After living here for 18 months, I've about had it with this post office. First off, their hours are ridiculous. With everyone working in that office, they do not ALL need to take lunch at the same time and close the entire place during the one time during the day other working people can take care of their mail. But, that's small compared to the other stuff. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. something is being sent to us that requires a signature, they do not make any attempts to actually obtain one. We live in a planned community and our mail goes to central freestanding boxes. One must actually make an attempt to knock on the door to deliver these items, and they've not done that once. We always get those pretty pink notices that they've attempted to deliver twice and I need to come pick it up in person. Um, I work from home and my home office window looks right out to my driveway. They must have been invisible and silent as the night when they "attempted" delivery...
Yet, I let it ride. I've also let it ride for too long that the guy delivering our mail doesn't even work for the post office. No, he works for his MOM who works for the post office. Yeah, this place is a contract post office, so the carriers don't even work directly for USPS. It's basically the paper route rendition of the postal service. Now, if you do your job correctly, sure I can run with it. But, when you start fabricating things about the people who live here and then dredging up drama? And, the post office doesn't care. I know plenty of good people that actually work for USPS and they've all assured me that this is NOT how this organization rolls. Still, everyone in surrounding areas gets certified, legit postal carriers, and I get a guy rolling through in a janky USPS van blasting obscene rap music while driving the wrong way on a one-way street who can't even take five seconds to deliver certified mail and seems to forget that every other house in this neighborhood has a Ring doorbell cam.
Still waiting to hear from the postmaster about the complaint I called in yesterday, and my ECC complaint is being filed today. read more
