First time at Doc Sullivan's for wings and they did not disappoint! Located in the heart of South Buffalo, Doc's has that wonderful Irish pub atmosphere and has plenty of seating. We had the Buffalo style wings done medium and they were just right..next time I want to try their Smitty wings - with a unique butter sauce with various spices. Service was good, but slowed down due to a large party being there. I would recommend a visit to South Buffalo for the wings!

    Fried bologna sandwich! Fantastic!

Absolutely loved their Beef on Weck Wings. Such a unique wing flavor! Also enjoyed their giant fried bologna sandwich (don't knock it till you try it). Wife got the beer battered fish fry but did not care for the strong beer batter they used. She said the fish and sides were excellent, but the batter was a bit too overpowering for her taste (although others may enjoy it). Our waitress was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. A louder-type atmosphere, but to be expected. We'd definitely eat here again!

The food here is great! The service is excellent! This place has an Irish Pub vibe. We especially love the mural painted on the outside of the restaurant.

When in Buffalo New York...all I could think about was Buffalo Wings! Someone recommended Doc Sullivan's to my husband and we decided to check them out when we were in town. We ordered the Buffalo Wings and two big ditch hayburners! The bar was pretty busy as there was a local hockey game on. Service was great and fast especially for how busy they were! The wings were good size and went great with our beers! I would definitely recommend Doc Sullivan's while in Buffalo!

Parking wad okay, we got lucky and found a spot on the street. Place is extremely loud, so don't come here if looking to have a nice dinner. Our server was nice. We ordered the pizza logs - and they were in the fryer too long bc they were so hard on the outside, no flavor on the inside. My Mom and I both ordered French Onion Soup. It was alright, but I've had better. When my Mom unrolled her silverware, she found a fly on her fork, folded in with the napkin. We showed and told our server about it, and she said that was disgusting, but then proceeded to not do anything about it, or offer any kind of discount. Will not be back!

I've been to Doc Sullivan's MANY times. Smash burger Wednesdays, South Buffalo pub crawls, Buffalo wing tour stop, etc. They're my personal choice for Top 3 wing places in all of Buffalo - best flanked by an order of garlic parm 40 fries. Always consistent, always delivering a solid menu of first rate pub grub. What I hadn't done - until last Sunday's Bills-Chiefs game - was treat myself to their amazing Bills' game day experience. Wow! What an event. Quick side note: Had a large group of friends doing a family reunion in Buffalo. When they asked about attending the Allen-Mahomes showdown in person, I told them it would be technically possible, but likely VERY expensive. AND, the 80+ year old matriarch might balk at having to stand for the entire game. Plan B? Find a classic Buffalo bar with a passionate fan base, great food & drink, and a stadium replicating experience. And manager Dan, the kitchen, the bartenders, and our AMAZING waitress (I could kick myself for not remembering her name; she was an absolute credit to the Buffalo brand!) delivered big time! They gave a group of former WNY-ers (some of whom hadn't been back to Buffalo since the OJ Simpson Era) a truly memorable experience. Bravo, Doc's. You're truly a WNY institution! Oh, and they have Christmas Ale on tap!

Feels like we maybe came on an off day not sure. The bar tender was the only worker so service was very slow for what we ordered around 3pm and there wasn't anybody in there really. I ordered the pb and j burger (which I didn't get) and received their house burger. It was just okay not a lot of flavor and an absurd amount of cheese it was kind of wild. We ordered wings which were cooked to perfection nice and crispy! The BBQ was good but their doc style mild was just weird. I can't put a finger on it but I didn't care for the sauce for some reason. Prices weren't bad and overall the place had a fun Buffalo bar vibe. I'd come back again to try other stuff for sure!

When you are in Buffalo, you ought to try the Buffalo Wings. We searched internet to find the best wing places - but Doc Sullivan's stood out with their impressive array of options. This is located in the South Buffalo's Irish Heritage district. We found a street side parking nearby. Stopped during post-lunch hours. Wasn't crowded. Great set up. decors resonating the Irish culture. Amazing ambiance to start with. We started with 15 Wing trio with Buffalo, Nashville Hot and Medium. Also ordered a few burgers & sandwiches - Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Roasted Red Pepper chicken, Beyond Burger, Grilled Cheese, Buffalo Chicken Finger Wrap, Smitty Chicken Sandwich and Nashville Hot Chicken. Wings were so good, freshly made and so delicious. Loved the flavors we ordered. One of the best wings I recently had - perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. Coming to the burgers and sandwiches - they were really impressive - especially the Smitty and Jamaican jerk chicken. All the burgers/sandwiches served with tons of chips on the side, made them more than adequate for the entire group. We couldn't even finish it. Loved the hospitality of this place. They were attentive and available. The service was quite fast. A wonderful place to have quality food and to spend time with friends & family!

Smitty Wings (medium) and homemade blue cheese dressing

Stopped in on our way up to Canada and it was so worth it. Amazingly crispy wings (Smittys style) in a Buffalo sauce "with extra secret ingredients". Idk what the extra ingredients were but it was fire. Highly recommend! Homemade blue cheese isn't as "funky" tasting as your typical Ken's dressing but we just loved it. Servers were nice and welcoming also.

Great South Buffalo Bar with good vibes and food. Employees are very friendly and know how to take are of the customers. We went because we heard their wings and burgers are excellent. We also tried the mac and cheese - this is shareable. Starting with the mac and cheese - awesome with lots of cheese and it's burnt a little on top which makes it. We order wings and fingers. Hubby can't eat wings while he has dental surgery going on. He order the beef on weck sauce and I order the 40 sauce on my wings. Unfortunately, they put the sauces on the wrong order. That is why they got 4 stars. But they made it up and sent us the order correctly. Both sauces were excellent and need to come back to try other ones. They did make good on their mistake and gave us a free drink and gave us the incorrect order to take home. Best place on customer service. You need to come here and support them and try some awesome food.

It was a very busy bar area. A lot of local people come through for the drinks and food. I honestly had great wings. I just wish the service was better. Our food was fresh, and we knew it would take time. We were there maybe an hour and a half waiting for food. Overall, the food itself was good. Not amazing but it was alright to satisfy the craving.

I found this place on Yelp as we were driving through Buffalo and looking for wing places to eat. I knew immediately that the wings were going to be good just from looking at the pictures but they were better than good, something of GREATNESS! The service was a little suspect for the place not to be crowded, but the wings were so good it didn't even matter! 12/10!!!! I'm a chicken wing connoisseur so when I tell you they were 12/10 believe me. I forgot the cook's name but I had him come to our table just to tell him how good he prepared the wings! I will be back!!!

Had to stop for lunch. Barely remember the last time I was there. Wings were amazing, x-hot did not disappoint. Can't figure out why, but I'm not a huge fan of the blue cheese, a little thick maybe...? The wife's burger was legit. Ample portions and decent prices. Wednesday $5 burger was the same size as regular burger but without the side of fries. Comes with "smash sauce" aka 1000 Island dressing. But a screaming deal!

I've been on somewhat of my own personal wing tour lately and I'm glad we tried Adolf's. We came on a Monday, which is their wing special night, 75 cent wings. We arrived a little before the 5:00 PM rush so we sat right at the bar, ordered and behold, the wings were in front of us in about 5 minutes! Service was very fast and friendly. We ordered hot, and the level of heat was exactly what hot is supposed to be. Saucy, but not swimming in excessive sauce. The wings were crispy outside and juicy inside, that elusive perfectly fried wing. We opted for the homemade blue cheese, and while I liked it, I found it didn't have a strong blue cheese flavor. But they do have two choices of blue cheese type. Carrots and celery were included, not always the case with wing night specials. I would call these elite level, top 10 in Buffalo wings, maybe even top 5. The only reason that I did not score 5 stars was that there we 7 drums and 3 flats - and I am a flat guy. This usually works out well because my wife likes the drums, but this time they definitely skewed in my wife's favor. If it were not the wing special night, I might have said something, but the wings were so good I did not want to register a complaint about the lack of flats. We also ordered the hand cut fries which were hot and excellent. We definitely plan to return.

I'm a big fan of old school style bars and establishments like this. The traditional architecture and nostalgic feeling is perfect here. I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!?
