Came here based on what I read and was not disappointed. Hands down one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to. The country platter was delicious, I never had sausage gravy before but believe it when they say the best sausage gravy in town. The service was awesome, super quick and super nice. Always a great stop if you are looking for a great quality breakfast from a Locally owned business! I came in today for breakfast and it wasn't too busy. Our server greeted us and was super sweet. Today I had the South of the Bprder Omelette. It had scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, and sausage, all wrapped in a flour tortilla. This was all topped with salsa and sour cream. On the way home from a convention, I was starving and saw this place and decided to stop because even though the building was small, the parking lot was full. That's always a good sign in my book. One thing that diners don't normally do is a nice cold coffee. This place didn't disappoint in that area. If I did not know we were in Florida, then I would think I was somewhere in the South. Even though we showed up with 15 people, this restaurant was incredibly fast and accommodating with hot food and hot coffee and cold drinks continuously. We had one baby and four children and they never lost their cool serving our huge group. My family visting from Boston absolutely adored the sweet potato options on the menu. The chicken and waffles was also a huge hit. My daughter and I enjoyed the pancakes, which were HUGE. I've only ordered breakfast, but they have some great looking lunch specials as well. The traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit is above average. My eggs have always been cooked perfectly, and I love that tater tots are one of your potato options. The biscuits here are good. I have yet to try the sweet potato biscuits, but I assure you they are on my list. My favorite thing so far has been the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are good and the gravy is outstanding. Prices are reasonable and service has always been fast and friendly. I found this place on a whim. Very mom and pop's ambience. Waitresses was nice and patient. She must have guessed that we got off a red eye flight. She brought coffee for us and water for the kids. The fruit selection they brought wasn't good, a bit soggy to be honest, and I immediately regretted my decision. I asked her if I could have some of their cottage cheese. She apologized, brought me a big bowl of cottage cheese, and did not charge for it. Plus, Our glasses of water were never low. I would feel terrible not leaving her a nice tip. We were looking for a place out near Universal and everything had such a long wait that we looked on yelp and came here. It did not disappoint. It was very crowded but we did get right in and the service was excellent. They are super friendly definitely down home cooking and down-home hospitality. We got the sweet potato biscuits as that's what they are known for and they did not disappoint. They grilled a few of them for us and they were moist and delicious and we couldn't recommend them enough. Be sure to get some to take home. We took pictures kind of after we started eating but the biscuits gravy With eggs and bacon was delicious. Down home southern cooking. The banana nut pancake we cannot recommend enough as it was not only loaded inside with bananas and nuts and they put it some on the outside as well, and just some butter on top and you don't need syrup. I just got something simple, which was egg whites and hashbrowns and cinnamon raisin toast, which I was very tasty and delicious. The burger was OK. It was simply a burger. I don't believe they're known for their lunch food but it was prepared properly and they were gracious and friendly and they had forgotten the bacon and brought it right away. No issues.
