were being served dinner long after we had arrived. We waited an hour and when inquired, we were told it would be another 20 minutes; that it didn't come out correctly the first time. No offer to comp a drink or an appetizer. We decided not to wait; paid for our drinks and went elsewhere. read more

We just left very disappointed. We came by boat very nice Saturday afternoon ,yes was getting a good crowd but they had no help. One bartender outside none inside bar outside was full. Only saw two servers running they're button off but couldn't handle the crowd look like not enough support. We got our tap beer quickly and food came quick but the mixed drinks still hadn't come. We sure would of had a couple more drinks but without enough help that seemed improbable. We did tip well do to the fact that the servers were doing the best they could without support.i read more

I've been excited to try this during my last few trips to Oshkosh. I'm up here quite often to stay with my boyfriend and I love trying local places and supporting small businesses. We went at around 5:30 yesterday. Overall the service was good, but it did take about 15 minutes to have a server come to the table. Which wouldn't have bothered me as much if we couldn't see them standing together talking and eating before tendind to their tables. The atmosphere is nice and I like the indoor outdoor seating option. The menu is full of delicious options of your traditional tavern favorites. Burgers, sandwiches etc. I tried the Bam Bam curd burger and tavern chips. The chips are sliced potatoes, sweet potatoes and beets. I do wish there were more beet chips in the mix. The larger chips weren't as crispy as I'd hoped. The burger has their Bam Bam sauce which is also featured in a shrimp appetizer. It also has cheese curds and melty cheese. I was hoping the sauce would have more of a kick but it was still good. The burger was good but I wish it had a thicker patty. My boyfriend got the Mango Habanero Burger and was also wasn't a fan of the sauce element as it made the bun too soggy. I would go back to try other things because I always give a place a second chance. Didn't grab as many pictures this time. But there are still a couple read more

Outdoor patio bar on the fox river is great. Full selection of cocktails and good selection of tap beers including Oshkosh brews.

Sat outside for at least ten minutes before the cook came out (she was off and still took our order) to take care of us instead of the 4 servers who were standing in the waitress station avoiding taking a table. Thank goodness for this sweet woman (again chef who was OFF work) who took care of us instead of the vaping servers while serving tables. This bar clearly needs a bar rescue because ooof. At least the weather was nice outside. read more

Would give it a zero if I could. Our waitress had a horrendous attitude and came to our table once in an hour. Practically had to beg to put our orders in. Forgot all the drinks from the bar and the food wait was an hour while the place was half full with a short event menu. Gave attitude to our table and all of the others she had. Can't even speak to the food because it's hard to be positive when the whole experience was bad. Nice place on the river but beyond that I have no desire to come back. read more

Server was very pleasant. Food took forever to come out and was cold. Very sad because the place wasn't that busy. Several other tables canceled the order and left. cannot recommend. Just wanted to pay my bill and never return. read more

Got to sit outside right next to the river. Beautiful spot. Service was a little strange but nice. Waitress came over and was giggling about everything. Ordered the ribeye. It came with tots and seasonal veggies. The tots were good, the veggies were decent and the steak was pretty good. Forgot to ask for salt. Not sure if they don't have them but the silverware I received was a fork and butter knife. Luckily the steak could be cut with that knife. Like I said, all in all, was a good meal just a little weird read more

Came in on a VERY busy Saturday night. Only one server and the bartender. We could tell they were running their butts off to get everything to everyone in a timely manner. Drinks were wonderful :) The food was fantastic, and the service was even better. The outdoor patio on the fox at sunset is magical. 100% recommend. read more

Waited two hours for food. The property is nice because it is right on the lake, but the service was absolutely awful. I couldn't believe how disorganized this restaurant was. More than likely will never come back. For reference we ordered 6 burgers and some sodas. read more

Dockside Tavern was a nice location, with a great view and friendly staff. We just stopped in for a couple of drinks and we hit it just right during happy hour. The food looked good on other tables, but we just had some drinks and then moved on, I recommend it, I can only imagine how nice it is when the weather cools down a little more. read more

We were very happy to have found this place for lunch. Great meal sitting outside on the patio watching the continuous parade of boats going by. I highly recommend the "Bang Bang Shrimp Taco". read more

Terrible service, sat for about an hour before getting drinks. Didn't get to try the food, they took our order and didn't come back with an update about our food for another hour. So we left. Cool environment, but terrible service. read more

Place has gone down big time. 1 bartender 2 waitresses for a holiday weekend. Girls ran there a$$ off. Food came out cold. Sat for an hour before getting our food. Management has no idea. Have a rewards card and didn't use because we aren't coming back. Now we know why you don't have to wait for a place to moor a boat. read more

Awful all around. Understaffed, but staff they had seemed fairly clueless. Took forever to place our order, asked about kitchen time , and was told 1/2 hour. After an hour, asked again and food finally came , except they sent the wrong entree on one, and didn't have another meal at all. At $20 a plate for below average food and service, resist the waterfront temptation and go elsewhere. read more

The food is ok. Everytime we go they are out of something. First pineapple juice, then pasta and pickle chips. I dont know how a place runs out of pasta at 4:30 in the afternoon. There was also hair in my ranch. read more

There's only one reason this restaurant is still in business. Location, location, location. If not for being on the water, it would be out of business in little time. The service was terrible. It took almost 2 hours for our food to come out. And the food was subpar. The owners should sell it to someone who actually cares. read more

We made a reservation for 14 people. We got seated right away and we all ordered. After an hour and a half, we still were waiting for our food while other tables that came in after us were served. The waitress never stopped once to check on us. We had to go up and get our own drinks and water. People at other tables who had been sitting for a long time and were not served were leaving. We finally got the waitress's attention and told her we were leaving as people in our group had other places they had to be after that long. She told us our food should be up soon but we should "do what we had to do." She said she would get the manager. A 15-year-old girl came out of the kitchen and told us the manager had skipped out and she didn't know what to do. We will never go back!!! read more

Bam-bam shrimp tacos!!! AMAZING. I ordered this same entree both times I've been to this restaurant because it was THAT good. Also, BEAUTIFUL view right on the Fox River with lots of outdoor seating and lawn games! Overall, yummy food, good, friendly service and a casual family-friendly atmosphere. Recommend! read more

Sat on the patio for an evening meal and a visit with friends. Had a beer and Baja Fish Tacos. The fish (deep fried) was well done and the slaw was obviously canned and dripping with preservative waters, cold and unimpressive. Sauce was likely tasty, but so little of it, it couldn't punch through the overcooked fish and cold, wet slaw. Was truly a "meh" meal. Virtually little or no taste. Atmosphere and service was average, and beer was cold. Saving grace. Price is not too far out of line if the food matched the cost it would be better. I'll give them another try, fingers crossed. read more

The food is so tasty! Love the onion rings and the chicken wrap! Alexi is such a nice bartender!! Very speedy! Maddie is a great server as well! Made me laugh and has a great personality! Can't wait to check out the outside bar when it opens!! read more

Best pizza around, good Old Fashions and granny behind the bar is a hoot. Hard to find but well worthwhile.

Made reservations and we were seated at the time of our reservation. Our food order was taken. We waited almost 2 hours and never received our food. The waitress never checked in with us to give us an update on the delay or refill our drinks. We had to go up to the bar and get our own drinks. We decided to leave as everyone was hungry and tired of waiting. People around us were leaving as well. Very poor service. I will not be returning. read more

Now this is a must try place ! Came here with a party of 7 in the last 30 min of closing and they were so sweet about it. As an app we got the bam bam shirmp, so good wish I had some right now lol. Good flavor, good portion, overall a hit. They also serve these shrimp as tacos as well which a couple people did order and finish their plates! I myself ordered a mango marg on the rocks, one of the best I've ever had. Good ratio of everything, for my entree I ordered the honey mustard chicken wrap with fries and a Caesar salad. 5/5!! Only negative thing I can say is the Caesar salad was just okay but everything else was great it doesn't even matter haha. Our server brandon was really attentive and helpful, totally ask for him. It's in a great location right by lake Winnebago, actually on the water. They had a live band when we came in, awesome job singing true oldie hits ! Everyone had a great time, when I'm in the area will 100% come back ! Thanks read more

Was just there today, my wife and I went in sat down and waiter came over took our drinks and food order. I ordered a bowl of chili and a burger my wife ordered the flatbread, in about 10 minutes my chili came out in about another 10 minutes my wife's flatbread came out, the waiter said my burger will be right out, after about 15 minutes I called the waiter over asked where the burger was and he said they were working on it that's when I told him to forget it. There were 3 or 4 tables of people already there and had their food so it wasn't like they were busy! Long story short I won't be back up read more

We came with a party of 8, sat ourselves and weren't approached once by staff until we sought them out. When we were approached the server seemed annoyed to serve us, she never once checked on us except for taking our food order and when we were finished eating. Food took forever. We got our first and second round of drinks from the bar. We were observing staff and saw 4-5 servers standing and talking to each-other multiple times. No staff seemed to even care that we weren't being taken care of. Food wasn't bad but definitely won't return. This place could have a lot of potential but I don't recommend it at all. I won't ever go back. read more

My favorite time of the year is the summer. Their backyard hosts live music and the entertainment of watching boat owners dock their boats. They scream at their wives and get all frantic. It's pretty entertaining. Others with more experience coast right in. Some drive by and don't even try. They have a great drink menu. I usually have to remind them to blend my frozen drinks otherwise they have too many ice chunks. The food is great. And on Saturday and Sunday they have a build your own Bloody Mary bar. So you can make it just the way you like. I will definitely be back! read more

Visited during Airventure (EAA) so we expected things to be slow. However, took over 20 minutes to get our first drink and then over 90 minutes to get our food. Some food came cold, some came with the wrong bun (required gluten free). Little attention from the server to the point that we went to the bar ourselves for the second round of drinks. Hard to understand the lack of attention from servers as they were gathered in a corner talking with each other. Seemed the server knew things were bad and rather than be apologetic, they chose to avoid. A bit more attention to the customer would go a long way to smoothing over the obvious kitchen/staffing issues they are experiencing. read more

If you want from a box frozen fish sticks, then this is your place. Ordered the fish tacos and that's exactly what I received. The cheese pizza was soggy and limp. The Friday fish fry of baked fish was not fresh and the smallest portion I've seen in a while. Will not be back. read more

Visiting Wisconsin for the AIRVENTURE Aviation event. Stumbled upon this place after missing the turn for a different venue. So glad! I'm here on a Sunday, and the live music is fantastic. Not too loud and a good variety. I got a table outside, right on the water. My server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Shrimp Bang Bang with fries well done. Fries were perfectly crisp and had no skin. There were about 4-5 shrimp per taco, and the order came with 3 tacos. Very tasty and not too spicy with good slaw. After eating, hang out at your table, the bar, or pull up an Adirondack chair by the dock. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Extremely reasonable prices. read more
