It's easy to navigate even when under construction and was very clean. We stopped by the bathrooms first and they were completely gender-neutral and super clean which I very much appreciated. We were able to fill up our water bottles before shopping, a relief because I had just filled my water bottle with water that didn't taste great so I was able to dump it out and get good water instead. The store itself was clean and had fun stuff to look at. I ended up getting a couple of little things, spending about $15. There were employees everywhere ready to help but not intruding, so we were able to wander without feeling pressured to buy anything. Check out was quick and easy. The whole store was very nice, very clean, and very welcoming. It felt safe and inclusive, which I appreciated as a queer person. Would definitely go back for more wandering!

I complained to a worker, and he…read moresaid you don't even accommodate for people with disabilities any longer as they aren't offering cashiers - like our family. Trying to checkout with the kids is nearly impossible as they are trying to scan items over and over again. I am extremely displeased that you won't have ANY cashiers at registers, even for families with disabilities. I am considering not continuing to shop at IKEA for this reason. Also, the kid area was entirely closed today. But generally I'm disappointed as my 9-year-old and 2-year-old want to go but only the 6-year-old is the correct size. This is discriminatory toward boys generally as they tend to get bigger quicker. You should allow any kid who wants to play (and not be closed on a random Sunday!).

We began with a kitchen remodel, and added on with some dining room built ins. We will be using them for our next bathroom project. I had a lot of questions and changes throughout the process, and Ian and Norman were always available, responsive and kind in their thorough solutions and answers. They truly care about their customers being completely happy with their work. The prices are very fair, and they are worth it! The quality of cabinets, countertops and details is stellar. From design to installation and follow up even after the install, you will be thrilled with everyone involved with this company - we are!

I had another piece made for the short wall behind the cabinets and I asked them to leave it until I lowered the wall and added new backsplash. Finally finished it all this year and a BGCC team returned to install it. These gentlemen took such pride in their work to compensate for the short wall having been built not level. By the time they completed their work the top was level and the finish work looked great. I'm so very grateful for their efforts! This is such an easy company to recommend to others. Thank you!

This review is not specifically for the cabinets we bought but the overall process working with…read moreParr to get the Kemper cabinets selected and installed, and the counter top/kitchen sink. Also broke it down by appoint since it wasn't only Parr that came out to work. It's too soon to say how the kemper cabinets will hold up in the long run. Short review: There were a couple of hiccups along the way, but we'd recommend them. You have to make sure to project manage it a bit because things do inevitably happen and if you just sit around and wait for the coordinators to reach out to you, it could take longer which could impact when your kitchen is finally done. Would use them again. Long review: Parr: Ken (NE Portland location) was our sales person and he was GREAT! I would recommend him 100%. He always worked hard to make sure things went smooth as possible for us post sale. We took our time during the design phase and it took us about 3 different trips (over the span of 6-9 months) to look around and ask questions at the showroom. Ken never seemed impatient; he didn't rush us but patiently answered questions and sent us a mock up of our designs and updated mock up several times. Even when the install started if there were any hiccups, he jumped right in to try to smooth things out or address our concerns. He also offered alternatives to help save us money. Cabinet Measure: Paul came out and recommended a couple things that would make the cabinets hold up longer and not end up with the ceiling sagging due to the weight. That was greatly appreciated. Installers: Jim & Spencer were GREAT. The install took 2.5 days. Each day they cleaned up after themselves and vacuumed and swept the area. Our house is old so there was some uneven floors/ceilings they had to deal with. They offered up a couple different alternatives and worked with us to find a solution. We ended up being able to use extra scrap pieces to fill in gaps w/o having to order extra pieces. Side note, you will still have to vacuum and wipe things down after they finish. The dust gets everywhere but their cleaning makes your wipe down much more manageable. 2nd installer: Paul: Came back out to finish covering some cabinets that they had to cut to accommodate hvac for our vent. He took the time to go and check the how the project looked to make sure things opened nicely, etc. He might be one of the lead installers based on what Ken said. I think he works directly for Parr. Counter top measure (FloForm): He was fine and able to accommodate my request. Because our run of counter is so long, they ended up needing 2 pieces and I didn't like the original spot he was going to put the seam but he was able to move it. Counter top/sink install (FloForm): It took about 2.5 hours. Install itself was smooth. But we had a tilt drawer in front of the sink and after the sink was installed the tilt drawers were too wide so stuck out a little. Had to contact Ken at Parr to see if they had a skinner tray. 3rd installer (Viktor): Came to replace a piece that the manufacturer sent the wrong color. No issues with this install. He also adjusted the setting on our cabinet with a garage door. We ended up needing to order another hinge for that door. For some reason it only came default with one hinge and it closed harder than we wld hv liked so had Ken order another one. 4th installer (Ken): swap out the tilt tray to fit the narrow space. Install went smooth with no issues. 5th install: add 2nd hinge for garage style door. Installed with no issue, just installed a bigger hinge with soft close instead of installing a second hinge. Appointment Scheduler: Our contact was Sarah. I'm not sure who she works for but there were a couple issues that caused us to rearrange our schedule last minute. 1. The cabinet measure appointment somehow got moved w/o our consent so we had to take time off of work to be there or else they couldn't fit us on the books for another MONTH for a different reschedule. When my husband asked what happened someone at the office (Sara wasn't there that day) said it was moved. 2. Ken said Sara should be calling us to schedule the second install, several days went by and we still didn't get a call. We had to email her and CC Ken to make sure it happened.

We left them our drawings to price the cabinets. He said he'd have it to us by the next week. We waited 3 weeks only to be called and told the order was too complicated for them.

This store is like the Mecca of home stores. And I'm lovin' it!…read more I was here today on Black Friday, of all days. It was crowded, yes, but I expected that. Despite the chaos of the parking lot outside, everyone in the store was cordial and well-behaved and everyone seemed happy to be there and were all in a holiday mood. And holiday and seasonal items were everywhere. This store has the largest selection of Christmas items and gift ideas (and even some Hanukkah ones, too!) of any home store I've been to in a long, long time. A small sampling of the items here: gourmet candies and chocolates (many already boxed and packaged and wrapped for gift-giving, and many from Belgium or elsewhere in Europe. Really pretty!), gourmet oils and vinegars and spices and pastas and sauces, lotions and potions and bath bombs and soaps, all sorts of beauty and skin care items, all sorts of bathroom and kitchen items and gadgets and linens and towels, decorative pillows and throws, gorgeous cutting boards and serving trays and bowls and plates, picture frames, wrapping papers and boxes and cards, toys and games, pet items of every sort, artificial trees and wreaths and figurines and stockings, more candles than you can imagine, and stationery and pretty home office supplies. And more, so much more. As much as I mentioned above, I know I am leaving out a lot. The line to check out was quite long, but it moved along a good clip, and there were lots of fun items lining the shelves to check out as we moved forward towards the cashiers. It was an efficient process, as every cashier counter was staffed today (being Black Friday and all), so no complaints here. All in all, my kid and I loved visiting this store and if I lived in Portland, this would definitely be one of my go-to places!

Dave was highly responsive, and did a fantastic job designing our cabinet layout. Everyone we encountered at Kitchen Concepts was outstanding in terms of customer service. We are very, very happy with our beautiful cabinets and beautiful quartz counters. The cabinets were all in perfect shape when delivered, and extremely solid, and well made. We did opt for some higher end upgrades such as hardwood drawers, etc. which were completely worth it. I am so happy that I found Kitchen Concepts when I was researching contractors online, as I prefer to support smaller local businesses, and I was pleased that they sold Canyon Creek cabinets, which are made in Washington. We used Dave's recommended contractor (Custom Touch), and could not have been more pleased with them as well. The coordination and communication between our contractor and Kitchen Concepts was excellent, and the entire project was so well-organized, planned out, carried out, and the quality of the work, and the quality of all of the materials. We will likely reach out to Dave in the near future for a bathroom closet and vanity replacement for our main floor bathroom, as well as a to replace a built in linen closet in our hallway.
