One of the best places for Persian/Mediterranean food restaurants that I tried. Service was excellent and very flavorful food choices. Ambiance is beautiful with there lights and there cultural decors. Definitely recommend and will go back to try more.

I tried this place out with a friend for lunch. It's very nicely decorated and quite a large space. We ordered 2 lunch dishes: beef kebab and okra stew. They were both good. However the amount of rice that is served seems excessive. My advice for them would be to bring out smaller portions of rice and then if customers need more, to bring out more when requested. The beef was tender and the accompanying tzatziki sauce was delicious. Okra stew was good but was swimming in oil which I know can be off putting to some, another girlfriend warned me about that. She said her lamb dish looked exactly the same. I'm just hoping it's healthy and assuming it's olive oil but not sure, I didn't ask. Service was prompt and they checked on us multiple times. I'd be up for trying it again.

Full disclosure, not yet a Persian food connoisseur. So take this rating with a grain of salt. This may be an outlier, may be not, but the meats which we were looking tremendously forward to were all overcooked. Dry, chewy. Now, maybe that is how Persian meats are cooked, so totally respect that. But for me, it was just too overcooked. The salad, soup, black tea, all delicious, without a doubt. The ambiance, vibe, restaurant, excellent. Service excellent. Very friendly, prompt, follow ups. Food for me was 2 stars, + star for the rest. Someone may correct me on thats just the way the meats are cooked traditionally and that is fine, but others should know that to have correct expectations going in.

It's Eid! The moment my family and friends of 10 walked in, we were promptly seated (we called earlier to put our name on the waitlist as they do not take reservations on Eid). The ambiance and the atmosphere was energetic but not super loud it was refreshing especially on a special holiday. It reminded me of home Our server, Carla, was exceptional! Friendly and patient despite the Eid rush of people coming in and also dealing with a large party like ours. (she deserves a raise!!) The food as you can see from the pix was exceptional too!! We ordered two family kabob platters which were served to us under 15 mins (which is really unheard of considering it is a special holiday and there are a lot of people here!) this goes to show they were prepared and planned accordingly so the staff, food, meat etc were ready for demand. ps: their lamb chops were mmmm yum! The Persian tea totally hit the spot after a long day of work, hints of cardamon and rose were very soothing. I loved that the tahini yogurt sauce and the salad and rice and the garlic paste was flavored really well, extremely well balanced. Also: if you're on Keto, this is an epic place to eat. Protein and salads here are #nomnomnom !!! Overall an exceptional experience! If I could give more stars I would. Note to management: please thank the kitchen staff and the servers for all their hard work! Everything was amazing. Thank you!

A memorable new Zabiha Halal Dining Experience Not just food, a full 5-star experience. That's how I'd describe DIYAR in Issaquah. Honestly, one of the best new additions to both the Iranian and halal food scene in the Pacific Northwest. The moment i entered, i felt this place was designed to create an experience, not just serve a meal. You walk into fish pond and garden-inspired entrance that immediately transports you elsewhere. Persian culture is embedded into every corner -- arches, colorful stained glass, mosaics, chandeliers, intricate wall designs... the touch of Iran is everywhere. I genuinely haven't seen another restaurant here that has gone this deep into cultural design and ambiance. Even the staff uniforms stood out, traditional embroidered coats that perfectly matched the atmosphere. And as soon as I seated, 20 month old got his own dining utensils and a lovely toy. beautifully thought! The restaurant itself is massive, with spacious seating, family booths, open gathering areas, and large private room designed for family events and parties. There's also a separate café section on the side, giving the entire place multiple different vibes under one roof. And then came the food. The Tahdig was easily one of the best I've had in a long time -- a unique variation, perfectly crisp on the outside while staying soft underneath. 5/5 On top of it, I ordered Ghormeh Sabzi -- essentially the national dish of Iran. Another 5/5 for me. The herbs and dried lemon were beautifully balanced, the texture was creamy and rich, and the beef had absorbed all those deep herbal aromas. The Mazze Sampler was also excellent. The Kashk-e Bademjan was buttery, slightly smoky, with gentle sweetness throughout -- incredibly comforting. Mast-o-Khiar was thick, rich, and refreshing. The hummus leaned more garlicky, which I personally enjoyed. The falafel was decent too, though definitely more Persian in style, I still personally prefer the Palestinian-style versions. And I completely forgot about the drinks. The traditional buttermilk drink, DOOGH, was incredibly refreshing and paired beautifully with the heavier kababs and rice dishes. I also tried the DIYAR Mojito. It was good, though a little lighter in flavor than I expected. Decent enough, but I'd probably explore some of their other drinks next time instead, not necessarily a must-order. Another surprise for me was the Shirin Polo. A beautiful saffron-infused Persian rice loaded with sweetness, nuts, and fruity flavors. It immediately reminded me of Zarda, the celebratory sweet rice dish famous in Bangladesh and Pakistan. It genuinely made me wonder, did Zarda originate from Persian cuisine? I would definitely order Shirin Polo again. And one thing I really appreciated was the generosity of the meal portions. The endless rice, fresh bread, stews, kababs, sides -- everything together felt less like a restaurant dinner and more like a feast or festival gathering. But obviously, the centerpiece of any Persian meal is the kabab. I tried four: * Beef Koobideh * Chicken Joojeh Kabob * Beef Shish Kabob * Barg (beef tenderloin kabob) The Chicken Joojeh and Beef Shish Kabob both scored full points from me -- super juicy, tender, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The Koobideh was excellent too (4.5/5). The Barg used very high-quality meat, though I personally wished for just a little more buttery richness and flavor depth (4/5). I also tried Gheimeh Bademjan -- a tomato-based split pea stew with beef and fried eggplant. Hands down another standout dish. Deeply comforting, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Soo goood .... DIYAR was founded by the family behind Kabob Korner and Bella Balducci, and with this restaurant, they've elevated themselves into something much bigger. They're bringing a truly immersive Persian dining experience to the Pacific Northwest. I genuinely loved this place. And of course, no Persian meal ends without tea and dessert. I tried the baklava and the Persian date-filled cookie. Both were good and enjoyable, though I wouldn't necessarily call them must-tries compared to the rest of the menu. I just checked their rating 4.9/5 -- well deserved Location: 4592 Klahanie Dr. SE, Issaquah, WA 98029

We've been here 4 times now and still love it just as much. They've already added a lunch menu, have daily specials on offer, and the Chef has even asked for our input on our experience to get feedback. They're doing wonderfully delicious things here and the service, quality, and flavor has made them a quick dinner solution so close to home. It's such a beautiful space, I love the colorful booths every time we are seated.

I love having this restaurant in the neighborhood -it's within walking distance, which makes it even more special! From the moment we walked in, the ambience was beautiful, serene, and yet festive! It's such a cozy place, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the owner/chef went around to each table to check on the meals and make sure everyone was satisfied. That Personal touch made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant also had large rooms available for private parties, making it a wonderful option for celebrations and gatherings. We ordered two dishes.-the chicken specialty platter and the beef Koobideh-and, oh my goodness, the portions were huge and tasty! We definitely had enough leftovers to enjoy throughout the week. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The baklava and tea were the perfect way to wrap up our wonderful dinner. With plenty of parking, a clean environment, and such a great ambience, this restaurant has quickly become one of my favorites. You'll find me walking to this restaurant often. Bon appétit!

It's my first time trying Persian foods. I came in not knowing what to expect. The interior is bright and vibrant with cultured decorative designs. The 2 meat platters ordered were plenty for 5 ppl with 2 large plates of rice. The meats were all flavored, seasoned well and very nicely presented. Lamb was not my favorite but the beef and chicken were juicy and tender. The hummus was so creamy and smooth that I can just that for a meal. The naan bread was fresh and hot, perfectly paired with the hummus. The staffs were all very friendly.

Vaziri- beef koobideh and chicken kabab

I've been to many Persian restaurants in my life and Diyar stands up to the best. The kabab koobideh is perfectly cooked, the doogh is better than many other I've tried and my family considers the French fries better than most burger restaurants we've been to. The ghormeh sabzi served with the tahdig was delicious as well. I saw another review complaining about the tahdig-- I think it would be better received if it was called Tahchin (which is what it seems to be, the bottom of the bottom rice cooked with yogurt and egg). It's different than other tahdig's I've tried and I will say I do prefer the traditional crispy-rice only tahdig to the denser, softer tahchin. The service and ambiance has been very welcoming each time we've been. I would definitely recommend it to friends (and have been!) and would go again. My kids rank it as one of their favorite restaurants. It's such a blessing to finally have great Persian food closer to the Snoqualmie Valley and Issaquah!

While vacationing in Seattle We found an unexpected hidden gem. A beautifully designed large spaced Restaurant. It was traditionally designed with beautiful artifacts that put a smile on your face. It is clean and the services was excellent caring to your needs before you ask for it. They wore lovely traditional attire and a bigger smile. Even the owner came over checking on us. The food!!! Superb. Best Persian food I ever had. One of the food we ordered that really stood out was the Gorma Sabzy was the best I ever had. I come from OC which is full of top notch Persian food but Diyar was in a class of it's own. The authentic flavors and freshness ruined it for all other Persian Restaurants. I am sad that it is in a different state but will definitely recommend it and will go again and again.

Barg Soltani
Azzaam K.

Amazing food and service! I will say it is a bit pricey and gives a more "fancy" restaurant feel but the quality of the food was pretty good. I got the Barg Soltani and the beef koobideh was better than the Soltani. So I'd probably just get the beef koobideh next time or try something else. Service was great and fast. Super busy! Great addition in Issaquah.

Chocolate cake, and pistachio ice cream.

We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was so good! We enjoyed the dishes of kebab and mixed yoghurt sampler. Great atmosphere with Persian traditional decorations. We were greeted by the staff and the owner offered a complementary Dubai chocolate cake and amazing saffron pistachio ice cream. Keep up the great work and we will be there again!!

Excellent Persian food. We had a large group and everybody loved their food. I tried the salad shirazi, Misra ghasemi, kabob (barg, joojeh, and koobideh), fries, and a sekanjebin drink. Everything was great. The joojeh was moist, the barg tender, the koobideh juicy. The rice perfectly fluffy and buttery. The service was impeccable. The decor chic. My son loved the fountain with the goldfish in it. Prices were more than reasonable. I will definitely be back.

The pitas may have been the best I've ever had - when you walk in, you can see the balls of dough resting by the oven, and they are so fresh when they come to the table that they're still fully inflated. Even the drinks are incredible- the kids ordered pineapple juice that tasted so fresh and even had pulp, and my husband ordered mint lemonade that was made with fresh ground mint and was so incredibly refreshing. I don't think there's a bad order here but be aware that the portions are huge. The prices are quite high - much more than we had expected when we walked in - but the quality absolutely matched the price so we didn't even mind. The decor is lovely, with lots of attention to detail, and huge windows with light streaming in. Finally, the service was fast and friendly. Our waitress knew the menu backwards and forwards and knew a lot about how the different items are made and what combinations taste good. So good. We'll be coming back!
