Service is really good depending on who is working my food came out great I hade a bacon egg and cheese sandwich

This is a Denny's inside a gas station... construction is happening so the paint fumes are acceptable. The rest rooms are on the "OTHER SIDE" by the truckers' showers (Although I guess anyone can choose to shower before or after the meal.). The restaurant itself has an "old" but pleasant feel to it. It is spotlessly clean. When the delivery of our water was slow to arrive the waitress was quick to thank us for our patience. Scanning the menu brought back memories "the moon over hammy" etc.. I went for that classic Santa Fe Skillet and my partner did a sandwich with fries. Uneventful... not exciting ... the one waitress seemed to be doing everything and we really wondered if she was the cook since at times she vanished. A trip back down memory lane that I wouldn't want to take too many times. We wished we had driven the extra few miles to a diner but for the memories this Denny's worked because we had 4 more hours to drive. read more

Without a doubt.. One of the best Denny's I have ever visited. This is the typical Denny's... big and bright with plenty of windows and space to move around. We walked into a smiling hostess at 8:15PM who brought us to our seats just minutes after arriving. The waitress came over shortly after, welcomed us and took a drink order. After she returned, with the drinks we gave our food order. She was friendly, loaded with smiles and remained so cool in the light of all the people barking orders from her stations. BTW..... Our waitress really was wonderful. She was genuinely concerned that we were satisfied with the experience. Just a short time later our dinner was served. There was an order of eggs, french toast and well done bacon, exactly how my wife ordered it. I had a fantastic hamburger and crinkle fries. I asked for a bourbon burger and it came out perfect. It was hot, tender and really loaded with flavor. Call me jaded, but I was really pleasantly surprised at just how good this meal was. Kudos to Dennys and the team here for giving us an excellent dining experience! read more

You would think that you could get in and out of a breakfast place but not here. Granted it is July 4th. There is only I server that seems overwhelmed with 6 tables. Very poorly managed and staffed We should have grabbed a coffee and a wrap next door at Dunkin' . read more

Friendly service but subpar food. I've been to several Denny's in NYC, LA, and SF. This one seems to be the worst. My table ordered two Bacon Avocado burgers and both were bad. The burgers were dry when they were supposed to be medium-rare. The fries were soggy with one order. The other order had onion rings but there must have only been a grand total of 5 small onion rings on the plate and they were soggy as well. Avoid this Denny's if you are making a roadtrip. I'm pretty sure any Burger King, McDonalds, or Subway would be actually be able to meet your expectations. read more

Service was excellent, friendly staff very attentive but the food was not the greatest. The broccoli side was partially still frozen, salmon looked not appealing but it did actually taste decent. Husband said his burger was ok. My kids pancakes were fine. We've been to other Dennys where the food was much better. Wouldn't not stop here again it's a convenient location but also wouldn't go out of my way to stop here. read more

We walked in at 18:15. We set down by our waitress and gave the order at 18:20. we got water. At 18:55 nothing happened. Nobody came over to explain the delay. At 19:00 we left without having dinner. it looks like they prioritized the takeout order. read more

This is Denny's is terrible when you get here usually in the mornings they tell you it opens between six and eight. It's supposed to open at 6 o'clock, but they allow them to open whenever they want. I highly highly do not recommend this place. read more

Service was terrible. Lady seems nice, yet we've been sitting for 40 minutes no food yet, and there's a line out front of people waiting to sit down that's been there for like 15 minutes. They appear to have like maybe 1 chef and 1 waitress, super big let down and waste of time. Don't come here if you want fast, average or even slow wait times, it will take forever. Terrible experience today 6/23. Ordered our food and waited for 1/2 hour. Finally got our food, well some of it, my husband and mother ordered the same meal and they came out differently, one plate had scrambled eggs and no cheese( it was supposed to have cheese) the other has a small omelet looking thing with cheese on top. My meal, the lumberjack that was supposed to be all bacon, came out with ham and bacon, I mentioned it to our server Kennedy who lied to my face and said she can't substitute for the ham, to which I replied, I didn't have a problem last week when I ordered the same exact meal. My hash browns were inedible, way overcooked and oily and my over medium eggs had solid yolks. First stop on the drive to Ontario was this Denny's just off Rt. 81 in New Milford, PA. The plan was to break up the 430 mile trip into thirds of approximately equal time & distance, and use Yelp to find the places to grab a meal/snack/gas rather than trust blind luck. This one is connected to a Flying J truck stop, sharing restrooms and market, and is otherwise clean and well managed. They only breakfast I like at Denny's is its Chicken Fried Steak, a small breaded ground beef, lightly fried with choice of two eggs, potatoes and toast. I prefer the heavy gravy on the side because it is the least healthy part of the meal. It was a filling load washed down with their generic coffee. Enjoyed it and will no doubt keep me satisfied for at least several months until the urge for bad eating habits overtakes me again. I really did like planning a long drive this way. Logical way to break up the travel and have enjoyable interludes on the road. read more

Always a pleasure to stop in this Denny's location. The coffee is great and Chad is quick to refill. Can't go wrong with bacon and eggs but I did try their Turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread, which was fresh and tasty. Very filling meal and didn't try the French fries which came with the sandwich. AFTER driving x 4 hours I was cold and hungry. Pulled into Dennys and got treated like a Princess. Prompt service and attentive in a very busy truck stop. The hot tea and Country Steak dish were good and filling. The hot water for the tea came in a glazed container that really kept the water hot on a very cool and windy night. The waiter brought me more hot water without asking. The Steak came with two sides, i ordered Red skinned potatoes and sautéed zucchini. It came with a garlicky toasted bread. AM glad I had this option vs fast food joints. read more

I came here a week ago right before the snow storm and the evening crew was fantastic, the food was well prepared leaving me to want more. Today I decided to come back around 2pm as I do my 10 hour reset and order the same dish as last time "Bourbon Chicken Skille however it wasn't great this time around. it had little sauce, the chicken was slightly overcooked and I requested no mushrooms specifically due to having a severe allergy and it was served with mushrooms. I instantly had to go and grab Benadryl because my face started itching, if I ate the mushroom I could've died. They decided to remake the bottom of the dish which was dry and place the same two pieces of chicken on the plate. I wasn't happy about this experience but still stayed polite and asked for a to go box. I received a small discount and 10% off my next order however I feel that the meal should've been taken completely off the bill or accommodated for something different rather than looking at me from the bar wondering if I'm going to eat the food with the same chicken from the plate with mushrooms being placed on top of the new plate that was served and little sauce but it's okay. I still payed but I would like the staff to make sure to tell the cook about allergy restrictions for your table. This could have been a lot worse; especially knowing the restaurant was slow at the time. I'm not upset, I'm just disappointed that my experience was this way. Especially after having an amazing one the previous time. Please let this be a lesson to prevent any future mistakes or possible legal issues. If I decide to come back to this location I'll most likely never order anything besides breakfast. I hope your experience is better than the one I had today. read more

We usually stop at the Flying J in New Milford on our way to/from Ontario and just get something to eat in the car. Not anymore! The Denny's at this truck sop was FABULOUS. They were a bit understaffed so it took a while to be seated but the manager, who was also serving as waiter, host and cashier, made us feel right at home. The broiled salmon and the brisket/mac and cheese were excellent and served hot and quickly. It was a well appreciated stop in the middle of a long trip! read more

Keep driving. Food and service were below average. We stopped here while on the road because of the convenient location off the highway. The burger and pancakes in our order were overcooked, and the eggs were runny. The wait-staff was not attentive. They did return to refill our water or beverages during our mid-morning meal. When we requested one to go, the sever tried to charged an additional $3. We will skip this stop on our next trip. read more

Hmmm... interesting experience. We decided to make a pit stop and eat at Denny's but when passing through the door, we were nicely surprised. We entered a fairytale land for kids and adults, for both men and women. It was a real awesome idea by the creator of this place. This shop was filled with every, truly every, possible candy, protein bars, bags of chips, nuts, beef jerky, and chewing gums. All chips are half price. The next isle was filled with all kinds of electronic devises, we felt like we were at Best Buy. Then there was an isle for kids filled with toys, hats and mugs. After we finally finished wandering around, we reached a coffee isle. It was offering all possible coffee flavors and strength, as well all possible flavors of creamers and milk. I finally approached the register, one hand filled with a variety of protein bars, nuts, and in another a full cup of steaming vanilla hazelnut coffee. When it was time to pay, i noticed right at the register there was freshly baked pizza coming straight out of the oven that none of us could resist. We payed and got back to the car and only then we remembered that this entire trip was supposed to be for Denny's, not a fairy tail land of sweets, electronics, and toys, as well as the most delicious pizza and coffee. It was at a pit stop on highway 81 on my way to Philadelphia from Toronto, I was tired and the roads were slow with construction and rainy weather so my meal hit the spot. Only realized that after it was served to us, more than half the items mentioned on the menu were not even on my plate, albeit I asked for no eggs. Every good roadtrip needs a diner in its path. Finding Denny's on Oliver Road was our diner. We arrived close to 8 pm on a Friday evening and found the place being cared for by Sachsa. She was, in fact our server too! She was kind and attentive. She came by our table several times throughout the meal to check in our progress and see if we needed anything. She apologized for being out of ice tea on this particular warm evening, but happily brought us other drinks. The negative, which was totally avoidable, was that the manager was wearing a filthy shirt which matched his overall countenance. This Denny's was extremely underwhelming. Went today with my family and it took a solid 12 minutes to so before we were waited on. Our food came to our table no faster-- some of it was cold, but mostly adequate. The customer service was hit or miss, some employees seemed to be stressed out and we were given a bit of an attitude while entering the store and throughout the experience.
