I recently saw a mini documentary on how Cisco foods is ruining the restaurant industry. That most…read morerestaurants just buy everything off of these big box places and often you're just paying for the same deep-fried stuff or just paying for the same prepackaged premade stuff from different restaurants with a big markup. They did mention US foods as being another big one and you might be thinking of why am I giving it five stars if that's the case? Well, here it is if I'm buying the same stuff that I'm enjoying at restaurants at a fraction of the cost of being able to eat it at home what a game changer. It all started long ago, and I realized that nobody made their gyro fresh. I saw the box googled it, saw that US foods carried it, and then realized they carried the bread. the sauce and everything. Fast forward I'm eating some of these restaurants that I was paying way too much for at home and having the kids and family would be happy. Sometimes you just need 50 pound bags of flour. Sometimes you need things that you don't want shipped sometimes I need a gallon of my favorite soy sauce because I'm a creature of habit and this is my go to place for that. So next time you're thinking wow that item looks a lot like something I've gotten at a restaurant recently. It just might be that same item so you might want to pick it up and save yourself the trouble. Then you can continue to look for unique authentic places to spend your money to enjoy local flavors and artisan craftsmanship and not just reheated bulk that you can buy at a great establishment like this.

It's also fun the kitchen hardware and Equipment section. One finds unusual things. They're called section is huge everything one might imagine from butter to phyllo dough. If you decide to enter, make sure you have a good jacket as it's really cold in there . The service for the most part is pretty good. Be aware though you need to be a member to shop in there; however, you can get a day pass by filling out a small form. The parking lot is not very large but adequate.

Woah, who knew? I was led here doing a shop for someone else so this as my first time. I will say…read morethat buying in bulk is pretty great. I would not come here for produce unless you really needed an insane amount of potatoes or onions unless you are going for frozen. A lot of things they just have one brand of and the prices seem pretty great. I liked that they have a huge bin of boxes so I grabbed a few to fill as I was shopping to make it even for me carrying it. I did not see the sign saying to form a line under it because it was a good eight feet up and I am super short. The cashiers seem to go back and forth between being really friendly and near hostile so that was jarring. It's a pretty busy store and also pretty large so you could spend a lot of time here as I feel like their stock is ever changing.

For some reason he was dramatically more hospitable with the customers that he helped before and after me. I greeted him, and received no reply in response. I wished him well afterwards and again received no response. Buddy seemed fairly hostile the entirety of the interaction. Not worth the trouble of the visit, in my opinion.

Shopping in Portland, Oregon…read more.. While driving from Seattle, Washington to Portland, I noticed IKEA close to the border between the States. Knowing that Oregon doesn't have sales tax. I suggested to my niece that she get her bigger desk here. She agreed! After browsing through the sales items, cute plushies, kitchen gadgets, and interesting displays, we used the clean restroom and loaded the shopping cart. My niece looked up the gaming desk's number and found the aisle where the box was located. We rolled the flat to the check out line and while we waited, I started scanning the UPC codes on the IKEA app. We skipped the line and went to pay! We even got a free large blue bag for self-scanning our purchases! Yippee! The trick was to get the $79.99 desk into our rental car. Erin, the helpful employee at the checkout station, reassured us that we could return the desk if we couldn't fit it into the car... even after we took it out of the box. We had to try. The price of the desk was great! It wasn't available online. If we had it delivered, we'd be charged Washington sales tax whick would defeat the purpose. There was no other option. We took the desk out of the box in the light rain, removed the packing materials, placed the desk legs in the trunk of the car, and maneuvered the desk top so that one corner touched the glass of the rear window and the sides rested against the back of my driver's seat (which was pushed all the way forward) and my niece's seat was pushed down as flat as it could go. She was still able to take a nap on the desktop for the 2.5 hour drive! LOL! It sure was a memorable adventure which was super productive and promoted teamwork, positive attitude, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills!

With 3 autistic boys, it is very challenging to do self checkout. I complained to a worker, and he…read moresaid you don't even accommodate for people with disabilities any longer as they aren't offering cashiers - like our family. Trying to checkout with the kids is nearly impossible as they are trying to scan items over and over again. I am extremely displeased that you won't have ANY cashiers at registers, even for families with disabilities. I am considering not continuing to shop at IKEA for this reason. Also, the kid area was entirely closed today. But generally I'm disappointed as my 9-year-old and 2-year-old want to go but only the 6-year-old is the correct size. This is discriminatory toward boys generally as they tend to get bigger quicker. You should allow any kid who wants to play (and not be closed on a random Sunday!).

I have bought several appliances over the past few years from Community Appliance for my rental…read moreproperty, and I had been fairly happy with them. But recently I bought a refrigerator that has had to be repaired three times for the same thing. The second time my renter told me that the repairman said that the problem couldn't really be fixed and that it would happen again. So now we are on the third time and I let the woman who answers the phone know that I would come in and pick out a different refrigerator and that I would be happy to pay the difference if the new one I bought cost more. Tonight, I received a call from the owner who told me that he had picked out a refrigerator that he would take over to the rental, but that when the warranty expired in three weeks there would be no further warranty on the new refrigerator. I told him this was unacceptable to me, clearly the refrigerator was damaged beyond repair when purchased. He repeated several times that there would be no warranty and that he would choose the replacement refrig. He interrupted me and spoke over me repeatedly. He also said that he, himself, went out as the repairman the second time and that he never told my tenant that it would not be possible to fix the refrigerator. I asked for his name and he told me Louis. I asked for his last name and he refused to provide it. Then he said I was yelling at him, which I don't believe I was. I simple repeated my request for his last name. I also asked him to spell his first name and he refused. It's easy enough to find his name with a search through the Oregon Secretary of State website. It is Luis Urueta. I certainly will not ever buy another appliance through Community Appliance.
