Meineke Car Care Center

Meineke Car Care Center

They did a great job, informing me of problem and took care of it. Friendly staff. Thank youread more

I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.

Dependable Auto Service

Dependable Auto Service

Everyone needs a place they can trust when it comes to auto care, and I am so thankful that I found…read morethese guys. Dependable Auto is a gold mine in my very own backyard. This city treasure is a rare triple-threat combination of honestly, knowledge, and accountability. JB and Tommy are the gentleman that will be working on your vehicle, and they both have a profound knowledge in the auto repair industry - not to mention a broad spectrum of it. One of the most valued aspects of this place is the lack of BS. They will not invent problems, they will not exacerbate existing issues, and they absolutely will not give you any salesy dialogue. In the last year, they have helped me turn a 2005 Ford Escape from near death to working fantastic with no problems. My heat was out, the thermostat was broken, the engine was overheating, the alignment was off, the suspension was poor, the front and back brakes were ruined, the oil was leaking, the top hinge on the back window liftgate was rotted out and the window was hanging, and the ball joints were loose. I was in a difficult place financially and they worked with me. JB and Tommy sat me down and walked through the progressions of top priority to lowest, and a year later my car is as running at high performance with zero issues. They do small jobs and big jobs, they order small parts or large ones. You name it they will do it. Financing is available if you aren't able to settle up front, and they are flexible as to when they can work on the vehicle. If you have something that doesn't need to be fixed right away, JB and Tommy will let you know that you have some flexibility when it comes to that particular issue. Dependable Auto will never do something to your car that is going to cost you money - that doesn't need to be done. Tommy is perhaps the hardest working guy I've ever seen. This company is built on honestly and integrity. JB is a proud owner who has gone out of his way to uphold the history of Dependable Auto. Originally called Cities Service, the original owner came in recently and shared a photo with JB that showed the original spot with gas pumps and a vintage Coke machine. As many people know it was then owned by Mr. Rosenberger and then Rosenberger's son Gary. Gary was a beloved member of the 1977 Marquette Warriors that won the NCAA National Championship. It's always what you want, when you want it. I have never felt this way about any business that I have had to give money too. But that's what's unique about the industry - you are able to develop a relationship with a foundation of trust and understanding - and you can go back to it without ever having to working about a car again. I've never had a reason to write such great things about a company, and it feels good to do it and be completely authentic about it.

These guys are great. I was faced with an emergency car…read moreissue and needed a reasonable garage who could respond fairly quickly and preferably close to home. After calling 6 or 7 places, Voline fell toward the lower end in pricing, was right in the middle on timing and they are walkable from my home. I dropped the car off believing that I needed an alternator, an expense I was not planning on. I walked home. Two hours later they called me and said the car was fine. I didn't need the expensive replacement after all. That's an honest garage. I was pleased. I asked them if they could install a mirror that I had pre-purchased since they had the vehicle and the mirror was in the car. They worked me back into the schedule. Labor costs were reasonable. I paid about $150 all in; the VW dealer charges $750 for the mirror plus installation. (Note: When they quoted me the alternator, they looked at rebuilt units to save me money. Then they called me back when they did further research and discovered there were two sizes and prices. Thorough.) They were friendly and accommodating, honest and helpful. In a world of people who would take advantage, they went out of their way to do the opposite. My mom has also gotten gas here. Full service means they even clean your windows. Sadly, my car is diesel and they only have regular and premium. I will, however, recommend them to all my friends and visitors. Three cheers to Dick and the team. I'm a new regular, although I hope I don't need them any time soon.
