Dj Slim was the DJ for our wedding at Marine's memorial hotel in San Francisco. Very responsive to our inquiries. We had the dance floor company cancel last minute and he gave us recommendations for other companies in the area. He was set up and playing music atleast an hour before the start of the reception while our early arrival guests were trickling in. He had our guests, from different cultures, ages, ethnicities and, walks of life dancing and interacting on the dance floor. Music was great and he hyped people onto the dance floor. He even had some of my most shy single girlfriends on the dance floor to catch the boquet. It was a fun night. I wouldn't choose a different DJ if I was to do it over. read more

We felt like we were at our favorite club and our guests did too - as evidenced in the fact that many of them wanted to go out to his DJ sets the rest of that weekend! Djay Slim could read the energy and played the perfect mix of Afrobeats from the Ghanian side of our family, early 2000s hits for our friends, and your go-to classics for family. He is masterful at mixing and transitions and really got our crowd singing and dancing. We hired DJAY Slim for our wedding for our wedding this past October. We had originally planned to have the wedding back in 2020 however given the pandemic it was obviously delayed. Nonethless he was soo accomodating with his schedule. He's great with communication and was in close loop communication with our wedding coordinator the whole time. He even managed to link us with a a guy with lights the week of the wedding which made our special day all the more magical. On the actual day of the wedding he BROUGHT OUR SPECIAL DAY TO LIFE!!! He did such an incredible job of blending my husband and I's cultures (west african, American pop/R&B, Indian) - which is quite the accomplishment!!! Djayslim is Extremely professional, he brings extreme positive energy to the crowd and extremely inclusive. What I loved about the last event we did was we were going through a tough loss of a friend and he managed to please the crowd. We had people who had joined in from various parts of the world and I mean he played different genres. This catered to the young and old. Even with the tight turnaround of less than a month, Slim was able to provide a breakdown of fees, provide insight into event coordination with the hotel and available for ad-hoc meetings as needed. Specifically, he was very proactive in leading conversations with the venue, so that his set up would be seamless. This was especially helpful and appreciated given that the venue location was 4-5 hours away from his local radius. Most importantly, he was very attentive to the occasion requirements and making sure his song list was relevant.
