I cannot say enough about this company. We were hard pressed and bound to tight timelines regarding transitioning my mother's belongings to assisted living. Because my siblings and I live on opposite coasts, we had one good day to move. Brad was accommodating. Alan and Patrick showed up right on time and wasted zero time as the worked. They were polite, considerate and careful. Obviously, these guys have been doing this a while as they were able to navigate large piece of furniture around stairways and right corners, seemingly with easy. They were flexible with last minute changes that happens. I was going to move in to a studio apartment but the place gave my apartment away so I found a new apartment. They moved most of my stuff. They didn't ask where i wanted anything to be placed. They didn't put my bed back together. I am a small girl and I would like to think I can do those kind of things but I got hurt trying to do it myself. I would have asked them to do it but when they decided that they were done they were quick to leave. The first day that I called them i told them that I wanted them to pack everything. Ever time after that they would call and ask what I wanted. Then they called and asked how many boxes I would need and if I would need packing bubbles. I stated that I didn't know because I don't know what that is used for. Then they bought some and didn't use it. I told them all the items that they would need to move. They were a little rough when I asked them if they could put my dresser in the closet. They took off some of the paint on the door frame. While moving they asked if I had read any of their reviews and how they had 5 stars on the Internet and everywhere. Well after looking on Yelp they only had two reviews. read more

I called to get a consultation on the cost of the move including the packing. The owner came to my house to do the inventory. I called earlier in the week before my move to make sure everything was in order and they said they had everything they needed. The owner called me the day before I was to be packed to tell me he had no inventory of my house and had no idea how many boxes I would need. I reminded him that he was at my house when we scheduled the move and he remembered, then proceded to take my inventory over the phone and had me guess how many boxes I would need. I said probably around 50 (I had no idea, honestly. This was why I asked him to come and take a look ahead of time). Packing Day: I asked what time to expect the packers and they said noon. the packers didn't arrive until 2 pm due to another move they were completing. They did call to alert me they were running late. They sent 2 packers and one left early. They only brought 20 boxes and ran out. Once they ran out, the packer decided they could do what was left the next day (the day of the move). Moving Day: I was told they would send 4 movers and they would start at 9 AM. They didn't show up until after 10 AM and sent only 3 movers. One went home early and that left 2 movers. They ran out of boxes several times and had to wait for more. To be fair, they did not try to charge for the wait time. They movers seemed very inexperienced with both the packing and the moving. One kept yelling at the others that they needed to be more careful. I didn't think much of that at the time. The move took a lot longer than expected and we finished moving the last peice around 9 pm. During the day, I had to handle several other deliveries at the new house as well as checking back with the movers. I was on my way back and was told they were basically done at the old house and they were ready to pick up a few items from the 2nd house. I met them there and we finished up that portion of the move. By then one mover had gone home. The movers told me there were a few items they hadn't moved, but that they were small. I decided it was best that I just grab them the next day since it shouldn't take me over an hour to finish clearing out the house. After the move (same evening): After we got everything to the new house, I went back to the old house to lock up and turn out lights. I walked in and noticed several items still in the living room. Lamps, etc. Then I walked down the hall and looked in the office and a huge desk was still there. I had repeatedly told them that had to be out of the house (even if it was just to the curb). I got to the master bathroom to find that absolutely nothing had been packed or moved from in there. There were also lots of other things left behind. They left almost a truckful of items behind. After getting back from the house, we noticed that the bed we had moved was not reassembled and the screws were left in the slats. 2 were missing. This is a new bed. We also had some sheets and clothing wrapped up to be brought to the new house and when it got there, we were missing the top sheet and some items of clothing. The next day: We had to get another truck to finish the move. It took the whole day to finish moving the items we needed to pack and move on our own and clear the house out. As I was cleaning up, I noticed a bucket with glass in it. I looked in to see what it might have been and realized it was glass from the chandellier in the dining room. I went to investigate and found that the movers covered up the fact that they smashed into it and broke it. they had found other glass pieces and balanced them on the lights to make it look like it wasn't broken. These peices did not match nor did they fit on there. From there I noticed a drawer in the bathroom that had the trim broken off and it was put back on carefully so I wouldn't notice it right away. They also broke a light switch plate near the door. Nobody told me about any damage they may have done to the house I was moving out of. I had to pay for the chandellier. Days after the move: As we were getting settled in and started unpacking, We started noticing damage. My piano was basically ruined in the move. The stand was broken and the piano lid was scraped and the lip was torn off mostly. I will have to replace this piano. We noticed that 3 out of 4 of the bed posts had paint and big dings on it from the move. I found packing tape packed in boxes. Dishes were not wrapped properly. We are still in process of unpacking and at this time there seems to be a couple more items missing that should have been in boxes I have already unpacked. read more

I would have to give zero stars if that were possible. This mover never showed up for the move. I called, I emailed, and finally reached the manager at 5 pm the day of the move. He seemed confused, said one of his movers had gone somewhere else, "but he was a good guy." Then he said they'd be there with the packing materials, then said "Is that move today?" Please do not schedule this moving company unless it doesn't matter when or if they ever show up. Totally unreliable. read more

These guys did a great job for me. I came from out of state with a uhaul already full and needed my truck unloaded in Omaha. The owner returned my message on Labor Day and offered a great deal of flexibility. We kept in touch on the day of the move and they were able to give me a window of time so that I wouldn't be rushed with the travel. I arrived in one of the hottest days of the summer and the movers worked extremely hard without complaining about the intense heat. DO NOT USE QUICK n CAREFUL MOVERS - WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING!!! I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Quick n Careful Movers. Prior to my move, I spoke to Brad multiple times about my family's specific needs including a detailed inventory list of the items to be moved. He quoted me one truck, two men (he or Scott would be on site to offer help as needed) and 4-5 hours to move a three bedroom, 2100 square foot house for $390. True to his word from one of the previous conversations, they were roughly 60% cheaper than the other movers that I considered. If I didn't have a personal reference from a co-worker, I would have thought this was too good to be true. Well, it was. On the day of the move, three men and a truck showed up at my house. I immediately noticed that was one more individual then what I was quoted but I thought I would benefit from it with a quicker move. The guy in charge and I walked through the entire house discussing what was to be moved etc. He did not express any concerns at what he saw and had no questions for me so the three of them got to work. After a couple hours, the truck was almost full and the same guy let me know that my inventory was not going to fit in one truck - they would have to make another trip. It was during that time that Brad made his first appearance at my house. I let him know the situation and he let me know that the guys would take care of me. After unloading the first load, they were back at it at the old house. It wasn't long when I heard the same story - it's not all going to fit in the truck and there is going to be another trip needed. It took three trips and 10 hours to move my family that day. Not even close to what was quoted by Brad. At one point, the guy in charge showed me an email that he had received from Brad with the inventory list for our move - it wasn't even close. Brad had left out multiple items. In addition, during the move (unloading the second load at our new house), Scott showed up on the scene. He introduced himself to me and then immediately went directly to the guy in charge of my move. Scott created a very awkward moment as he began to handle an employee issue right in front of me, my family and the other movers. He apologized to the individual for how he handled an earlier situation and mentioned that he didn't want this guy to leave - all while using profanity. Very unprofessional Scott. After Scott left, the guy in charge acknowledged the awkward situation and explained to me that he and two other guys were actually leaving the company because of how Brad and Scott ran things and how they treated the workers. They were starting their own moving company and their first job was the following day. He mentioned that he would have left earlier but he wanted to finish my job. Interesting insight. At the end of the day, I talked to Brad to settle up. He let me know that they had other jobs scheduled for that day but luckily, one job in Lincoln was able to reschedule - as if this was somehow my fault. He then proceeded to let me know that he was going to stick me with a bill of $1400 - oh, and that he appreciated my business. During the move, I was told by the movers that Brad had been screwing up scheduling and my experience was no different. In the end, "Quick and Careful" movers broke a ceiling fan, thoroughly banged up a corner of a basement wall from top to bottom, scratched up a television, failed to reassemble a china hutch and left multiple items at the old house. My family and I spent four hours the next morning finishing the move. Based on my experience, I would recommend that you use true professionals for your next move. Stay away from these guys - they will tell you that they only want to make sure you are happy and that they appreciate your business but in reality, they are nothing short of unprofessional and only out for themselves - wolves in sheep's clothing. I pray that nobody else would have to go through what me and my family went through with this company. Brad, I am NOT happy at all and I will do everything within my power to make sure that you do not get anybody else's business! You are a joke. read more

I was very impressed with Quick and Careful Movers. The company followed up with me the day before my move and showed up on time the day of the move. The movers worked very fast and treated my stuff with great care. I had some very heavy items and they moved them with ease. They unloaded my stuff very quickly and placed everything where it was suppose to be. The owner even came to assist with the unloading.
