It sells not…read moreonly fresh, local vegetables, but also jewelry, pottery, eggs, cheese, soap, homemade ointments, and handmade breads! The food vendors are also awesome - one of them makes the best sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches. And this is coming from someone who's been to all the delis in NYC :) The market is open every Saturday during the summer from 9 to 1PM. It's an amazing place to hang out in, especially because it's full of amazing people. You will see a plethora of dogs, too, since a lot of dog owners like to walk their dogs in the morning!

Varieties of nutritional staples like honeys and maple syrups are here in abundance. Examples of my sojourns here: Have met the 'Urban Gardeners' here - that you see on local TV - and learned how to make different but healthy things like Swiss Char Burgers from them, as well as buying organic Kale, a real green powerhouse. Learned how Maple Syrup candies are made. You can also enjoy a picnic in the park, jog, play frisbee or ball games - whatever floats your boat. For those who can't be here on Saturday, there is a smaller but worthwhile downtown version on Collier Street from 9-12, Fridays. Check buyfromthebackyard.com. Lawrence Weinzimer

Okay, first let me say that this place has the best prices hands down for pumpkins, mums etc. The…read moreworkers are very nice and usually have samples out for you to try . My only suggestion is that they try to clean the place up a little! They could make a killing if they just fixed their signage ( which needs some serious updating , even the signs on the backroads are faded and hard to see!) The photo op area is off to the side surround by weeds and just looks like a real mess - which is what I think keeps people and families away. I know it's a small family business but this is something that can be worked on in the off season. Just these little tweaks to your business could really bring in a crowd. Unless that's what you're trying to avoid- which I also understand . They also need to work on their social media page- especially Instagram. Things are often misspelled , the number of years they have been open often changes, or the odd pictures of the older son with his shirt off is kind of weird to me , especially on a pumpkin farm page. But just thought I'd give my 2 cents. Otherwise, I can't wait to stop up and get some pumpkins and mums!

Its not as far a drive for Binghamton area residents (as Jacksons and Iron Kettle) and the prices are much better.

The market has locally made crafts like jewelry, candles, and jam, a small selection of fresh produce and meat, gluten-free pantry items (not a huge selection, but more interesting options for pasta and cereals than you can find in a mid-sized grocery store), spices/tea in bulk, and locally roasted coffee beans. For the size of the store, they really have a good variety and strike a good balance of basic groceries vs gourmet items. The coffee shop has the standard coffee and tea drinks with some seasonal specialty drinks plus a moderate assortment of baked goods. I tried the blueberry muffin, lemon lavender scone, and a matcha latte from the coffee shop. The baked goods were great. Both had great texture (none of the dryness that cheap GF baked goods often suffer from) and nice flavours. The scone was closer to the dessert side of the baked good spectrum (sweet and almost a shortbread cookie texture), but the muffin was less sweet and wholesome-tasting. My matcha latte was pretty good, easily the best matcha I've had in the Binghamton area. I was with my mom, who got a black tea, and while I didn't actually have any of her tea, I know and like the tea company that they use. The vibe was friendly and welcoming. I'd like to come back here next time I'm in the area!
