That's our renovation listed as "Gresham Kitchen Remodel 2021." Let me explain the scope of the…read morework. Our home is over 40 years old and has never been remodeled. Most of the kitchen cabinets were broken in some way, the floor was green vinyl and the countertop were yellow melamine, or something like it. The lights were florescent. So the kitchen was a complete gut. We needed plumbing moved in two instances and we needed electrical work done. In addition, we needed to have the old carpeting in the living room removed and also the removal of the odd landing near the front door that was a definite safety issue and which requires replacing the front door. Aaron provided a detailed estimate and we discovered that we were easily able to track expenses based on the estimate. When all was said and done, even after we discovered we had expensive tastes in wood flooring and backsplashes, we came in right on target because of savings in other parts of the work. Aaron showed up when he said he would and he was present for all subcontractors and inspections. We now have a beautiful new kitchen, dining area and living room. In doing so, you would think that we got all we wanted... but nope. When we started, we had a budget, a tight one. It was our very first home and we weren't sure what we needed or what we truly wanted until you're actually in it. It was finally time. We're ready to make a change. I got a few bids and was ready, it was time to go pick out some countertops and designs. Extended homes was the 2/3 that we went shopped at and got quotes on. The other two places, I will leave names out, 1 was a lot cheaper, but customer service was off. On top of that, I read some bad reviews. The 2nd spot, was a bit cheaper, about $400 but I wasn't too sure, had an off feeling about them too. Extended Homes was the most expensive, however, the service I received from Rachel made me feel so confident. To me, because of her reassuring us and the way she helped us every step of the way... she even told us not to do a few things, made me feel like she truly wants us to be happy, and not in it to make more money. Going with them before the completed look gave me peace of mind. The results.. I couldn't ask for more! Thank you Rachel and her team for the beautiful kitchen!

I decided to spruce up the bathroom in my almost-thirty-year-old house. The glass shower door is…read morestill in great shape overall, but some of the minor hardware pieces were showing their age. I was surprised to find a label inside the door track which, in over twenty years, I had not noticed: CustomLine Shower in Lake Oswego. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that the same company is still in business. I e-mailed a few pictures. They responded within hours offering options to replace my worn-out hardware. Some of those parts had to be custom-made. But I picked them up the next day. Everything fit perfectly. And these few improvements helped my overall project. It's not often you find a company that's been in business this long. But I can see why this one has. The people were friendly and helpful... oh, and knowledgeable and skilled too. And the product is great.

UPDATE: A couple of…read moredays later, the shower wall and door were installed--for which I had asked the salesman to be present, but he did not show up. As soon as the installers left, I went into the bathroom to look at their work. I noticed immediately that theys hadn't installed the side trim pieces, hard vinyl strips that help close the gaps above, between, and below the two hinges that hold the door to the tile wall. I called the salesman, he called the installers, and they came back and installed the strips. After I had waited longer than the required 24 hours for the sealant to cure, I started using the shower again. After each shower, I had to mop up large puddles outside on the bathroom floor. I called the salesman, who agreed to come back out to the house to diagnose the problem. Once there, he told me that the bottom "sweep" (a vinyl strip that's supposed to fill the gap between the bottom of the glass door and the tile ledge) was too long and that the installers had trimmed part of it off, but that the remaining part still got twisted. He said the point of the "twist" was probably where the water was getting out and that replacing the door was the correct solution. He also suggested that the tile ledge might not be sloped into the shower, suggesting that it looked like it might even be sloped toward the bathroom instead. I checked with my own two levels, after he left--the tile ledge is sloped correctly, so that water should run back into the shower. Almost two weeks later, the installers were back with the new door and bottom sweep. I asked them about the leak, and one of them said, "Well, as I'm sure your salesman told you, you can never get a complete seal with a frameless door"; the salesman had never mentioned that. There was no sealant to let cure, this time, so I used the shower later that day. Again, there was a large puddle outside the door after every shower. I examined the gap between the replacement door and the tile ledge and saw immediately that the gap was not filled by the vinyl "sweep." Water would run down the inside of the door, hit the tile ledge, and build up more quickly than the inward slope of the ledge could handle, so water would simply run out onto the bathroom floor. No matter how careful I was to contort myself to keep water from hitting the inside of the shower door, I'd still get as much as several fluid ounces of water, sometimes soaking the bath mat, outside the door. Fed up with dealing with Customline, I measured the gap and went on the Internet to find possible solutions. I found a company who manufactured several styles of soft vinyl strip that might fill the gap between the door and the ledge, but I'd have to affix them to the tile ledge closing the space between the ledge and the bottom of the hard vinyl "sweep." The manufacturer sold only in bulk and only to retailers; after more searching, I found a retailer that was willing to sell me only one of each of the three kinds of strips that looked like they might work. I have purchased those, they've been delivered, and I will try them in the next few days. Thanks for nothing, Customline. If Yelp would let me give you zero stars, that would be my rating.

They travel all over Morocco to hand pick the items in the store. They have some pretty stunning rugs; the kind that you buy first, then design around. If you're into home decor, these are the types of rugs you find on photos in Houzz from high end designers. The rugs are all unique (sizes and colors) since they're hand made. Some of them are very beautiful art pieces. The prices range depending on the rugs, but they seem reasonable to me. I've been looking for a traditional tribal red flat woven rug for a while, but it's really tough trying to find one online. For many rugs, you have to touch it and watch the light dance around it. The price point on my rug is pretty good, which is why I decided to take it on the plane back home. I also ended up with a pouf that makes an area in my office feel like spring time year round (posting photos). Loving the new items for my home!
