I spent two 225 dollars for treatment and spray and a picker and my daughter is still itching the very next day so I went through her hair with the picker and found eggs still and I just dont know what I paid for exactly my daughter still has eggs and lice total waste of money would not recommend at all waste of time and my money I wish I got the same treatment as these others comments. My 2 year old son kept getting sent home from school repeatedly, it was to the point where his younger sibling had got it and was itching uncontrollably plus crying constantly. I truly recommend Lizzies. They are upfront about their fees. They are very professional, and they have a HUGE tv for the kids to watch while their hair is being cleaned. The thing that impressed me the most is that my daughter had been misdiagnosed. School thought she had lice as there were students in her class with it and they thought they saw it in her hair. They recommended we go to Lizzies and after at least 30 minutes of VERY careful combing and inspection all we had was a bowl with sand in it. (We had been to the beach the day before.) All I needed to pay was the $25 consultation fee. AND I had the peace of mind that she had been thoroughly checked. We came here in April during spring break when I found lice on my daughter the Saturday after school. I was freaking out, I've never had lice or known anyone that's had it. I had no idea where she got it except from school as that Thursday was the only day I let her hair down because of school pictures. So I was sure she got it from school and was pissed that parents weren't notified. Well come to find out schools don't have to anymore which is ridiculous because if parents were aware I'm sure more would take precautions on how to style their child's hair to prevent them from getting it. Anyways rant over! Sarah was amazing she explained everything to me and was very helpful and made my daughter and I feel comfortable. I was nervous as to what kind of damage would happen to my daughters hair as she has really curly hair and I don't use harsh things on her hair. Well the product isn't harsh it's very natural but does contain soap which can be very drying to hair especially when used daily like I was for 2 weeks on her hair. The take home process was easy and I was able to check her hair and do the final treatments myself and sure enough when it was time to go back and get her checked she was lice free!!! I still have the treatment and use it on her hair once every couple of weeks just to help prevent it. The price is really great as well compared to the other company's that are near me! I paid around $190 for the treatment, big bottle of solution, nit comb, and another head check. I did have a little bit of a drive but it was worth it because I was not going to drop $400 on lice removal from another place that was close to where we live. We unfortunately had to pay a visit to Lizzies but they were super flexible and got us in right away. The shop was clean and well maintained. I thought it was great that they had the flat screen TV on the wall to keep the kids occupied while they are receiving treatment. RJ was great with my daughter and very thorough. She put us at ease. My daughter was able to sit comfortably while receiving her treatment and so far so good. No more lice! I was so happy to leave this to the professionals. Called this place immediately after discovering lice in my daughter's hair. She got us in right away! Come to find out I also had lice. She was so sweet and thorough. She got everything and I have very thick hair. She gave us cleaning information and follow up treatments. It was pricey but worth it for the piece of mind and the fact that I couldn't have treated myself as thoroughly as she did. UPDATE: Received a phone call from staff, offering an additional head check this week which I truly appreciated! I brought my 13 yr old daughter here after she contracted lice for the 3rd time in 2 months. Sigh. We all know the struggle. As a former child care director, I've been there and done that with head lice. It happens. I still decided to try the non-toxic route, and wanted to save myself 3 hours of time and back pain. I called on a Monday and the gal told me to come in a few hours later. The place was easy to find since I read a previous review about it being upstairs. Inside, the place has things to keep young ones occupied. The staff know their stuff. Before long, the white bowl next to my kid was filled with lots of nits and a few live critters. Yeah, cringe worthy. I get it. $165 and about an hour or so later, which included treatment, a bottle of product for 2 future applications, an instruction sheet, comb, and her tip, this single mom was broke but happy. The paperwork told me to do an application 5 days later. I decided to check her at 2 days after and saw nothing. Yay! The 5th day, she had around 15-20 nits again. Let's pause here. The 4-star review is for the fee alone, because they can't simply guarantee it. They will try and do whatever it takes to ensure those bugs don't return though. I just regret not spending less and doing it myself for longer and with more body ache. It's not "their fault." It can be human error, me not cleaning enough at home or her ironically getting it again. At any rate, I treated her hair again on day 5 and will do another head check tonight (7 days later). I will do another follow up again as it suggests and then take her in for the free head check and discuss my findings. This place is GREAT for parents or caregivers grossed out by the fact that lice happens, have no clue how to combat it, or want a healthier option. It's not as recommended if you can do the same thing at home and are watching the cost factor. That is the reason for 4-stars. I could buy 3 packages of Rid and handle several hours each time and have saved lots of money in the end. This is not meant to be a negative review. Just forthcoming, with options. read more

Thank goodness for Lizzie's Lice Pickers!! I had a pretty bad case of headlice when I finally realized the cause of my itchiness. I was absolutely clueless about how to remove them. Thankfully I found this gem of a shop! The owner was very kind, understanding and answered any questions I had, educating me in the process. She took care of all my worries with one visit. This salon does head checks, sells DIY kits and offers a full head treatment. I would thoroughly recommend the full head treatment as lice and eggs can be very difficult to remove, especially if you're not familiar with the process. If they're not completely removed, the lice will continue to grow and spread! The full treatment includes an in-store combing/removal, an all-natural hair solution and nit comb to use at home and a follow-up appointment after the whole process. I really love that the shop is clean, kid-friendly and reasonably priced. Don't waste your time and money on useless over-the-counter products. Let a professional take care of you. In October my 6 year old daughter brought home lice. We treated it at home (a long, arduous process) and I picked out the eggs by hand. We THOUGHT we had gotten them all and had taken care of the infestation... Fast forward to December, and we are in the living room of my grandmother's house where I see about 10-15 eggs in her hair.
