I saw all the amazing 5 star reviews for True Blue and noticed a common theme. Honest, fair, professional, informative, nice, competitive pricing. All 100+ very positive reviews and not a single negative review. As we all know, that's essentially nonexistent when dealing with the public in any capacity, particularly when it comes to the HVAC service industry. I gave them a call to schedule an estimate. Lisa answered and was amazing with accommodating my schedule and with all subsequent correspondence. Shane came out a couple days later, educated me on the new systems, patiently answered all my questions and took his time explaining in detail my options (I ended up going with the Bosch/heat pump. Quietest compressor I've ever witnessed). Shane sent over a quote that was less than another quote I had received and with many more upgraded options including a $2K federal tax credit. Much more overall value for my money. Shane's crew (Kevin, Rudy & Brandon) came out on the scheduled date and time and handled business to perfection. Removed my old stuff, installed the new equipment and made sure everything was working flawlessly before leaving that same day. The enter process was seamless. Like so many others, I can't recommend Shane and True Blue Heating & Air Conditioning enough for anyone looking to replace their HVAC system. There aren't many small, family owned businesses like this one any more.

ALFRED BIRNHAUPL (AC leak repair) - Fixed pipe leak from AC and completed comprehensive assessment of our dysfunctional zoning system. DOMENICK ALONGE (project manager) - Reviewed findings from Alfred, provided detailed indication of issues and resolution options with several quotes. Here's why our experience has been superior to previous companies: All three specialists were not only punctual, friendly, and courteous, but they took their time to evaluate our issues in CLEAR layman terms corroborated by photos, and showing us exactly where the problems were in person. We previously obtained a quote from a large corporate company and was left feeling dumbfounded and stressed as they described the nature of our problem in engineering, technical jargon that made absolutely no sense, including astronomical quotes without explanation of the work entailed. We continued experiencing intermittent issues with our AC and heater so we called Friends & Family based on their excellent reviews. This time around, with Friends & Family, we left feeling knowledgeable and reassured, with reasonable quotes including various discount eligibility. He saw me struggling to dig a hole for my plant and volitionally offered to help me. He took the extra time to dig the hole for me, exemplifying his genuine kindness and generosity! Similarly, my kids were running amuck and screaming and shouting while I attempted to maintain a conversation with ALFRED. He was very understanding and continued to engage in conversation, appearing unbothered by the chaos with a pleasant disposition. Lastly, DOMENICK was appointed on the day of our son's birthday. He related to us interpersonally and even helped assemble my son's new Radio Flyer bike! I told him that Sean also helped me garden and we laughed about how Friends & Family is a "one-stop shop." Given everything I mentioned, we're excited to have our overdue AC/heater system fully repaired by Friends & Family. He found that the refrigerant was low and that the pressures weren't resetting as they should. He recharged the system, reconnected my electrostatic filter, and took the time to explain what might be causing the issue, as well as discuss possible future options. Mike was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I felt confident in his assessment and appreciated that he never tried to pressure me into unnecessary repairs or a replacement. I suggested he check with the office while he was here, but he just threw his hands up and said it was what it was. After talking with Matt, the owner, it seems like that original quote included a bunch of other things (like an extended service plan) that I just didn't need and the first tech didn't communicate those elements clearly. Matt apologized for the miscommunication and came out personally the next day to fix what needed to be fixed at a copacetic price point. I wish things had gone more smoothly with the first tech, but appreciate Matt's responsiveness and eagerness to get everything back on track.

Turns out the furnace emergency mode was tripped due to a dirty air filter. Our new build home recommended we replace our air filters every 6 months. For the type of furnace we have we should be replacing them monthly! Sean quickly reset the furnace after 5 minutes the cooling and heating started to work again. I would do business with these folks again as they were fast and the price was fair. If it wasn't for the heat wave coming I'm sure they would've scheduled me sooner.

The project included 15 Ethernet drops across six rooms and 1900 sq ft, audio speaker wiring, and height speaker installation. The work turned out very well overall. What stands out most was Rick's accountability to the job and for the work of his crew. He was communicative, kept me informed throughout the job, and made absolutely sure any issues I had were addressed. Rick's team also tested every cable run with a Fluke tester and verified that each run was properly shielded and capable of 10 Gbps performance. They were also attentive to the smaller cosmetic detail requests, including cable color, outlet style, and the specific placement of wall jacks. Although just about everything is expensive nowadays, the pricing for the scope and quality of work was reasonable. It was a pleasure working with these guys -- I'd definitely hire them again for any future data cabling, audio, camera installation work.
