This was my first time dealing with lice issue as my kid just started school and came home with it..accidently found one and freaked out! I called Ditch the Itch..the owner answered all my questions and since we had just moved and unsettled she was able to provide an in home service..a bit pricey but I was willing to clean out whatever needed. This review is a little overdue but I need to let it be known. I absolutely was in panic mode the moment I found out I had head lice. I automatically assumed it was for people who are "dirty" and boy did this experience humble me for sure! Turns out lice like clean hair and you can get it from just about anywhere if you're in close enough contact yuck! I freaked out and went online looking for a professional to get this crap out of my hair. I attempted over the counter stuff, and wasted over $100 at CVS on stuff that didn't work. I called Mary on a weekend and she answered and was extremely informative, as well as super nice. Her prices were reasonable compared to other places I called. My whole family went to get checked, and her and her daughter Amanda were both wonderful! If I ever have to deal with this (which I hope not) I will definitely be coming back to them. Don't waste your time or money with that over the counter stuff, more likely than not you won't get it all out and it will come back fast. I HATE LICE LOL read more

Highly Highly Recommend! When I found that my daughter had lice, I had no idea where to start. Her doctor advised to just do the over the counter Nix treatment and all will be well. I went in thinking (& feeling ) I was infested! My cousins kids had gotten lice. After they spent a few nights at my house I thought I definitely had them. I tried over the counter products but I wasn't 100% sure I had the issue taken care of. I called Mary the night before, right when she was closing, and she scheduled me an appointment for the very next day. Being 9 months pregnant I was so worried I'd spread them to my newborn when she came. I went in thinking I'd pay $85+ for a treatment but Maria, who ended up doing my hair, suggested I to a Lice Check because she wasn't seeing anything. She nearly did most of my hair and NOTHING was found. I paid $20 for the check and went ahead and purchase the Lice Repellent. Sophia was such a sweetheart and made my little sister feel better about her hair, while providing a genuine service. She was super informative about how to treat lice at home and after our treatment with her. The office was cute and had movies and other things to keep children busy while being cleaned. It was $80 for an hour service which was WORTH IT! My sister had an extreme superbug that kept coming back after all of the over the counter treatments for the past six months. Now her hair is clean and itch free! I've been hearing around Fontana lately there has been a lice outbreak and being that my baby sister is in elementary school I've been checking her but just when I thought all was well, it really wasn't. Once I noticed she had lice I immediately pulled up my yelp to see if there were people out there that do this service. Mind you lice back then was a creme white color now they are being called super lice and they are huge and black. Now a days over the counter treatments don't work. I called 2 hours later to confirm the Rancho location and state I didn't receive a text. Of course, they said I would receive a text and they had me down. First off...the technician who helped me was AMAZING...very professional and effective. The technician who helped my daughters was nice..however my youngest daughter was not lice free at the end of this. We did the 2nd treatment 4 days later with the enzyme spray the owner sold me at a whopping $120... just over 2 weeks later my 2 year old is itching crazy and the lice was back with a vengeance. I contacted the owner and let her know it was never gone..obviously. her response... there is no guarantee because you didnt do a 3rd treatment 2 days after the 2nd...and you're not a professional... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I spoke with her over the phone when we were all treated and NEVER mentioned 2 days later...only 4 days for 2nd treatment.... her response...THATS NOT MY JOB...ITS THE TECHNICIANS...WHAT A JOKE...over $400 down the drain....if you need lice removal in your family I recommend lice doctors...they come to your home and guarantee 30 days! Mary, Sophia and Angelique are all amazing women. I discovered 2 of my 4 daughters had a case of head lice from a recent vacation. I called Mary on Friday last week and they were able to fit us in that night at 6:00 pm and 8:00 the next morning.
