Black owned business that I am proud to highlight!! DMV wired was very quick and efficient in installing 4 chandeliers and one dimmer throughout my parent's house. They even partially assembled 2 of the chandeliers by meticulously hanging the small accessories to the main frames. Overall, my parents were very satisfied by their work..and I was elated when I came home for Father's Day to see how installations came together. But in spite of my glowing review, there were some major points lost with this service: First, They weren't wearing any masks upon or during their service!! In this COVID era, you can't even enter a business without a mask, so don't think it acceptable to come to someone's house without one...unless its agreed upon by all parties. My dad is a physician and my mom is very health conscious...so they wore their masks during this visit. Also, did you know Prince George's County has the highest rate of COVID infections in all of Maryland? We as a people have to do better and keep safe!!! Second, they did not bring or wear any boot covers, or take off their shoes...but would have stepped all over my parent's white carpet if my mom didn't say something...yikes! Third, they did not bring a sheet cover/floor protector to lay on the carpet and wood floors to prevent scuffs/scratches, or anything that might fall and break during the installation.....even if they would've requested that my parents to provide one (which my parents did) that would've at least shown some consideration. I point all this out because Mr. Damien is obviously a great electrician...but these finer details will take this business to the next level because it would reflect pure professionalism and finesse. Overall, I highly recommend DMV wired...but I hope they take my constructive feedback into strong consideration...I know other people who would gladly patronize their services, but who would look at them crazy if they missed some of these details :)

DMV Wired had great pricing, did quick work, and did a great job for an outlet installation. Will be using them again!

Damien and Brion showed up on time with masks and gloves. They are knowledgeable and efficient. I'd hire them again.

Consumer Warning: Do Not Hire FixTman LLC (Washington, D.C.)…read more I would strongly caution anyone against hiring FixTman LLC for TV mounting or installation services. I hired this company through a referral from BJ's Wholesale Club, expecting professional installation. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The technician arrived and spent 4 hours mounting my TV. Less than 10 minutes after he left, the TV fell completely out of the wall. After I contacted the company, the technician returned with his father and reinstalled it. That should have been the first red flag. The TV was installed in September 2025. In April 2026, the TV fell out of the wall again -- this time causing serious damage: * Destroyed my TV * Damaged my wall / sheetrock * Left me with additional repair costs I contacted FixTman LLC again, and their response was that they would do nothing because it had been more than 30 days. To make matters worse, Thumbtack Quality Assurance also stepped in and tried to help resolve the issue on my behalf. They contacted FixTman LLC directly, only to be told the exact same thing -- that I only had 30 days and they would not take responsibility. Let that sink in. A properly mounted TV should not fall out of a wall -- not once, and definitely not twice. This was not normal wear and tear. This was poor workmanship, improper installation, and a complete lack of accountability. In over 40 years, I have never seen anything like this. Please do your research before hiring this company. I will also be reporting this experience to BJ's Wholesale Club, since they referred them. I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.
