This spot is one of very few dive bars in the area with reasonable prices under same management as Rocka Rolla and Skinny Dennis believe it or not. They had 24 oz bud drafts for $6. I came early on a weekday evening and it was actually fairly busy even then. They also seem to allow small dogs too. They have a CD Jukebox but had mostly rare albums I never heard of. Mostly spanish and rap music played in the background, which I don't really care for but to each their own. There is also a back outdoor patio. In fact, I noticed a few folks walk in and went straight to the back without even ordering a drink, and bartender didn't seem to mind. Very laid back vibe where it seems most patrons knew each other, but I still felt welcomed. I'd come back here if ever in the area again.

This bar is freaking awesome!! I pretty much only frequent dive bars and this has every element of what I expect a great dive bar to be. The owners of this place are the same owners of my favorite rock dive bar, Rocka Rolla, so I knew this was going to be a good spot. Came here for happy hour a couple of weeks ago after having lunch nearby. It was really nice out that day and they have outdoor and backyard seating so that was a pleasure. My friends and I were met with very friendly bartenders who knew how to mix drinks! They have about 3 premixed, bottled drinks that look delicious. Any place that has a Dark and Stormy on their cocktail menu is a-okay in my book. It was yummy, strong, and in a huge cup! Had a couple of Gin and Tonics after that. The female bartender was terrific. They have bags of chips and tacos. Didn't have any but it's nice that they have some munchie options. There are two booths when you come in and a good amount of bar seating. Some tables and chairs before you head out to the backyard and tons of seating on picnic benches out there. The decor is totally random, but I love it. They predominantly play R&B and hip-hop but the jukebox selection is very diverse. A dollar gets you 2 song plays. Next to the jukebox is the EXTREMELY narrow staircase down to the bathrooms. Be careful doing down there when you're tipsy and hold on! The best part was when it hit 7 PM and the male bartender turned the music off and shouted, "Everyone, we're going to watch Jeopardy now!" Loved it! Everyone was playing along and having a good time. It's very easy to lose track of time here because the vibe is on point. Clean, good drinks, and a chill vibe? I'll be back! Especially since the B38 is just down the block.

Cute divey spot! Love the bartender here!!! The drinks are always on point and the music is always a vibe! They have this interesting coffee item which is literally called "that coffee thing" haha but seriously it's really good and perfect for the summer.

No frills dive that makes best use of it's limited space as possible. Bar seating up front, tables at the entrance, high tops to the side. And a patio when it's nice out. Draft list here has a decent selection and generally between $7-9 for a pint. There's also a good amount of cocktail specials but no food to speak of (don't think they mind people bringing any in). For an added bonus, they do allow dogs inside, as well as in the patio area. Bartender here is really nice and they do accept credit cards. Great spot to chill and the late hours are always a plus

This is what a dive bar is supposed to be!! We came by on a random Wednesday night and we enjoyed everything from the music, to the decor, to the drinks and the service! This is a great spot to visit and it's on our list for when we're back in Brooklyn!

Came here late Saturday night, maybe around 1 am. Plays hot topic metal music, so that was a drag lol but the place had a great vibe. There was a bartender there with the most outrageous mustache. I ordered a couple L.I.T's and by the second I was buzzed. Good job bartenders! Would I venture here again? Probably not, the music alone is atrocious, It Seems like a perfect like dive bar for artsy hipsters.

I passed by this place countless times during the day and never really cared much about it since it looked sub-par from the outside. However, I gave it a try one day, and I absolutely loved it. It is definitely the local watering hole for strangers and weirdos but honestly isn't that how you have a good time? Great music, cheap drinks, and it's definitely uber hipster with its retro kitschy interior, and the ppl that gather here. Needless to say, it's a great place to be in when you're looking for something casual, and the bartenders were great.

Do or Dive is literally the bar to trek to Bed-Stuy for! I made the commute via bike from the Bowery! Quick ride across the Manhattan Bridge and through the Navy Yard and I was at my destination. The bar was exactly what I wanted. The Delicious Dive that my liver drools for! Beer memorabilia, two small booths in the front and a long bar with a corner spot for skeeball. Come to Mama! And what can beat an ice cold beer after a hot summer bike ride!? The bar filled up rather quickly. The word is out in this place. Get here early! The bartenders were also hilarious and knowledgeable. I learned about two toxic drink orders that are popular amongst the booze hounds here. Ring of Fire - a shot of tequila followed by a shot of Bloody Mary and then a baby glass of beer! I bet it lives up to it's name in many ways! The Bear Fight- a Irish Carbomb followed by a Jägerbomb!! "Feels like a bear fight in your belly" quote from the afternoon Sunday bartender! I have been tempted to come early Sunday for "bagels" but my Sundays are at times extremely lazy and filled with Netflix instant Frasier episodes! Cheers Do or Dive! I'll come back soon and visit! Counting down the days for the PATIO to open!! It will be a glorious day indeed! Thanks to the people who brought us Rocka Rolla, Lucky Dog and Skinny Dennis! The coffee things lives in Bed-Stuy!

Pet friendly, cheap, good service, fun vibe, good booze selection, want else could you ask for? A shuffle board? Well, they also have that! A must if you're in the area no matter the day of the week. They even let you bring outside food. I highly recommend their Bloody Mary chaser, so delicious!

Not sure what the dog ordered.

The wine and food was decent (nothing special). I will note that the food is served hot. My bf and I played several rounds of Uno while seated at the bar. The cards were sticky (not surprised). The music selection was pretty good. They played a few 90's throwbacks along with some other classics. A pretty chill night for a Friday.

The bartender ID'd all of us and then aggressively made SURE that we weren't giving our drinks to minors (even though we're all over 25). One of my friends forgot her ID, so she decided to just hang out and not drink but the bartender continued to watch us on outside cameras to police our drinking. The bartender even made one of my friends take a shot in front of her to prove that she wouldn't give the drink to our friend that forgot her ID. Despite the bar being empty, the bartender was on a mission to harass us, most of us being queer and black. Eventually she recruited her male friend to continue interrogate us outside, even though we were simply paying customers enjoying our drinks. One of my friends, who's black, responded to the interrogation reasonably - explaining that we are all paying customers, we all paid our tabs, and everyone that was drinking was over 21. The bartender then accused her of yelling at her and then proceeded to call the cops on us. If you're anti black and love licking boots just say it boo! Your bar was EMPTY!! I wish none of my friends had tipped you or given you their business to begin with. We'll never be back. Get well soon.
