Djay Slim READS THE ROOM and KNOWS THE HITS!!! He didn't need a bunch of tips or suggestions, and I didn't have any questions, comments or concerns!!! The dance floor at my party STAYED PACKED, and guests asked if he deejayed somewhere regularly so they could become regulars!!! THANK YOU, Djay Slim!!! THANK YOU!!!! read more

DJ Slim has been our family DJ for many years. I like that he 'reads' the room and knows how to keep guests entertained throughout the event. This weekend he DJ'ed for my 50th birthday party. It was epic! My guests can't stop giving compliments. The owner of the venue was blown away. Here are some direct words he said... - "That is the best party we have ever held in this venue and I have held thousands" - "Your DJ was amazing. He did not only DJ, he did much more, like playing the songs in between speeches and what he did with the toast. I learned some new things from him and I have been hosting for 20 years" - "Now I see why you wanted to bring your own DJ" read more

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. He brought great energy, read the room perfectly, and kept the dance floor full all night. Absolutely phenomenal!! He was my wedding DJ and tons of people came up to me to tell me how amazing the music was! He read the room and totally matched the vibe! He also did a perfect job for our ceremony songs. read more

The best DJ you can have at your party. He is honest, kind and delivers every single time. My daughter's 18th party was amazing. Sound system was on point. DJ slim brings it all together . He takes care of all age groups including the babies. We literally danced to " baby shark" and trust me all ages were rocking to that song. My teenagers we happy, the grandparents had their moments and my millennia crew were hitting that dance flow. The vibe was awesome all night long. Don't look any where else. This is your DJ period. Cost is great. DJ SLIM WILL DELIVER. HE WILL NOT DISSAPOINT. read more

DJ Sim was the best DJ I've ever experienced at an event. Super nice guy and knows how to keep a party going! Highly recommend.

I used Djayslim for my wedding a few weeks ago!! He was easy going and flexible to work with. Even with providing our song list later than anticipated he still made it work. The guests also really enjoyed him and said he was top notch! I would highly recommend him. He is the sweetest and very talented!! read more

All you can hope for in a good DJ is someone who will take your vision and make it even better. And let me tell you this, Djayslim did just that. He asked for 10 must play songs from us and we gave him quite a challenge (or so I thought) with a variety of genres but the mixes were absolutely perfect. He kept our wedding going from beginning to end. I had guests asking where his after party was . You can't go wrong with him! 10/10 recommend! read more

It's always such a pleasure working with DJ Slim. He is extremely professional, communicative, and an all-around good human. We booked him for an event this week and the team couldn't stop raving about the music. And even better, DJ Slim is a good friend and so, this review is even more precious if you ask me. Thank you for helping us at our Google event this week. I am looking forward to many more events in the future. read more

Absolutely amazing DJ!! We had the absolute pleasure of having Martin, aka DJ Slim, at our wedding reception! From the first time we spoke, he always assured me that he had our back and that there would never be anything to worry about. And he was so spot on about that. From the communication before our actual wedding to the day of, was always so spot on. Anytime I needed to give him a call, whether in the daytime or nighttime, he always made sure we were heard. I would recommend DJ Slim to any and all people looking to have the greatest time dancing or vibing out in any occasion! Thanks again Martin, you made our night very memorable! read more

The best. Super glad that we hired DJ Slim. He read the crowd perfectly; people were dancing and having a great time. We had guests from other countries and he pulled out music that made them feel welcomed and happy. Highly recommended!! read more

Dj Slim was the DJ for our wedding at Marine's memorial hotel in San Francisco. Very responsive to our inquiries. We had the dance floor company cancel last minute and he gave us recommendations for other companies in the area. He was set up and playing music atleast an hour before the start of the reception while our early arrival guests were trickling in. He had our guests, from different cultures, ages, ethnicities and, walks of life dancing and interacting on the dance floor. Music was great and he hyped people onto the dance floor. He even had some of my most shy single girlfriends on the dance floor to catch the boquet. It was a fun night. I wouldn't choose a different DJ if I was to do it over. read more

DJaySlim was the DJ for our wedding on Luxe Cruises. He was fantastic to work with, met with us to understand our asks/flow of the event and did a great job creating a fun and engaging experience for us and for our guests. He will be our first call for DJ services for a future event. read more

DJAY SLIM knows the vibes!!! I've seen him perform around the Bay Area at corporate events & at a few clubs/bars/lounges, each time he really knows how to work the crowd. I personally enjoy afrobeats and Slim plays a wide variety of popular/latest songs mixed with classics which always keeps me on my feet. If you're looking for a DJ for your next corporate or individual event, highly recommend him! read more

DJSlim is great to work with! His team sets up fast, covers the safety protocols (taping wires, etc), and store their equipment out of site. As a DJ, he is non stop with hits. The dance floor didn't slow down the entire time. He went through different genres to keep the party going. Highly recommend! read more

Djay Slim played at our wedding and went above and beyond. We felt like we were at our favorite club and our guests did too - as evidenced in the fact that many of them wanted to go out to his DJ sets the rest of that weekend! Djay Slim could read the energy and played the perfect mix of Afrobeats from the Ghanian side of our family, early 2000s hits for our friends, and your go-to classics for family. He is masterful at mixing and transitions and really got our crowd singing and dancing. DJay Slim was also able to do a compilation of a few different songs for our first dance, which turned out perfectly. Our venue even mentioned how impressed they were with him given most DJs there have trouble setting up and playing at multiple locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception). read more

The music at SAFFRONGALA was fantastic. It was the right balance of songs we requested/requests from guests on the night/music chosen by the DJ to keep the atmosphere lively. There wasn't a point that a music change interrupted the flow. He kept the dance floor filled and was a lovely guy too! read more

Man ohh man!!!!! I have been to a party since after the lockdown. DJ Slim was IN CHARGE for my friend's/sister's wedding and OH MY GOD!!!!! It was the best parties that I've ever been so far. DJ Slim was hitting the right spot with the right music at the right time. We had so much fun!!!!! Like we told him he is on for all of our upcoming parties. Respect man read more

Dj.Slim is legit and the far best DJ ever!! We had attended several of his events prior to approaching him to spin at our wedding. He was also recommended to us by a close friend he had spun at their wedding. He took the time to talk to us to understand who we are, our story and what type of music we like and enjoy. Oh, and what our family and friends would enjoy as well. He understands multicultural (African, Kenyan, American) music, something that sets him apart from others in the industry. And we therefore let him go nuts and play whatever he wished since he understood my Kenyan background as well as my husband's American background. We had the fog machine option, and we felt like we were dancing on clouds literally! It was majical. He was also very patient with the little ones who insisted on helping him and was very accomodating to a spontaneous request that was made for a special Maasai dance. At the end of the night, no one had their shoes on! Definitely recommend and much respect. Thanks DJ.Slim! read more

I have known Slim for a few years now and when i got engaged the only DJ i knew that i wanted to be a part of my wedding was him. I reached out and obviously he would check his calendar and let me know. His communication was superb. He actually took a moment out to reach out to my fiancé, because he never knew him just for him to introduce himself. I was completely taken back by that. I let him know what we were looking for and he blew it out of the water. My wedding was hit; the only time ppl sat down was during speech's . Martin, thank you so much- Asa and i could not be happier by the presence your brought to our special day read more

This dj will keep you entertained and will make you lose a few pounds with the music and laughing too much. True story!

We hired DJAY Slim for our wedding for our wedding this past October. We had originally planned to have the wedding back in 2020 however given the pandemic it was obviously delayed. Nonethless he was soo accomodating with his schedule. He's great with communication and was in close loop communication with our wedding coordinator the whole time. He even managed to link us with a a guy with lights the week of the wedding which made our special day all the more magical. On the actual day of the wedding he BROUGHT OUR SPECIAL DAY TO LIFE!!! He did such an incredible job of blending my husband and I's cultures (west african, American pop/R&B, Indian) - which is quite the accomplishment!!! All of our guests couldnt stop complimenting us on the music at our event. Several even asked for his contact info after. One friend even joked "looks like i need to make up an event just to have an excuse to hire DJAY Slim!" All in all - 5/5 HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! He's incredibly professional, communicative, timely and incredibly skilled at his job!!!! read more

DJ Slim knows how to keep guests on the dance floor. I've worked with him in all kinds of events (birthdays, school events, weddings, etc.). He has such a large range of music and really knows how to read a crowd. For events such as weddings that require a real professional, Slim knows how to read cues and fill silence so no moment is awkward and everything flows naturally. He's easy to work with and always arrives with a great attitude on the day of the event. read more

Where do I start about Djayslim? He was the dj at our wedding and the experience was nothing short of perfection. He took the time to understand us as a couple and our music preferences. Additionally, he took the time to understand the make up of our guests, where they were from and what their music preferences were too. With all of that information in hand, he played music that catered to everyone and kept the party going all night. The dance floor was always packed! We are definitely using him for future events. read more

Absolutely amazing! DJ Slim knew how to read the room and tell what songs kept everyone dancing at our wedding reception. He took the songs we requested and added to the list that helped accentuate what we had already given. We were so blown away by how talented his mixing skills were we know we could not have gotten a better DJ. There really isn't a better DJ in the bay area than Slim! read more

We hired Djay Slim based on the recommendation of my sister in law who saw him DJ on a yacht party and we're so happy we did. He DJed for our small wedding of ~50 guests. I was worried our dance floor would feel thin because we had a small guest count, but DJay Slim kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. In addition to his skill as an entertainer and DJ, Martin was a lovely person to work with on a very stressful (rainy) wedding day. He was gracious, humble and genuinely excited to be a part of our wedding. To us, it felt like we had another friend celebrating our wedding day and I couldn't recommend him enough. If you're looking for a DJ who'll be as stoked to party with you on your wedding day, he's your guy! read more

Djayslim is Extremely professional, he brings extreme positive energy to the crowd and extremely inclusive. What I loved about the last event we did was we were going through a tough loss of a friend and he managed to please the crowd. We had people who had joined in from various parts of the world and I mean he played different genres. This catered to the young and old. Looking for oldskool he gotcha looking for newsckool... he gotcha. Not gonna lie he was the best thing that happened during that event we were supposed to go for 4 hours ended up going for 8 hours session. Trust me it was nonstop!!!! Love you DjSlim!!! read more

Superb DJ services. Dj Slim was my wedding DJ and he went above and beyond to ensure the music was everything I wanted. Weddings are joyous and music is a reflection of that joy and he did not disappoint with the choices. He worked with my now husband to capture our vision and he did not disappoint. Our guests had a fantastic time and so did we. It was a joyous event and I 100% recommend Dj Slim. read more

Wow it was great working with DJAYSLIM. My husband and I hired him to dj at our anniversary party and he did an excellent job. Which was not an easy task as we wanted a blend of African and Mexican music. He was also really professional, made sure to visit the venue in advance (despite it being further away) to make sure he had the proper equipment for the day of. He also was an easy communicator. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him for another event. read more

I was searching for a DJ for my wedding who would be able to cater to our culturally, demographically and age diverse guests travelling from West Africa, the Caribbean, the UK and across America to celebrate with us. Coming from a radio background myself, I was very hesitant about booking a DJ for our destination wedding who I had never heard play before. A friend recommended the services of DJay Slim. He scheduled a couple of video call meetings ahead of our booking which really put us at ease. We discussed our musical needs and it was clear he was well versed in our musical preferences, which was helpful as we could remove one of our many wedding tasks (creating a play list). As soon as we mentioned a song or genre we liked, DJay Slim effortlessly mentioned several artists and tracks we liked. Communication leading up to our wedding and after our wedding was excellent and as for the reception, the dance floor was ALWAYS packed. Everyone kept asking 'who's the DJ?' and even after our wedding the feedback continued to be 'the DJ was on fire', he set the tone and created the party vibes we wanted. DJay Slim made our wedding even more memorable with his outstanding services which included the provision of audio equipment. His rates are also very competitive. We are grateful for the professional, personable and musically creative service we received and will be sure to recommend this service and book DJay Slim for all our future events! read more

Blown away with not just his quality of work but his personality and friendliness. He was extremely punctual and met all of our timing cues.
