I'll start with the movers were excellent. preformed work in timely manner, were careful with furniture, and polite. However, be aware that Jason King asked for a $100.00 deposit prior to making reservation for move. When movers completed work and gave itemized list of charges they did not include the deposit as a credit. I have called, emailed and texted Jason but no response, so I guess I'm out the 100 bucks. BE AWARE!! UPDATE: Soon after posting review Jason reached out and apologized for not addressing the issue in a timely fashion. I was reimbursed the deposit. I will leave the rating at 3 Stars, because you shouldn't have to complain on social media to get action. read more

As a military member, I've moved more than the average person. King Moving was our choice to move within the local Omaha area as we decided to buy and put down roots. Getting in touch with the team was a challenge, as the people you call are the same people working. So, expect to get voicemail and returned calls late. We had enough time, so delays were not a problem. Packing was efficient and effective. They worked quickly, had everything they needed, and nothing was missing or broken. Loading and unloading involved seasoned workers who knew what they were doing. They loaded and unloaded the same day, which was tough for the size of our house. They misjudged what their trucks could hold and brought a third. No damage to either house or to our things, which is rare. Also, the team was trustworthy. They did not take anything for themselves. The cost estimate was significantly off. The move cost twice what we expected. We did ask them to pack more than we told them at the quote. But, the sticker-shock was palpable. It cost several thousand more than quoted. But, they didn't damage anything as we moved from one 100 yr old house to another. 3.75 stars. Degrades due to cost. read more

Kings was absolutely fantastic. I use moving companies a few times a year. This was my first time Using Kings and going forward will now always be my first choice always. The equipment and supplies they had on the truck were far better and much more plentiful than some of the others I have used. While the rates were identical. The two guys they sent were very professional and worked it very hard and made sure to take extra care. We had a few stops and I changed the route right at the start but it was no problem to them. Not really a review of thier work, but of the customer service. I had hoped to use them to move my piano, and was in the process of coordinating the move with both locations. Once I had that settled, I attempted to call Jason 3 times - each time leaving a message. My calls were never returned, until after my final message saying I was cancelling the move due to no response from them. When Jason did return my call on Monday (the move was tentatively scheduled for Tuesday) it was merely to acknowledge that I was cancelling the move. And he made no effort to retain my business. I am usually not one to take my time to review anything but it this case I need to share my experience with you about King's Moving located in Omaha. I have a couple times in my life and I have hired both national companies and local movers to do Handel it. My past experience has been both very good to pulling my hair out asking myself, why did we hire this company. They are clueless! I looked around and called 3 local companies. With in 2 min I revived a call back from Jason the owner of Kings Moving and I explained my needs and schedule. I called him on a Thursday and on Monday they were there with their truck ready to get to work. Their staff was very professional and easy to work with. They wasted no time during the move but most of all I had a great felling of trust with my things and that was most important for my Wife. I guess here's the bottom line. Tyler came out to review what my Dad needs moved to the West coast from Bellevue on August 10th. I was assured of a quote in 24 hours. I had to keep calling and emailing Jason till I finally received a email 6 days later....no detailed outline just a price. They bate & switched on the original insurance coverage that Jason told me on the initial call. Then we had another phone call inwhich I asked for more detail not just a dollar amount and we had potentially planned for a move over labor day weekend. Being the owner this should have been a quick note from Jason but that took another 2 weeks and kaboshed the labor day move!! This company obviously does not have experience in cross country moves by the delays on answers to pertinent questions. I think they just come out and "case the joint" from the experience I have had. I would not trust this company to move a house plant let alone expensive antiques. No straight answers, nothing in writing but a dollar amount??? Shady operation! I hired Kings moving about a year ago to move a whole house to another house & storage sheds. not cheap. The owner and one of the managers (Tyler) really had it together about what to do, and were quite professional. The downside was 4 guys that ( not professional movers), appeared to be day laborers, or temps at best, but not employees holding the same standards for honesty and care as the owner & manager/organizer. I couldn't watch every one of them all the time, while they handled everything I owned, including irreplaceable family heirlooms, and items of collector or vintage value. Some antiques were scratched or dinged, but my Stereo and a full length mink coat came up missing, and were never retrieved from the move. I reported it to Tyler, who was not present all during the move. He said they were not responsible for missing, damaged or stolen items, So I had to suck up the missing and damaged items. When we got to the destination, my refrigerator was moved into the kitchen and Tyler hooked up the cooper pipe for the water line to the refrigerator. I greatly appreciated that extra touch, he was very sharp & professional. As for the rest of the crew, If your not watching everything they handle, all the time, things disappeared. read more

I can't say enough good about Kings Moving. My mother has had to move from her home to an assisted living facility. The first move was to a high-skilled area with a small space for her things. They moved her belongings quickly and helped me arrange her very small room! Happily, Mom improved to the point where she could move to a less-skilled area in the same facility. She has a nice apartment now, and the rest of Mom's favorite things could now be moved to her new place. My first call was to Kings Moving. They were so helpful and careful with her things. They even helped us arrange the furniture so it would be easier with wheelchair access. Their care, skill and kindness is amazing. read more

They were chosen to deliver some cabinets for us by Menards in August 2018. When they came to our house, they ran into our brand new camper slide, which are fairly delicate parts of the camper, causing some damage to the flange. The only reason I knew they hit the camper was because I saw it happen. After getting the the owner's number, the driver and assistant did not even apologize for running into the camper. They delivered broken cabinets and left. I tried to get ahold of the owner, Jason, but he did not answer. Instead I received a text that he would get back to me later that day. He never called me back over the next couple of days even after numerous promises to call me back over text. After a couple of days of trying and threatening to complain to the BBB, he finally called us back, of which one of the conversations he was extremely rude. He even asked why he should apologize for running into my property and mysteriously got disconnected during. We finally got him to push the problem to his insurance, which was over a week after the accident and after threatening to file a complaint with the BBB. They took their sweet time to get in contacting with us, which we had to call them numerous times to finally talk to them and get the number of the adjuster. The adjuster was good to work with though but even she could not get ahold of the driver or owner to get their stories. All she had to go on was what I saw and told her. After 1 1/2 months of dealing with King's Moving and his insurance company, we finally got our camper taken care of with the damage repaired, which was rather minor, and slide inspected. His customer service is very poor and his dealing with damages is horrible. If he would have been easier to deal with and actually apologized for damaging our brand new camper, all would have been well and would have gone about our merry way. Good luck with getting any damages taken care of if you work with them, and godforbid you have to try actually talk to the owner. read more
