When I made a POLICE REPORT, they mentioned that storage is notorious for being broken into. He forgot to mention that as well or I would have went somewhere else. I had 2 locks on my unit and he told me they recommend not doing that or someone may think there is something valuable in there. DUH IDIOT. Then he tells me this AFTER I got ripped off. He calls me 1/2 hour before close and tells me my locks are gone. I said I'm on my way and I got there at 10 minutes to 5 and he was already closed to avoid me. (They close the office at 5) Another lady who pulled in when I was loading up what remained of my belongings, she said she also got the same call at the same time. I called the manager to try and get a refund and they told me they would have the owner call me. Still waiting for that call. This really hurt me because one item was a rare tube amplifier I will never be able to replace. Im guessing there is a crew of theifs that live behind in Twin City and they make regular rounds through here. One would think they would beef up security and actually have cameras covering all the units but anybody can come from behind, climb the fence and spend hours there and nobody would know except the victim the next day. Im still sick about this. They will now re-rent my unit to the next unsuspecting, mislead person. I cant believe they are taking peoples money. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST AND SPREAD THE WORD. Apparently it only applies if you begin on the 1st day of the month. It's a total scam! A free month means the 1st 30 days! The building is beautiful and old with lots of history. There were some neat old features that you don't see much anymore, and all in pristine condition. Almost half of the items in my storage unit were destroyed by mice. I found dead mice in my unit when I moved out and even had a live one run out of there! They also raised the rent on my unit multiple times. When I tried contacting the business to let them know I was moving my things out it took 3 emails, as they wanted it in writing, and almost 2 weeks before I heard from them. I have tried calling to let them know I no longer needed the storage unit but never received a call back. Don't try to leave a review on their website. They only post the positive reviews. I would not recommend an outside storage unit to anyone needing one and good luck getting in contact with anyone once you don't need it anymore.

Regularly I get other people's mail in my box, which makes me wonder how much of mine I never get because it went into someone else's box. I have had packages that they sat on for a month because they never put a notice in my box to alert me that I hadone behind the counter and have had packages that tracking shows they were delivered but owner could never find and all he would do is shrug his shoulders and say "I don't know." Never an apology or anything. Have always paid for 6 months at a time for box rental and suddenly this last time with no warning it was increased to a full year. Unlikely that I will renew when the time comes and I have been renting a box here for nearly 30 years.
