This review is based on my last visit to Diva's Mails. As you can see for the picture below this is disgusting. My manicurist didn't bother to cut my nails before applying acrylics. Also she completely had an attitude when I questioned her about why she was going to charge me extra for doing coffin style on the nails. As with my regular nails I was never charged for that. So here I was with a question and to her nasty response was "You want everything done, you gotta pay" Then she proceeded to which I can assumed was to talk bad about me because her male coworkers turned around and stared at me. Mind you I paid her for everything even the extra charges and gave her a tip. And she just literally squirted a bunch of oil on my hands and said "rub them together!" For as long as I've been coming here for about a year now, I have NEVER received such treatment. But I'm really debating whether or not to even come back here again after how this woman behaved. read more

First time in this nail salon. I decided to try it out as I live nearby and was tired of driving to my usual nail salon. I went around 12ish on Saturday without an appointment and they took me in right away. The nice thing is that it didn't get to busy and are not over staffed. I saw staff do pedis and manís for the same person which I like. The place is clean and for pedis they do cover the water tub. I got my nails done by Tom who took his time and did everything I asked for. I got the following: works package pedi with gel removal and regular polish and regular mani with gel removal and gel polish for $49. Not as bad as other places. It would be nice if they didn't charge for gel removal as it's mandatory to take it off to put new polish but that's my only recommendation. Along with I did had to instruct Tom to clean the nail equipment in front of me just so I can make sure everything is extra clean. I would return to this place again as the location (they have parking and doesn't get too busy) and price are right. read more

So I decided to try this place out because of the good reviews and because it's close to my job. Came in and only waited about 5 mins to be seated. It wasn't full which I'm glad because I was on my lunch break lol.. They have a good selection of gel colors to choose from. It was pretty clean inside. I just got a gel manicure which was $23 but next time I'll try the gel pedicure also. Young lady who did my manicure did a good job. I like how she actually took off all the dead skin around my nail which a lot of places I go to never bother to do that. Or they do it but barely pull off any skin. My nails look clean. if you can get past the having to spend 3 hours here for a fill and pedicure the work is actually really great. I have gotten a full set with Tom and have gotten a fill with Lee and both times I have left super happy with my nail shape. I always show a picture and all three times I have been there they have delivered. I always get the older man for my pedicures and he is fast and does a pretty good job. I love the fact that they use bags over the sinks and they have a wide range of colors. If this place actually honored their appointments I would give them a perfect 5 stars, but all three times I have been here its been at least 3 hours and I don't always have that kind of time so I will definitely make sure to never come here if I am in a time crunch. I am giving them three stars because although I love the work, I hate that if I make an appointment I still have to wait up to an hour to get worked on. I understand that they are new and do not want to say "no" to walk ins, but you should be on your time for your appointments, especially if I am. If they work on the long waits, this nail shop could be really great. read more

So I've waited a while to review this place because I just wasn't sure if this is how most technicians operate. It's not!!! Tom is so rough. It's been months since I went to him and my nails are still damaged. I have an infection now from all the excessive painful drilling he did on my natural nail. I almost screamed in pain while he was doing my nails and he just continued without saying a thing. The drilling has caused my nails to crack in the middle making them very prone to infection. In addition he makes unnecessary rude remarks and does not have the skill and tools necessary to make the cute designs I like. read more

I usually don't even post reviews but this had to be said . I went on Sunday , hit a couple nail spots who I saw on yelp that were good but none could take me . Saw this place and was like cool I'll go they have a good rating I'll give them a chance turns out Yelp rating is so far off base cuz this wasn't a 4 star place . They do require you to wear a mask if you don't have one they will give you one , and what I found odd I see some people without one but made me wear one . I had asked the tech a simple Halloween design said he can accommodate, started doing my nails started seeing them super chunky told him something about it reassured me he'll "thin" them out , asked him for a nude color decided he wanted to do pink instead told him no . Was gonna just leave with these plain chunky sets but it was late and I knew nobody could take me if I left so I decided to change the color .. told him my idea came out with STICKERS! To just popped on my nail , I didn't ask for tht cuz usually illl get em hand painted but he continued on . I used to come here often precovid, but I think they are money hungry. I took my 4 year old daughter to get her nails & toes done for the first time for her birthday. I walk in, tell them I want a full set, 2 pedicures & a mani, they say okay & we wait. Half way through our pedicures the man lets me know they can not do regular nail polish only gel or clear polish. I ask them to explain the reasoning..Covid & insist that I put gel on my 4 year olds nails. I tell them no & to explain the reasoning, they tell me it's covid & the law. I looked it up, there is nothing stopping them from using regular nail polish. If I would have known I would not have gotten my nails done there at all. Especially after waiting so long, I should have been informed when I walked in about THEIR POLICY, not law & not half way through my service. Ended up leaving with a sad child who couldn't get her nails done for her birthday & I didn't get mine done either. Lee is the guy for nails. He has been doing my nails for over 7 years. I am so happy he opened his own shop in Gardena. The shop is clean, the pedicure chairs are sooooo comfortable and there is always nice music playing. There are tons of colors to choose from gel or regular polish. Lee does THE BEST nails in the South Bay. He definitely knows what he is doing. He is quick, professional and he listens to his clients. If you love fun designs, he is THE GUY for designs. I question the cleanliness and the service My first time here and I will say I was seated at a station for a nail fill in 5 minutes. He started and it seemed ok. First thing he started to drill the gel polish off my nail. He was going so fast it started to burn. He filed down my nails and it seems like he used whatever was in the drawer. My experience was so bad that he didn't even use a clean towel to put down over the table while he did the work. No towel at all. As he finished my fill and filing down my nails he stopped 3 times to sit and text so I sat at waited until he finished. It was so bad after my fill I had dust all over my hands and he didn't even send me to wash my hands. He just used the duster and started to polish. I didn't even want to complain so I let him finish my polish (which he did a damn good job on the polish only). After he was done I just asked to wash my hands so I could leave. $27 for a fill and gel polish but I wont be returning. read more

I came here yesterday to get a fill, have and broken nail fixed and a pedicure. The young lady that did my pedicure was nice and patient she did a really good job. I wanted Lee to do my nails because of the other reviews here on yelp. In hines sight I should not have come to this nail shop period but i was in the area for the weekend visiting my sister and needed a fill. I have a wonderful nail shop in Costa Mesa that I'm very pleased with. However due to the broken nail i felt raggedy so i got my nails done. I was at the nail shop from 430p-715p and there was no wait that's how long the services took. I could've died. Lee was not great he didn't have a good attitude and in my photos you'll see today 24hrs later i have a broken nail and chipped gel. I spent a lot of money for my fill and pedicure yesterday and tmr I'll have to go to another shop to fix a nail. I'm sorry i cannot and will not recommend Lee. The pedicurist all seemed really nice and patient but i won't be back i should've just waited to go to my salon.! read more

Pretty upset with this spa, my friend called 5 hrs ahead so we can both do a manicure & they decided to have one person help the two of us when there was plenty of staff, they helped a girl who just walked in before me, waited 30 mins & i didn't know it was just one person for the two of us. Been going on and off with this place but only Bc it's really close to my home. I've said time and time I would stop Bc of the nail polish quality. Idk if they use cheap polish but it seems to always chip before the two week mark. Today I went in for a polish change bc of my chippped polish and was treated very rudely by one of the ladies there. She didn't even paint my toes correctly and when I asked her to go over them she did it aggressively. This is my last time and they need to change out their polish. read more
