It probably helped that I had an appointment and it probably helped that it was a Tuesday afternoon. The place was not very busy. But it was a smooth and easy experience just as you would hope for but maybe not expect. I made a point of leaving the review because I saw all the negatives before I went and it really was good. People who have bad experiences are more likely to leave a review - that's just how it is - so I wanted to add my experience for balance.

She claims she called me 5 times. I apologized again. She repeats she called me 5 times. I apologized again. I couldn't hear her next question so I talked slightly louder asking her to repeat. Her response was you don't need to be angry at me. I said I'm not I can't hear you so I'm assuming you can't hear me either. She says, I have another customer, wait and I'll be with you. I went back to the check-in desk and asked for a different window. Tha individual said please talk to a manager when you're done. Sounds like this is not out of the ordinary for counter 14. I was quickly called to station 17 and the gentleman there was superb. Also 14 still didn't have a customer. I spoke with a manager to not only let her know about 14 but also to shout out 17 on exemplary customer service! Hope 14 quickly realizes she needs a job that's not people facing.

Blatant revers discrimination. Guard allowed a man to cut in line after the rest of us stood out side for an hour! He had a cane..... well so did others. I didn't think I could be more discussed with the DMV... but I am 10 months later I get a notice I must come in during the middle of the pandemic so I can get a picture taken for a new license center, and have my vision tested from 10 months ago... and pay an added $32. S L O W. One man was handing out bakery slips for your que position. So we stood outside longer while chairs sat empty. This took 20 min once in the door. Hour plus wait sitting inside.... then my number was called. Yahoo! But then I couldn't even hear the woman's voice for what she wanted, speak up! I'm not deaf but it seemed that way! Then she was incompetent and we had to do everything twice, she had to ask the person next to her 3 times and I had to ask for a supervisor! Pull the paperwork out put back pull out, put back.... End result.... I wasted 3 hours of my life, cost me an added $30 for a piece of paper to carry around for a year, when I would have another opportunity to pay an added $37. The alternative was to do this all again in a month! ReALLY! I got very Very VERY angry but decided it wasn't worth being arrested and left. This is not a review on the people but the broken system that is the DMV and everything that…read moreentails. I'm returning from overseas with my American vehicle and needed to have it titled and registered in VA. I made an appointment and was 5 minutes early to it. After I arrived, I was immediately seen by a very nice lady (this is where it breaks down). Although I had a folder filled with documents weighing close to five pounds, she couldn't complete my requests because I was "missing" three forms, one of which I had and the other which my international shipping agency said they've never been asked for before. Therefore, the lady gave me a ticket (TA130) to be seen by the next available window. Well, 129 was called then 131, 132, all the way to 138. In the midst of all this, I did receive a text that window 12 was ready to see me. The only issue is that no one was at window 12 and no one ever came to window 12. I spoke to the lady who gave me the ticket. She then gave me another, non appointment, ticket, which pushed me further down the wait line. For 2 hours I asked myself why did I make an appointment. This story has a happy ending though. I was finally helped and all was well; however, getting there was a feat. DMV should have been something that DOGE investigated right after they finished with USAID.
