I drive for Door Dash and I have picked up a lot of late night good from Dixie queen before but I havent eaten there in a long time! Stopped & got some burgers, fries and a fish sandwich tonight. All to die for! Service was awesome. Drive thru worker was friendly, told me about his 2 kids when I asked him if he was being safe during this virus scare. The lady who took my order was not friendly or welcoming at all, no smiles, played on her phone, acted like a inconvenience when I asked her for some mayonnaise packs, condiments tray was out and almost out of ketchup, maybe fill up the condiments instead of playing on the phone, food itself is worth the extra wait as it is cooked to order, would have gave more stars, but customer service itself helps make a business!!! read more

First time at Dixie Queen while visiting family in Memphis. Absolutely loved everything I ordered, luckily we had a large group and everyone ordered something different so I got to try a lot of different items on the menu. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with everything on it. The burger was so good! The burger was seasoned very good, all of the toppings were fresh and tasted like a cookout burger from home. I tried the fried fish, it was amazing!!! They are good size pieces of fish, the batter on the fish is perfect, not too salty and the fish was fresh and hot. The tarter sauce for the fish is different but I really liked and probably used all of it. I am not a huge wing fan especially when the wings are saucy but I was advised to try the wings. We had the honey gold wings............ AMAZING I have never had a flavor of wings like that before. It was like a honey mustard/Bbq flavor with a dry seasoning sprinkled over the sauce. I could literally eat the sauce alone. I was only in Memphis for the weekend and I ate here 2 times and specifically for the fish and the wings. Dixie Queen has to come to NC or I will be visiting Memphis more often lol. read more

Nice staff, but looonnngg wait (went inside after a lady cut me off at the drive thru after I'd been waiting 3 mins ). Need more workers. One girl's job just appeared to be just making shakes, so as I stood around waiting, I watched her clean the counter. One cashier, one guy on fries, one on the grill. Took exactly 20 mins AFTER I placed my order. The wait to order was about 5 mins. Then, they didn't have my shake ready and tried to short me a fry. I had three combos - should have three fries. Didn't seem like anyone was in a hurry, so they shouldn't have missed it. I'm not sure any burger could be good enough to make up for that wait. Holy Cow! read more

The wait time is ridiculous. There should be enough employees to handle the demand. I'm currently in the drive thru and I have been here for 30 mins and the line is wrapped around the parking lot and still hasn't moved. The inside is full also....very poor customer service read more

During the coronavirus pandemic, workers aren't wearing gloves and are playing in the restaurant. I definitely did not eat here. I was riding with someone else and encouraged them to not eat here as well. read more

I've heard good things about this place so I decided to try it. Well my wife wanted a dip cone but they were out. I got an Oreo humdinger but after taking my payment they say that the ice cream machine is broken. I take a slush instead and the ice is floating in the cup. The burger was ok but the toppings were wrong on both. Go to Freddy's and get the same quality or better food and better customer service. I could also go to Five Guys and get better food and great customer service. Now I can at least steer people away from ever trying here when asked about this place. Would not recommend wasting your time here. read more

Review In Commercial Appeal newspaper Sunday, April 25 edition was a great article about Dixie Queen on Germantowm Parkway but the attached picture had two food handlers pictured with masks below noses. Incredibly long wait, unreal! Expect an hour at the drive thru even if only 4-5 cars. If the line is long, expect two hours. And check your order before you leave. It's rarely correct. Food is really good but the management situation here seems 911 level. They won't stay in business if they don't fix it. Sad because it's a cute store and good food but the service is unacceptable. read more

If zero stars were an option, I would've chosen that. I have been to this location twice and both times it has been a train wreck. The first trip I spent 30 min in the drive thru with only 4 cars in front of me.. the second time was this evening. After placing my drive thru order, I got to the window and waited a solid 3 minutes before an employee acknowledged my presence. As I pulled off with my food, I checked my order. I was missing a burger and onion rings. I took my receipt and bag into the store where it then took at least 4 employees to figure out how to replace my missing items. I then got home with my food to realize two of my burgers were not dressed as I ordered them and as the receipt stated. I will not be back. There is not excuse for such poor service and poor accuracy. read more

Long story short , UNSANITARY, DIRTY EQUIPMENT BEHIND COUNTER, EMPLOYEES PULLS MASK DOWN WIPES MOUTH AND PULLS MASK BACK UP TO HAND FOOD OUT, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I came in last night to order because the line was wrapped around the building . I Stood at the register waiting to place my order, the girl didn't say ,"I'll be right with you" or anything to me. She continued to call out orders and talk to the staff. This happened for 10 minutes. As I'm standing at the counter I'm looking behind at the equipment and all the stains on the fridge , the dried up strawberry juice on the counter , and what made me run quickly out of there , was the staff pulling her mask down to wipe her lips with her hand and continually hand out Togo orders... after seeing that I ran fast out of that place. I knew this establishment was DISGUSTING when I walked in and could feel the sticky ness on my shoes.... If you care about your health you should NOT EAT HERE!!!!!! read more

I've been to Dixie Queen in others states, so it's not new to me, so I'm thrilled that we have this very tasty chain in our community now! Great classic style Burgers and perfect Milkshakes! They have other tasty menu items as well. This is my go to now when I want a great Burger & Shake. Much cheaper & frankly better than the "trendy" overpriced burger places & goodness knows much better than most fast food chains. Glad to have them here. I found the staff very nice too, though the wait was a little bit slow, it wasn't too bad IMO. read more

Let me start off by saying that I am a big fan of Dixie Queen in general. Having frequented many locations in North Mississippi, I was thrilled to see a location opening nearby to my house. That said, my visit to this location had a less than enthusiastic outcome. Keep in mind, this place is still new, less than 3 months old, and it already looks like it's been there for about 2 years! How is that possible? Because it is FILTHY!! Whoever is managing this location is not taking it seriously because there is already dirt crusted into the corners and on the counters. As others have mentioned, the wait time is very long, but this is not because they are short-handed, it is because of the half-dozen "workers" there, only two were actually doing something. The others were talking and goofing around, on their phones, leaning on the counter like they were half-dead. I'm not sure if they knew what it meant to have a job. And where was the boss? Anyplace I've ever worked, if my boss saw me doing what these people were doing (or NOT doing more like!), they would put me to work or send me home! Not everyone with long hair was wearing a hair net and one girl that was had it on like a beret with most of her hair out of it and in her face! I guess she didn't like the look. I guess she didn't care that most of us don't like hair touching our food! I agree with one of the reviewers, this place will sadly not be in business long because of its total lack of management. read more
