French Dip With American cheese. It was so fresh, hot and loaded! The Au Jus sauce as delicious.

We had stuffed pepper soup, french onion soup, opened face hot turkey sandwich, grilled cheese and a french dip this afternoon. Not only was it delicious but our waitress was so kind and nice. The place was clean and was practicing social distancing. We really felt welcomed and enjoyed our meal and the environment. Thanks Dobbs, everything was excellent!

Dinner tonight! Started with the French Onion soup, which was very good. I ordered ravioli and meatballs. The order came out really quick. Everything was hot and had great flavor. Everyone at our table had a good meal. Will definitely go back. Reasonably priced.

I got the blueberry pancakes, two eggs, and breakfast links. My friend ordered the western omelette with toasts. Everything was delicious! We were hungry so forgot to take pictures before we nearly finished our food! You get a great amount for what you pay. Definitely would come back if we ever pass by again.

Love it every time I'm here. Chicken and biscuits are to die for. All of it is home made. Turkey club is fantastic. Fresh turkey. Not the processed deli crap. Just an all around great place to get a nice home cooked meal.

Virginia Ham with orange raisin sauce. The sauce is different, but it is good.

Home style food with home style servings at a very reasonable price. You can go wrong with anything on the menu. It's a nice little "trucker stop" location that is open early and closes late. If you're looking for something that isn't a traditional "chain" restaurant, this is the place for you. Very mellow, very low key.

Good food and service, but was charged for a "little more gravy" - about 4 tablespoons for $1.50 - not good

Nonetheless, the towns of route 11 still have hungry denizens, and that's where Jenny Leigh's comes in! Now located 200 yards from where the original establishment sat prior to falling victim to fire, Jenny Leigh's is situated in an impressive Victorian home in Kingsley. Step inside, and it has a completely relaxed atmosphere, with an eclectic gathering of various tables, chairs, and outdoorsy memorabilia. We sat at an old workbench in the back, which made for a delightful table. Everything about Jenny Leigh's backs up the name "country cooking", except the anachronistic juke box on the wall that requires-gasp- a cell phone app to control it. Otherwise, it is wonderfully rustic. That said, the atmosphere is bright, cheerful, and inviting. Places like this could give off the vibe of "locals only, please", where people in dark shadows grunt and stare at you for your entire meal; nonesuch here. A counter adorns the front room, and in two more rooms, tables are scattered. Three families were eating, with another group of retirees gathered happily and swapping tales at the table nearest to us. None gave us that menacing look or the "whatch you doin' here...get out!" vibe. All friendly! The waitress was spot on with coffee refills, and most importantly, the country cooking was great. I had the "Smash Up"= a combination of cubed potatoes, eggs, suasage, peppers, cheese and onions for $5.99, kids sampled sticky buns and bacon and pancakes; wife had cinnamon-raisin French toast and loved it as well. Prices are reasonable (most under $6) and the food was really good. Verdict? Big fan. We love Saturday morning breakfasts out while staying in Harford, and with the absence of our 10-year staple-the Stables in Montrose- we are searching all options. WIth Jenny Leigh's closest and- for now- the best, it looks as if we have found a wonderful new breakfast option!

Here, you could be in any decade from the nineteen-fifties till today. It seems timeless. We had the Lunch Special, lasagna, which totally surprised us. Clearly, this is not an Italian cachino, and the garlic bread that accompanied the lasagna was straight from a country kitchen. The garlic toast and the main dish were just what you'd expect at your mom's kitchen table. Wholesome and delicious in a generous portion. As I said, we've had many lunches at Windsor Diner. All were delightful, and all keep bringing us back.

There weren't many options and the best reviewed was the Windsor Diner.(Yes, consisting of just one review... where that family was adventurous enough to try the lasagna - which is so amusing to me.  And not the last time we'd encounter a Yelp review in this part of the world where people actually order the lasagna from places no one in their right mind would!) Coming from NJ (diner capital of the country) where even my little hometown used to have 3 diners itself... maybe it isn't fair to judge a diner in God's country the same way we do in Jersey. This place is small.  It's decrepit (from the carpeting to the bathroom). There's a really strong odor (maybe old/burnt oil from the fryer?) wafting through the place the whole time we were there. But it's really busy... people coming and going constantly - which we take as a good sign. Waitress - awesome.  We're getting a good vibe from this place now. The Mrs. - really enjoyed her dish. Younger twin - he dug his dish. Older twin - half-and-half, he dug the sandwich but not the side of (clumpy and congealed) mac-and-cheese. Myself - after joking with the rest of my family about someone ordering the lasagna and garlic bread what do I do?  I bravely order their haddock special.  It wasn't "bad" but it definitely wasn't "good".  The (bland) filet was hacked up (either the cook was angry or this was the only way for them to 'know' the fish was cooked through/properly?) and the mashed potatoes were very basic (boring).   Pricing was honestly great.  (Jersey) Diner-size portions and no dish was over $14-ish. Not sure we'd come back but it definitely served its purpose.

The menu itself is short and focused, while the interior of the restaurant features wallpaper with anthropomorphic animals, and large windows. I opted for the Burger, and my wife the Salmon. We also ordered the grilled dates and collard greens. I also decided on a Ginger Beer. They serve Goslings (since 1806), with all 47 grams of sugar, over ice and a lime. Highly recommended on the ginger beer flavor scale. The Burger came with a massive amount of their duck-fat fried fries, certainly more potato than burger. I also liked the burger with the added bacon. But my wife's Salmon was even tastier. It featured a nice hunk of fish, skin-on, crispy, and not some half-or-quarter fillet that other places might serve. Plus, it comes over a bed of green peas and canneli beans and green asparagus sauce on the bottom, and a small bed of frisée on top. The combination with the lemon cream leads to very satisfying bites. The grilled dates wrapped in bacon, with goat cheese, Marcona almonds, and honey were presented as a drumstick. The collard greens were nice, though on the saltier side. Seating here can be had inside or out. The bathrooms are located in the hallway next to the restaurant.

There was an order of eggs, french toast and well done bacon, exactly how my wife ordered it. I had a fantastic hamburger and crinkle fries. I asked for a bourbon burger and it came out perfect.
