Sunnyvale never stops to amaze me! Tucked away in the oddest of places, close to Lawrence Expressway and surrounded mostly by small business shops and eateries, is DL Brazuca, a Brazilian Market and Eatery. The moment you step thru the doors, you are transported straight to Brazil. Dina and Louis, the owners, whose initials form 'DL' Brazuca, have created a beloved and frequented establishment in Sunnyvale. We were greeted with smiles and Dina answered all our questions about the food patiently and helped us decide what to try. We had the Chicken Pot Pie and the Ham and Cheese Bun. The Pot Pie was freshly baked, crumbly, and the meat was so tender and flavorful. The Bun was cheesy and comforting. We also got the frozen Pao de Queijo to go. We've had these cheesy bread balls made from Cassava flour before and love them! If you are in the vicinity, I definitely recommend trying this place out! We'll be back for sure next time to try their Feijoada and fresh baked Coxinhas!

I don't have a lot of experience with Brazilian cuisine, though I have been looks for a place in the South Bay. This is the first one I've found (other than Fogo), so it was a cool experience to try the hot food here. They are closed on Sundays so it never worked out for me to stop by. I went on a Saturday and they had the Brazilian Feijoada. The menu salted this for Fridays, which was fine by me (because it sounded more interesting than the Saturday dish). Anyway, the Feijoada was one of the best tasting black bean dishes I've ever had. It was a tad on the salty side, though the flavors were interesting.

An absolute hidden gem in Sunnyvale! In an area saturated with Indian, Chinese, and other Asian cuisines, it's exciting to find this Brazilian market/restaurant. When you want a taste of Brazil without wanting to indulge in AYCE Brazilian churrascarias, this is the spot to go! When you come in, the initial impression is that it's a market of Brazilian goods. Lots of imported items throughout the store, including Guarana soda (which I personally miss, as I spent 2 months in Brazil and I drank a lot of Guarana during my days there!). I of course had to get my dose of Guarana. They also have Brigaderio in the refrigerated section, but it was sold in a small cup - it is more of a combination of chocolate cake with Brigaderio mixed into dessert cup. The richness and sweetness of Brigaderio is still there though and it's a literal sin of a treat (in a good way)! They also sell hot food over the counter! The hot food options vary on a daily basis, and they have a menu showing which dishes they sell on each day. I came by on a Tuesday, so I got the Beef Stew with Yuca. When it comes out, it's a large platter with the entree, rice, pinto beans, and farofa (toasted cassava flour). The dish was a delight, bringing me back to my days in Brazil! I also ordered Pao de Queijo (cheese bread), which was soft and chewy, as it should be! Glad to know this place isn't too far away in case I ever have a future Brazilian craving!

DL Brazuca was simply amazing! My husband and I have been looking for a Brazilian restaurant that serves chicken stroganoff and we finally found it. Not only was the food great, but the service was even better! We will continue to come back and visit this family operated restaurant. Thank you for your warm hospitality and warm welcome. Also, they have frozen entrees to purchase, a small Brazilian market, and fresh foods in refrigerators. Please go and support these amazing humans and their amazing food

One word. DELIGHTFUL!! The people, the store, the food, the flavors....truly delightful. I was alerted to this store/restaurant by a Brazilian Uber driver who told me this spot has the best and most authentic Brazilian food in the Bay Area and liked it way better than the typical churrascaria which is people think of when you say Brazilian food. I believe him when he says authentic and I can attest to the fact that it is super delicious. Everything we ate was off the charts. The cheese bread, chicken pot pie, the Brazilian chocolates and the chocolate cake. I want to go back! The best dish was the feijoada which was the dish the Uber driver said he always gets and now I know why. Wholesome and yummy. The staff was SO nice. They were so friendly and made us feel welcome and comfortable. It felt like visiting family. There was a ready stream of Brazilian people and it was cool to watch the camaraderie and conversations in Portuguese. I am a huge fan and wish them giant success.

Heart of Palm Pie, Heart of Palm Pie, Heart of Palm Pie, Heart of Palm Pie, Heart of Palm Pie... try this one thing. If you notice the volume of pickup orders.... most of the Portuguese speaking customer base are ordering a Heart of Palm Pie to go. Life changing experience. Husband and wife team. The difference is they have a full kitchen in back with a chef. He can customize and make anything for you if you give him time. 9am-530pm Like walking into someone's home kitchen. No menu.. they are just getting started. Have to ask them and once they figure out what you like they can make it for you. Lunch specials ready at 11-12ish, every day different. 2pm-4pm they make other items such as chicken pie. Every day is different. Photos on Instagram. Heart of palm pie; this could be their signature item. This is the most delicious savory pie I have ever tasted. Unique texture and subtle sour flavor. Not sweet not salty. Delicious. Combination of a cheese pizza on the top with the melted cheese and chunks of hearts of palm in a tomato cream sauce with shredded chicken? Slightly sour. Not sour like lemon or vinegar. heart of palm sour. I have never seen HOP fresh, only in cans. It isn't cheap. It is literally the center of a palm tree. I have seen a HOP salad. I have never seen or tasted a pie like this. The pie is a dramatically different experience than any HOP dish I have had. Such a unique and mouth watering texture and taste. Slightly crunchy from the heart of palm. ~36$ for an entire pie. Their pies are special. I did not know this about Brazilian cuisine. There is a leek pie they make which I haven't seen. It sounds good also. You can do an internet search for these recipes but nothing on internet comes close to what I have tasted in the last week. Maybe you have to do the search in Portuguese for a better search result. No mention of the butter or the pies. Chicken pie: different than the American version. This version has more chicken and less cream. Could qualify for a keto diet. Crust is melt in mouth fall apart texture. 5.5 each. More chicken in the pie than any sandwich. Tomato cream sauce with an occasional green olive. Grows on you after you have one. Seem to have a craving for these now. Brazil is famous for their coffee. They are one of the top producing coffee regions in the world. We never see the beauty of a Brazil roast coffee. Their coffee is smoother with no burn taste like Starbucks. You can get it here! Never had it until I tried their coffee. Very smooth, unique. Can taste the difference once you taste it. Bread and butter: simple but they use a Brazilian butter. Very creamy. Never had anything like it including the butter from Normandy France while in France. Definitely worth the visit just for the butter and coffee. Pan de queso: cheese bread. Tastes like a cheese mochi made with tapioca flour. The melted cheese is like a cross between a much and grilled cheese sandwich. These are the authentic interpretation. I had some earlier in Brazil which were cost reduced puff pastry w cheese. I never understood what the real pao de queso was until now. Filling with the cheese. Good with coffee. 2 would be enough for breakfast. Pichana: This is different than the grilled presentation from the Brazilian steak house. It comes with a small salad, beans, rice and farofa. Farofa is new. I have never seen this before. Farofa is cassava flour which is roasted with some fat to make it crunchy, mix it w beans and rice. Unique crunch and the embedded fat makes it very filling. Seems good for a keto diet. Had to eat it over 2 meals. Couldn't finish for lunch. Work in progress. They are still changing the dishes, adding more items to the lunch special. What you see in the photos may not be accurate. Farofa on the pichana is new. That wasn't in the older versions of the daily lunch menu. Very reasonably priced for a hot lunch or morning coffee. Clean. Very sweet owners

Hidden gem in a little strip mall. We've been to this strip mall to grab burgers, ramen and boba, but now there's a recently new kid on the corner. I've been meaning to try DL Brazuca for months now, and finally got around to it in May, and now finally getting around to writing my review. It's a small market/restaurant filled with imported foods, and a few tables and chairs. I was stoked they had feijoada on the menu. Ordered it and it was stellar. Savory, salty, brothy goodness filled with a variety of pork parts and stewed black beans. We also ordered a dish that contained sausage and rice. The sausage in this dish was similar in flavor and texture to hot dogs, but wasn't hot dog. Can't go wrong with Brazilian cheese bread. Supposedly it's super easy and quick to make! We ordered everything for dine-in, but I guess they only have take out containers because they served everything to us in plastic. That was the only bummer! Since it's also a little market, we brought home a bag of frozen cheese breads, coffee, and a whole frozen chicken pie. The cheese breads crisped up nicely in the oven. I wasn't a fan of the chicken pie. I was expecting a chicken pot pie (don't know why, but I was!) but it was just shredded chicken, no veggies, and too dry and salty. We would have asked more questions about it since there wasn't an ingredient label, but there was a bit of a language barrier. They are doing brisk business - I'm so happy for them. Delivery drivers going in and out the entire time we were there. Credit cards accepted. Restrooms are outside around the corner.

Best feijoada of bay. Sweet, yummy not heavy.

Incredible Brazilian handmade food. Dina and her husband the owners, always greeting the clients as family. Amazing location and place, easy parking.

The $2.50 for the 12pk guarana is for each can, not the 12 pack!! Idk if the label was misleading or I misread the price tag. (Facepalm)

I don't think anyone understands how excited I was from seeing the "coming soon" sign to actually being able to shop inside. Outside I looked calm, but inside I was literally crying tears of joy. Since coming back from Sao Paulo, I've been looking for Brazilian food. I did find a place, but I am NOT fond of the area and the staff is sketch in that shop. When I came here, I was greeted by I think one of the owners? Since I'm unable to stock up on Brazilian goods often, I don't give myself a budget. Brazilian food is usually pricey, but here everything was affordable!! Plus, there's even some food you can take for togo/dine in. Purchases: Guaraná 12pk @ $2.50/can NOT pack! Guaraná 1L farofa catupiry (add this to chicken pizza!) frozen coxinha & pao de queijo cookies dendê oil (a must for muqueca!) Batata palha (potato sticks) They even had frozen pastel dough! but they didn't have cuts of meat for feijoada. Hopefully, they will in the near future. It's not a big shop, but it's definitely one of my favorite places. I even appreciated the owner offering me some of their street foods (coxinha & cheese bread). Being in a Brazilian shop makes me feel like I'm back vacationing around in Sao Paulo. MUITO Obrigadaaaa!!!

Can't get more authentic than this. If you miss the flavor and warmth of the Brazilian people, this is the right place. DL is family owned and you're are always treated with a smile and positive vibes. DL is a little piece of Brazil in the silicon valley.

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! Since i've never been here before i was really surprised by their portion sizes. it was well worth the money spent and picking up was easy too. super nice guys who helped me. i was a bit confused on what kind of sauces they had. the person who helped me gave me a run down and explained their sauces. they also gave me some samples to try to take home as welll. by far i think id have to agree that their tin roof sauce is the best sauce my sister even wanted to know if she could just buy their bbq sauce. other then that we ordered roughly a good portion of bbq- pulled pork, cheddar cheese jalapeño sausage, burnt ends, brisket, chicken wings, and ribs. our sides were the cajun rice, green beans, cole slaw and corn succatash. would probably love to come back for their lunch special one of these days.
