DMV EXTERIORS Is by far the best!! I met Matthew DeMarco at a 7-11 in one of their company vehicles, which was very attractive due to the wrap they had on it. I began to ask Matthew about how much he thought it would cost to replace my roof and possibly gutters. Matthew went out of his was to spend well over 30 minutes explaining all of the intricacies involved with replacing a roof and how many different kinds there are, all of which I knew nothing about. After our very nice and educational conversation, Matthew exchanged numbers with me and explained that, due to my missing shingles and the rain approaching, he should probably have one of his inspectors (Maury White) come out and take a look because based on what he gathered from me he said it sounded like I could potentially have severe storm damage and if that's the case I may be in really good position for a possible homeowners insurance claim. Later that evening Matthew texted me asking if it would be ok if he and Maury came by my home first thing in the morning to do a roof inspection for storm damage and also make sure I didn't have any leaks or need a tarp. They arrived at 9:45am for a 10am appt, let me know they were there and went straight to work. It might have taken all of 30 minutes. They tarped my roof for free, came back down showed me all the pictures and even informed me that I had a leak, of which I was unaware. At that time Maury White explained how he's been doing this 13 years and he definitely believed that I had severe storm damage. He showed me all the pictures of what it looked like In the area he tarped and it was completely exposed the wood was rotten. Maury and Matthew both sat at the table with me while I filed the claim and helped me throughout the whole process. Not only that, they came back out on the day that the adjuster came just to ensure that I would get everything I was entitled to. Long story short: not only did I get a GAF Timberline HDZ golden pledge lifetime roofing system, they gave me "FREE" gutters in exchange for me putting a sign in my front yard. It did not stop there Matthew and Maury both followed up so well throughout this whole process and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy even the owner of DMV, Gian, stopped by and introduced himself and thanked us for the business. DMV EXTERIORS is by far the best roofing company that genuinely cares about there customers, not about their bank account. They care about people, average everyday people. Matthew could have sold me a roof as I was prepared to buy one but he went the extra mile and brought his "Insurance guru" Maury White and they did everything they said they would and more. I wish there was more than a review I could do to pay them back for the help, time and knowledge they gave me during this project. read more

I hate writing this review. I requested an estimate from Gian (owner of DMV Exteriors) because I have history with his dad, who owns a contracting company called ORBE. Gian's dad did great work for me in years past. I figured that the "apple does not fall far from the tree", so I reached out to Gian at DMV for a new roof estimate. He came out and even went up on my roof, which impressed me because no other company did that. However, his currency with me fell off when he ghosted me and never provided an estimate nor returned a call when I left a message as to the status of the estimate. I have had experience with roofers in the past and I have discovered that there are many who are unprofessional and even unethical. I thought I was safe here with Gian and DMV. I have been greatly disappointed. It is the unprofessional roofers who give a bad rep to the entire industry. I am simply sorry that this did not work out. I did not expect this. read more

I've never written a bad review on Yelp but this company is not responsive at ALL. I had prior work by them on a flashing area. Recently I had water damage to my condo from the siding area and called them out to look. They came and said I would receive a quote but it's been almost 3 weeks and I haven't heard or received anything. I tried calling a couple of numbers I have for the company and never get a response. To make things worse since I didn't hear from them I contacted another company who said the flashing job that was previously done by dmv ext was not done properly and is the potential reason I am now having water getting in in addition to the siding. Excellent service! From the initial contact through the final review, DMV Exteriors was courteous and professional. They showed up early to our scheduled appointments, which is something rare these days. We had hail and wind damage which I reported as a NWS trained spotter. Apparently, siding and roofing people go bonkers whenever we make these weather reports that are officially documented by NWS and NOAA. In short basically our entire neighborhood had their roofing and siding replaced over the course of 6 months. We reached out to Gian twice and never got a response so we ended up going with another company. In fact Gian actually said, Father's Day is approaching we're too busy. So that really makes me question all of these amazing reviews because that's definitely not my personal experience. He's local and we would have liked to use him but he ignored us. In addition, several of our neighbors (who don't use yelp but told me it's ok to share their experience) used DMV Exteriors because insurance wouldn't cover all of the siding and roofing as they didn't have substantial enough damage. The neighbors who used them weren't impressed. The job took too long (several months longer than expected) and they tried to replace siding with basically a mishmash of scraps from other jobs. Definitely not the glowing five stars listed. Also take note of the 10 reviews not recommended. There's a reason for that. read more

We were very happy with several aspects of our recent dealings with DMV. We contacted them because our roof was leaking into an upstairs bathroom ceiling. First, the office staff (Francesco) was very responsive and courteous. We received a call back within the hour and actually had Gian come out for a roof assessment the same day. We had a very good experience with DVM Exteriors for the replacement of our roof thanks to representatives Edgar Marquex and Brian Kaplan. They worked diligently with our home insurer to ensure known hail and wind damage was reviewed and noted which led to full coverage for the replacement. The installers were very good, personable and courteous, and did a great job of the cleanup once the work was completed. Their GAF Timberline products are top of the line and even the new flashing and boots around all roof vents, chimney, and attic fan were handled with the close attention to detail they required. Gian and his team did a great job repairing our roof and interior water damage, and I'd highly recommend them. During a heavy rain this fall, I discovered a piece of our 2nd floor ceiling had come out and there was water damage on the ceiling and adjacent wall. With much more rain expected in the next few days, I was eager to get someone out to fix - or at least cover the leak. Most roofers said they could come in a few weeks - and a couple didn't show, but Gian responded quickly and fit us in after a full day (even though it had gotten dark!) They did a quick patch up of the trouble spot while developing the estimate, which kept out the next few rains. Once we signed off on the estimate, they were thorough with both interior and exterior repairs. They also patched up a couple other potentially problematic spots on the roof and walked us through some larger preventative measures we might want to consider. All in all, I was quite happy with their work and appreciated their customer service and attention to timing issues. read more

I have used DMV Exteriors for two major projects of my own (major siding repair and roof replacement on a rental property in DC in May 2018 and new gutters just installed on my MD residence), and recommended them to my sister-in-law to replace her roof in Bowie. All three projects (performed over the past 16 months) were completed on time and more than competitively priced. In the case of the rental property, we had suffered substantial damage from rotting siding. I got three bids, two of which struck me as focused on cosmetic solutions. One, from a well-known, trusted (but pricey) firm, offered to repair some roof valleys in addition to siding. Neither company would warranty its work. Gian Ore' produced a comprehensive bid (with 32 pages of detail), replacing the roof, sealing the area behind the siding, and offering a warranty for five years on the siding (and something like 50 years on the roof!) When we decided to sell the property, he offered to make the warranties fully transferable. His price was about 20 percent above the very well-known firm's, but it included so much more - and guaranteed the work. When additional work was needed beyond that originally agreed, he did it at no additional cost. I was beyond happy with the work - and when we sold the property, the new owner was delighted to receive the unexpected gift of warranteed work on his new home. My sister-in-law was extremely pleased with DMV's replacement of her roof; and we are very pleased with the new gutters we just had DMV install on our home in Potomac; price, quality, and care with installation were all first-rate.
