We honestly thought it was just a coffee shop, but it turned out to be the perfect place for a light meal and a relaxing break. The shop has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with unique décor featuring photos of the local community and its history, which gave it a lot of character. There are several seating options, including high-top tables for two, lower tables with four chairs, and bar seating. The menu offers much more than coffee--they also serve sandwiches, ice cream, and other drinks. We ordered the Southwest Chicken Quesadilla, which came with a side of salsa, and it was absolutely delicious. To drink, we had the Raspberry Cream Soda and the Detox Water with strawberries, lemons, blueberries, and cucumbers. Both were refreshing, and the detox water was especially good. The background music was just right--not too loud, making it easy to enjoy a conversation. The shop was spotless, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The ladies behind the counter were welcoming, and the gentleman who prepared our food did an outstanding job. This was the perfect way to wrap up our visit to the area. We left with full bellies, great conversation, and a wonderful last stop before hitting the road. The Take It Easy may have standard toppings but the dog and bun are excellent. The Kansas dog was supreme. The dog, bun, and the toppings were fantastic. I don't know why the little town of Winslow has such good hot dogs but it just shows you never know what you may find.

When we told him that it was my wife's birthday, he immediately offered free ice cream for her even though we do not have a Baskin Robbins membership account. Our food was correct (thus 2 stars - one for our chicken and one for our fries) but the wait was excessive (15 minutes) and I wanted a concrete and was debating with my husband on the size and opted for a small (we had this discussion in front of Madelyn) and after looking at the menu I ordered a "small concrete in the flavor of the day" and she placed my order without questions. My husband ordered a small chocolate concrete with Reese's PB cups but asked for them not to put too many in. After our 15 minute wait we were given a small chocolate concrete and a super tiny FOD concrete. I reminded her I ordered a small and she said it only came in that size. I said I wish she would've told me that when I ordered it. We didn't have time to wait to have it remade. It was supposed to be a chocolate and caramel concrete but there was no caramel on it so I asked if they could at least put that on it. When we got to the car I looked at my receipt and my concrete that was about 1/4 of my husband's small was $4.09! A small was $6.29. It gets worse: after asking for "not a lot of PB cups" he got ZERO. Sadly we did not realize this until we were a few miles out of town. My recommendations: if you are in a hurry go elsewhere and clarify what you are ordering and what you get. I think we'll just try somewhere else.
