My Mac book died (sob) so I went to the Apple store to confirm that it really was deceased (double sob). They told me that if I bought housing, and removed the memory from my harddrive, I'd at least be able to recover my files and photos. That sounded great, but I don't have any tools in Canada, and I wouldn't even know what to look for if I opened up my ex-Mac. So, I drove down to Richmond in the pouring rain to visit DMAC. The bloke on the counter was incredibly helpful! He took out my memory, sealed it into the cover and then checked that it worked. What would have taken me ages (and several you tube tutorials) took him mere minutes. Then, when I asked what I owed him, he didn't charge me! He is a gentleman and a scholar. I spotted the "review us on yelp" sign on the counter, so I figured one good turn deserves another. It you have any Apple/Mac related problems, bring them to this super-helpful shop! I went to the Richmond Apple Store a couple of weeks ago because my air Pods were not charging. One of the staff asked me how she could help me and I explained that my air Pods had stopped charging. She took me over to Chris and told her what was going on. She took my Air Pods and looked them over then started digging out fluff from the charging port and after a few minutes plugged it back into the charger and it worked. She said this was a common problem when people put the charge case in their pockets. I came in thinking I would have to purchase a new charger but thanks to Chris and her team it cost me zero. The place was very busy with people, and it was refreshing to see how Chris handled my problem. I would highly recommend Chris and her team. read more

Normally, I do my own fixing, but when I needed to replace the keyboard on an old MacBook, I ordered the part from iFixIt without noticing that they didn't actually have instructions for replacing it. Fortunately, I was in the Lower Mainland for a visit, and DMAC got the keyboard replaced in a jiffy. read more

The service here is incredible. They offer low-cost solutions and often do quick fixes for free. I have an apple watch that apple calls vintage, meaning they don't service them anymore. The top lifted which is a known issue with these watches because the battery swells. They no longer fix them, and I cannot afford a new watch at this time. I took it to DMAC, and because the inside ring was still intact, it was a simple fix to glue it down and when I asked how much, he said no problem. These guys sell non apple brand cords at their store for iphones, and apple computers. The cords work only for a short time (usually for only about 2-3 weeks) and then stop working. Their warranty only covers 2 weeks. When the apple iOS changes on your device, the cords stop working but they don't tell you that when you buy them. I was just informed this by one of the people who work at the store today. Prior to that they never mentioned that before. I've bought many cords from this company that stopped working very quickly. It's a waste of money. Even worse, I bought a non-apple charging cord for my Macbook Pro. The cord burned a hole in my $3000 couch and it wasn't even the wattage it should have been according to other stores I went to. It burned so hot I thought it would start a fire. I had to handle it with gloves. Beware buying any cords from this company whatsoever. The cords don't work for long and even worse yet, they might be fire hazards (truly). Be careful. read more

These guys saved my phone!! I got my iPhone XS Max fixed elsewhere (somebody working out of their house in Richmond who was offering a good price) and they really screwed up my phone (LESSON LEARNED!) .. It wouldn't stop restarting and the sound was slightly messed up. Went to a few different places and got referred to this shop by a different store. I called them on Sunday and dropped off my phone, monday was a holiday so the tech did a free diagnostic on tuesday. By wednesday I was able to pick up my phone and it was all fixed!! Not to mention, the staff here were super friendly and so knowledgeable. They really do know what they were doing & the price is worth it for the piece of mind. I'm sooo glad I found this place in Richmond. No other cell phone repair stores in the Vancouver/Richmond area could help me (and I called a lot). Thanks guys!!! When my Mac died, they were able to perform quick and thorough diagnostics to determine the root issue (which they did free of charge), gave me honest and helpful recommendations as to next steps, and were ultimately able to repair my device (which I'm now writing this review on) at a very reasonable cost. Fantastic place. I honestly can't say enough good. When my computer died on me, they did a free diagnostic, were able to figure out the problem. I opted not to fix the computer as it was a bit of a lost cause and they didn't even charge for the diagnosis. I will be using them again. Service and reputation is excellent. Located in Landsdowne Mall in Richmond, boring but perhaps a little underrated mall, they have Earls, Best Buy and Future Shop as their anchors, and almost forgot Toys R Us. Only purchase my apple products DMAC, including my latest iMAC. As well they transferred all my files and software from my old computer without difficulty. And, they are taking my super old iMac and replacing my hard drive and adding more Ram. Prices are the same as the Apple Store but the service is way more personal and professional. Whenever I am in need of a usb to micro usb phone charger this is where I stop to one up. If you are lucky you can expect a buy one to get one half price special and pick up 2 for less than $10. They have a variety of phone cases and other knick knacks. The guy behind the counter is efficient and courteous but not overly friendly which is okay by me. read more

I went to DMac today to have the screen on my iPhone 4 replaced. I had dropped it face first on concrete so I smashed it good, real good. That was no problem at all for Michael who took under an hour and a half to replace my screen and now my phone is as good as new. It cost $89.59 including tax and labour which was a great deal in my opinion; particularly since all the Apple store would offer is buying a new iPhone 4 for $169 +tax and shipping (since I had passed the warranty date). I HIGHLY recommend DMac and Michael in particular who was not only efficient but SO nice too! read more
