I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from All My Sons Moving & Storage during…read moreour recent local move in Birmingham, AL. From the beginning, we were given very clear expectations: one full day for packing, one full day for moving and setup, and a team of five experienced, professional movers. Unfortunately, almost none of these promises were honored. On packing day, five crew members arrived, but one was completely unproductive and left within an hour, stating it was his last day. The remaining crew failed to inform us that we were only allotted five hours to pack a fully furnished five-bedroom home--an unrealistic and unacceptable limitation. As a result, only about 50% of the packing was completed, with the remainder pushed to the next day. The following day was even more chaotic. Due to miscommunication from their office, the crew went back to the old house instead of continuing work at the new one. To make matters worse, one crew member showed up intoxicated, forcing my husband to personally drive him back to the office. This left us short-staffed and further delayed. Throughout the day, a new supervisor repeatedly warned us that they would have to leave by 5 PM due to "hour limitations," despite the incomplete work. We ended up packing much of the kitchen and bedroom items ourselves just to keep things moving. At the new house, the situation deteriorated further. The supervisor and another crew member left without informing us, abandoning the job mid-process. If not for two crew members, Conor and AJ--who, despite being exhausted, worked hard and showed professionalism--we would have been completely stranded. Additionally, our hardwood vintage bedframe was broken during the move. There are several scratches on the floor in the new house, we are missing several of our expensive shoes. We are still in the process of unpacking, not sure what else we might discover. It has now been over a week, and we have yet to hear from the claims department, despite expecting follow-up. Overall, this was a deeply frustrating and stressful experience, marked by poor communication, lack of professionalism, and failure to deliver on basic commitments. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Joshua specifically has earned Public Storage their single star. If I could review him personally it would be 100 stars. Unfortunately, the problems start well above them and have gone unresolved for far too long. Despite repeated assurances, I have yet to hear from the regional manager regarding months of ongoing billing issues. I am paying a premium for climate-controlled units, but the climate control does not work -- creating serious concerns for the items I store. The app that is supposed to control gate access does not work and is not even connected to all the gates. Parking enforcement is non-existent, with people frequently blocking others in. There are no garbage cans onsite, so tenants leave trash scattered around the property without a place to throw it away. The design and layout of the facility is the best in Omaha, but it is being mismanaged and allowed to fall into disrepair. Worse, instead of rewarding long-term customers, rates are constantly raised above the prices offered to new tenants. I currently rent about 1,100 square feet of storage and am paying close to $1,000/month -- significantly more than when I started. Their increases have now made it a better value for me to rent a commercial building then to continue to rent storage units from Public Storage. I was asked to leave a review as part of my check out, and I am happy to -- but that request should come with a willingness to address these very real concerns. Until upper management becomes responsive and accountable, I cannot recommend Public Storage to anyone looking for reliable, professionally managed storage in Omaha.

I originally rented a 10x15 unit at this location online in October 2023 for $83/month plus $15 for…read moremandatory insurance. The unit was clean and I never missed a payment -- I was on autopay with no issues. Less than a year later, I received notice that my rent was being raised to $206/month -- more than double my original rate. At the same time, Public Storage is advertising larger units (11x20) on their own website at $120/month. The same size as mine is currently listed between $76 and $120 depending on promotion. When I called to dispute the increase, the property manager admitted this is a corporate practice and said he doesn't like it either. He offered to knock off about $50 -- but that still left the total well above their advertised pricing and my original rate. I declined. I've since filed a formal complaint with the Nebraska Attorney General, and I'm also keeping my Google and BBB reviews public to help others understand how this business operates. Rent increases are legal -- but when they're hidden behind vague terms and not aligned with publicly advertised rates, it becomes unethical at best. Unless they change their practices, I strongly suggest reading reviews before renting here -- and filing a complaint if this happens to you.
