I had a…read morevery bad coloring experience 5 years ago where my hair was chemically burned off from too much bleach and over processing. I tried for years to grow my hair naturally with every oil, serum, diet, supplement and using clip in extensions to no avail. I hated my hair, and all I wanted was to get my thick full head of hair back. I tried e v e r y t h i n g. When I came to Tiffany I did my consult and she explained everything in detail, exactly what the process would be, and most importantly my goal of getting my natural hair healthy again. Tiffany recommended 2 rows of extensions and after my install I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am for Tiffany and her services. She makes it simple, her space is beautiful, and she has become a friend. I walked out of her salon in happy tears because I finally felt like I had someone who listened and gave me my confidence back. Following her after care instructions I am now on my second set of extensions and down to 1 row and a mini and my natural hair is FINALLY growing back. I've never been more confident in my hair and am so grateful I no longer have to clip in extensions every single day. I can put my hair in whatever style I want and no one can ever tell I have extensions unless I tell them and rave about Tiffany. If you are thinking about extensions you NEED Tiffany. She is simply the best and takes so much pride in continuing her education and craft. I only use the hair product she recommends and they have also made all the difference. She also has the best snacks and drinks and I can even work from her chair when needed.

I would not recommend this salon for mesh integration systems or other high-cost, technical hair…read moreservices. I spent several thousand dollars on a mesh integration/topper and extensions after relying entirely on professional guidance. The system was installed incorrectly, and once the initial styling settled, the placement issues were clear. I returned in person specifically to have the installation corrected. Instead of fixing the issues, I was told I would need to wait approximately 8 weeks until my next scheduled visit for a reinstall. For a service of this complexity and cost, being asked to live with an improperly installed system for weeks is unacceptable. The topper color also failed quickly. Within about three weeks, it faded back toward a lighter/blonde tone and no longer matched my brown hair. This is an integrated system worn with natural hair, and color compatibility is a basic functional requirement. I was sold this based on color and texture pattern matching, which was not represented honestly or transparently, as the hair is heavily pre-processed and does not hold color that is dyed at the salon. There were also billing transparency issues. I later discovered--only after requesting an itemized receipt--that I had been charged for extension hair that was never installed or physically provided to me. Despite raising this issue, I was never refunded for the incorrect billing. Overall, this experience showed a lack of technical expertise, inadequate quality control, and poor transparency for a service that requires precision and experience. If you are considering a mesh integration or similar system, I strongly recommend seeking out a salon in a major hub (such as Chicago) with extensive, specialized experience in these systems. This is not a service that should be handled without proven expertise. Do not get mesh integration at this salon.

Stylist told me she would do my roots a shade lighter and then tone and blend in, plus cut. On my initial visit the hot water was out and I thought it was a fluke. Six weeks later I go back for a second appointment and tell my stylist that the light color did not blend with the rest of my hair and needed to be fixed. She tells me she'll tone it. She puts color in my hair, set me by the wash station and left me there for an hour while she did somebody else's hair. When she came back, she apologized and said the hot water was out again. So I got another cold hair wash, she dry it, and the color was not blended and I ended up with light roots and dark hair. I ended up having to go to somebody else for a color correct because not only where the root slider than the rest of my hair and not blended, the roots weren't even consistently colored, spots missed, gray not covered. These pictures were taken seven days after the color appointment. I won't be back, I paid $200 for the most experienced colorist on Staff and what I got was bad color with cold water.

Its very frustrating..OH and then getting your heartbroken when you find THE ONE and she decides to quit cutting hair and go back to school... noooo, don't improve your life...I need a haircut...come baaack!! I digress...I knew I wanted to go to an Aveda salons try their products, my hair has been through the ringer with the crap products I put in it...and a place close by my house with later hours...hello Bambu. I was greeted by my stylist, Celisa, and shown where the bathroom was to wash my hands (this is definitely going to be the new norm). I sat down and we discussed what I want to do with my hair now (pre wedding) and what my future goals are (short, blue hair). I explained my frustration with massive hair loss lately. I appreciate that she didn't push me to buy Aveda products, but told me to research her product suggestion and gave me some tips that I could do (e.g, massage scalp, rise with cool water to close cuticles). We decided on not doing a full haircut because I want my hair long for my wedding and doing a much needed hair conditioning treatment. I totally recommend doing a treatment..nice little scalp massage and hot towel for 10 or so minutes (I was so relaxed I kind of snoozed). I loved my experience here at Bambu and I hope that Celisa will be my hairstylist forever (or at least till I move T.T). I can't wait to come back in 6 weeks! Odds and ends: Parking directly in the back or meter on the street. Masks are required and all staff are wearing them. They have hand sanitizer and sanitize the washing station immediately after each customer. They seem to space customers out, so we were not right next to each other. Celisa had another customer after me and I noticed she put her at another station since the chair I wasn't at wasn't sanitized yet. You guys are awesome!

I put in a great deal of research to find Emmett and Naieem. I wasn't looking for a good stylist…read more I was looking for one of the BEST. I found Naieem. My hair was embarrassing. The color was horrid; the hair itself was severely damaged. I was convinced my only option was to cut most of it. "No, not true," Naieem said. The gentleman bolstered me in a matter of minutes. He had a plan. I knew my in-depth research had been successful. I'm unable to recall the plan specifics. Naieem is more of a Picasso, not paint by numbers. After the color turned out marvelously it was time for the harsh haircut. No. My hair was healthier. My ends were not hay, they were silky smooth. I only needed a little cut from my hair. Naieem's talent overflows. I doubt my hair has ever looked or felt better. I cannot imagine going anywhere else in the future. I want to share a couple of things I feel are significant.
