Always trying to add on services you didn't ask for and then see if you will pay and not call them out.

Very very pricy, trim looked ok from a distance but one of my dogs got into car and bled all over my seat. Nothing was mentioned when I picked up. I called snd the groomer was gone. I said please call her and find out what happened. They did call me back but said they didn't hurt the dog. I am so sorry I went. I do not recommend this place. read more

I am new to the area, and someone recommended Diva Dog to me. I have an Aussiedoodle, who I get groomed often. I never have been as dissatisfied as I am about my dog's experience yesterday. When I arrived, I was promoted to go to the back where the groomers were. There was dog hair everywhere and 3 dogs running around a very small area. They also never asked for his vaccination records. When I received the call from the groomer that she had finished, she was very kind. She also informed me that she "nicked" his back leg. I didn't think anything about it because I knew it was an accident. When I arrived, I was immediately prompted to pay. No groomers were left in the store. With every other experience, the groomer brings him out to me. I asked to see him before I paid. At first, his cut looked great, but the "nick" was more of a gash. I payed the lady at the counter and I left. Today, I saw that his ears didn't look like they had been touched. The greasy and dirty hair had not been trimmed underneath. I then saw a massive amount of dirt in his ears. Overall, the groomers were kind, but I could have done the same thing at home and not paid $90. read more

Update since taking my pup to diva dog. Today is Monday and we took my dog there on Saturday. I am starting to think they did more than just give my dog a bath and trim. He seems to be pretty traumatized. More scary and withdrawn than usual still! Anytime he goes to the vet or his regular groomer he might be unsettled for a few hours after that he is back to normal and very very playful and cuddly. He is not like himself. Very scary. Keeps biting scratching and licking on himself. He won't even interact with us like he used to.. I saw another review (after the fact) that states they have seen workers yank on dogs tails and worker has hit dog. He's been whimpering whining all throughout the night. Never ever has he done that. Only whines sometimes when he wants to go outside. He won't even sleep with us like he used to, like he's just all around afraid. I wish he could talk so he could tell me what's wrong and what they did. But if anybody is thinking about taking their pet there, DONT. read more

My dog came home limping and crying.... NEVER come here. Disgusting. He refuses to even come around us, and we are taking him to the vet tomorrow. BEYOND unsatisfied. Will never ever come back, I feel terrible for whatever they did to my dog. read more

The worst of the worst. I took my 14 month old Twoodle in for grooming. I specifically told the grooming assistant that I wanted 1/4 inch off and to not touch his ears. 7 hours later... (ridiculous)... picked my pup up and he bad been shaved. Furious is an understatement to describe my feelings.... The incompetent woman at Diva Dog then proceeded to not only not offer an apology, she charged me $10 extra for matted hair, which my pup did not have. 2 weeks after the fact and I am still angry. read more

Took my mini golden doodle here for bath and trim. His appointment was at 9:00. i kept waiting all day for a call saying he was finished. I started calling about 2:30 to see if he was ready. I was told to give them 30 more minutes. I still heard nothing for the next hour so I called again. This went on for the next few hours! Finally, at 6:00, I was told that he was ready for pickup! when I arrived, I was told that the groomer I requested wasnt able to groom him and that someone else groomed him. Then I was told that he was matted (Not True!) and that he had to be shaved! When I saw my baby, I about cried!! They had taken off all of his hair, knicked his anal area and traumatized my sweet baby! Never, Ever Again, Will I go back there! Be warned!! Find somewhere else to get your baby groomed!!! read more

I have a new "older" dog from a friend that passed away. She's a beautiful Pomeranian and needs regular trimming. I live in Madison and had heard about Diva Dog, so I made an appointment there. Sandi was the groomer, and she did an excellent job. My "Miss Ella" came out looking like a show dog, strutting her stuff--so proud. This morning will be my third trip to Diva Dog, and I have requested Sandi again. I am highly satisfied with Diva Dog and the job Sandi does with my new pet. read more

Not impressed. I took my 11 week old puppy there for a "puppy cut" and came out with virtually no trim at all & $25 less than I went In with. They weren't able to trim her hair or her paws nor her sanitary cut which is the whole reason I took her. I even called to book the day before specifying exactly what I wanted, never once did they say we generally do not cut puppies. If they had specified they would do the job they did, I would have taken her elsewhere. They said well she did good with the wash and blow dry.... well duh, that's because I do that all the time. they said bring her back In 2 weeks and we can try again. Ummm no thanks. I will take her somewhere that will actually do the job I paid for. read more

The groomers do not follow instructions. My dog was shaved without calling and asking permission which I would not have given. I would have gone and picked her up. They cut her paw while trying to shave between the pads. And finally, the groomer dropped her right in front of us busting her lip. Poor dog had a heck of a day yesterday. Ii have a poodle. We have been here a few times And have never been over the moon about them. Swanky address , condescending groomers And very high prices. My groomer seemed to be always either out sick or leaving early because she was sick so my dog was constantly being shuffled to someone else. This last time took the cake. My groomer called After a whole morning of waiting to pick her up and said she was going home sick. Another groomer was going to work my dog in And because of time constraints and that my dog was matted she would be shaved.The other groomer would leave her top knot. This is during covid and finding another groomer was Not something I wanted to do so I reluctantly agreed. I was appalled when she came home. They shaved the end of her tail. All her tail. She looked like a file tail rat.Her tail would have taken maybe 5 minutes to comb out! My poodle looks like a freak. I read it would take 6 months to grow. My poodle is so traumatized and her owner is too. I think that was just hateful of them. Oh, they charged $60 to completely shave my beautiful poodle! I will never go back. read more

I decided to try Diva dog for my dog. We were first time customers. While waiting to check in, there was a lady grooming a spaniel type dog, yelling at him, telling him he was bad, no, no, no. She then proceeded to grab him by the tail yanking him back towards her. I took a step back for my husband to see and he then saw her grab him by the testies yanking him back. I was horrified! It was not gentle. Told the blond lady at the desk, there is no way I'm leaving my dog there. There were also two people in there complaining that their dogs were shaved down to the skin. My very large labradoodle visits every three months. It takes at least four hours but my dog looks like he's ready to meet the Wizard of Oz. Washed and cut hair, trimmed nails, clipped around pads and inside ears, brushed teeth and expressed anal Gland. I've been using Diva Dog for 15 years. Couldn't be happier. My last dog was 15 an English sheep dog. She loved diva dog. The groomers knew her by name, and my pet responded to them in a loving manner. She always looked great. My new pup is totally different. The groomers are very patient with him. Very disappointed and concerned for pets! Took my King Charles cavalier in for a trim and they completely shaved her!! They actually recommended we call our vet due to concern of hemotoma from shaving so close! The groomers do not know what they are doing. My dog is botched from head to toe. I love Diva Dog! This is my go-to groomer for my 1 1/2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My pup has been going here since she was 6 months old for the mini groom, and we've grown to love Sandy. She does a great job and actually listens to my requests bout my dogs cut. She is very experienced and has given me wonderful advice about how to care for my dog's coat and long ears (that are prone to matting). My dog enjoys being able to roam while she waits for me to pick her up and she is always happy and playful when I pick her up. I've used 2 other groomers (only because they were closer to my house), and I really regretted not sticking with Diva Dog. They are wonderful and you get what you pay for! I'll continue to use Sandy at Diva Dog for sure! read more
