This is the only restaurant in the Springerville/Eagar area that I would eat at. It's bar food. The turkey melt & fries are tasty. As you enter the large double doors the restaurant is to the left and bar on the right. Inside the bar are large booths and a wrap bar with sports on their tv. Camping locally, had to grab some supplies locally and saw this restaurant; had to give it a whirl. Recommend: Without a question... This place recently burned down in the past and has been completely rebuilt. It's a beautifully designed interior, and straight smack in the front is one of THE MOST impressive displays of local Veteran Soldiers who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country - and this unique hometown community. It's stunning and solemn that the owners have done this and as a Veteran who made it home, this hits 'home' to me... The restaurant is decorated with deep Patriotic themes, well decorated and airy with southwestern pics, horseshoes etc.etc.. The food was absolutely on point, fresh and hot. Tasty, fulfilling and with an all you can eat walk-up salad bar loaded with fresh ingredients, I'm just so glad we're all past the 'Covid' timeline where this would've been all but shut down. The meal was NOT pricey, the Wait staff were super fast, efficient and quick with refills. Just can't find a negative to share. Love restaurants like this! I came here for breakfast and dinner on the same day. I had a basic breakfast, scrambled eggs, hash browns and link sausage. The sausage was very good. For dinner I ordered the Prime Rib, medium rare. It came out as ordered and well seasoned. Steak sauce was provided upon request. I also had a choice of sides and went with the salad bar and a baked potato. They have some really nice looking pie desserts but I was too full to try. read more

It's hard to believe, but they also have Mexican food that's very good. The chips and salsa are really good. The servers are outstanding and very friendly. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. I love the patriotism! As far as the food it was not satisfactory. 4 of us ordered BLTs. The bread was super buttered, lots of Mayo and only two slices of bacon per sandwich, small amount of lettuce and tomatoes per the size of bread. We took all the insides from the sandwich and put it in one half of the sandwich just to make it seem full. The bean burrito was canned beans with no extra seasoning. My wife and I travel a great deal. We were driving through Eager Az on our way to Showlow Az. We stoped at the trail riders restaurant for lunch. Looking over the lunch menu I noticed they did Mexican food too. Decided to order the Chimichangas and check it out. I have had Chimichangas from a lot of very good restaurants. I ordered it with the green sauce on the side. I wanted to taste the flavor profile, texture and quality of the shredded beef and other added ingredients. I ordered it specifically to do my comparison to others I have reviewed. Add on the sour cream, guacamole and garnish. This is the absolute best I have ever had. We came here after visiting the nearby zoo. The zoo was so much fun!!!! It delivered beyond expectation!! So did Trail Riders Restaurant!! We really enjoyed our server!! She was very on spot, and she had an upbeat attitude!! The place was completely FULL on a Wednesday at 2:00, which says a LOT about the popularity of the restaurant (and it is a big restaurant)!! There was only ONE booth available when we arrived. It was a bigger booth that could have seated more people than just the three of us. I asked permission to sit in the larger booth and our server was very accommodating and welcoming for us to sit in the larger booth!! The booth was SO special!! Our teen said it was "like a cave." It was so private and very unique, and I want to sit there next time too!!! Now, I am spoiled!! We enjoyed our food!! Our teen ordered the chicken strip basket, and he said multiple times, "It is so good!!!" He said that he wants to go back! I ordered the turkey sandwich with green chilis, and pepper jack cheese and I would definitely order it again!! My hubby's grilled chicken was very thin and a bit disappointing and he would order what I ordered next time, or he will try something else from the expansive menu!!! Bottom line is, that we will go back to the nearby zoo as it was super enjoyable and beyond expectation, and we will return to Trail Riders before or after the zoo visit, depending on what time we reserve our visit at the zoo!! Husband and I were traveling through on a road trip and hit Springerville right at lunch time. Having chosen the Safire Restaurant, and were sadly disappointed when we found it closed (even though Yelp said they were open), we chose Trail Riders. We could tell when we got to the restaurant that we weren't going to be disappointed. The parking lot was full. We walked, were welcomed to seat ourselves, and found a booth near a window. We were quickly greeted by the hostess that gave us our menus and told us our waitress would join us shortly. And shortly she did. She took our drink order and asked us if we had any questions. So friendly. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger to split. It was delicious! The patty was cooked to perfection, as was the bacon. The fries were extra crispy, just as requested. When the waitress came to check on us, my husband asked a question about the area. Just a curiosity that he had. She gladly and excitedly answered the question. And having grown up in the area, you could tell in her eyes that she loves telling about the history. So, long story short, the food was delicious (which by the way, she told us that everything is made in house, including all of the Mexican food), it was the most pleasant of experiences. Not to mention the atmosphere was so nice, a decorated "Valentine's Tree", cute signs. Just....just go there if you go through. You won't be sorry. read more

We found this place on Yelp. We always use the app when looking for restaurants. The ambiance was so wam and inviting. They had wonderful Fall decorations every where, even hay bails! Service was exceptional. I was on a fishing trip with a group that had dinner at Molly Butler's our first night and decided to try Trail Riders for our last night. My fishing partner order flour tacos because he did not like corn tortillas, but our waitress talked him into try the corn ones. He said they were the best taco's he had ever eaten. I ordered the Chimichanga with Pork smothered in Green Chile and it was huge but one of the best that I had ever eaten also. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The establishment is clean and has a bit of personality. We were there for breakfast and there was a nice selection. The servings are very generous, the food taste good and is fair priced. The only issue, and why I rated it four stars instead of five, is a few of the hash brown orders were undercooked. The staff was pleasant and greeted us upon arrival. Our server was with us quickly and delivered the food promptly. She was there with the coffee when needed but didn't hover.
