If you're looking for cool live music off the beaten path, this is the place. I came here for the…read moreVindy's show in June and had a nice time. There is mostly standing room for the venue, with some tables on the main level and a small balcony level for tables. I think everything was still walk-up service at the bar for that night. I didn't get any food and only had water to drink (stay hydrated!), but it looked like a pretty expansive menu for drinks. I was a little wary about the immediate surrounding area, since the streets immediately around the venue were cobblestone. This made it kind of hard to walk, when it wasn't super well lit. I was also confused by the parking arrangement in the area, since it seemed like the garage had some access restriction and the parking around the backside of the building also had confusing signage. This is not a criticism of the business whatsoever, just an important note for the other aspects of your visit.

We had our wedding reception at Iron Works in September with about 180 guests, and we could not…read morehave been happier with how everything turned out! Amanda, the event coordinator, was amazing to work with from start to finish. She was incredibly helpful, met with us multiple times to make sure all the details were worked out, and went above and beyond to make our event exactly what we wanted. We loved that we were able to customize so much of the space and make it feel like our own. Amanda also worked closely with our wedding coordinator to handle setup, which made the entire process so easy for us. We were even able to borrow some of Iron Works'/Amanda's personal décor, which saved us money and the headache of having to purchase everything ourselves. She also helped us design an image for the video wall, which was such a cool feature to have displayed on the stage! The vibe of the venue was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted more of a fun wedding celebration/party rather than a traditional wedding reception, and Iron Works was perfect for that. We did not have a sit-down dinner, and instead had plenty of food, drinks, dancing, and time for everyone to hang out. The vast majority of our guests really seemed to love this style of celebration. We also found that we spent less than we would have at a more traditional wedding venue, while still having an amazing and memorable event. The audio was another huge highlight. Props to the audio team! It was so cool having our wedding at a venue that is designed for music. We had a DJ, and the sound was incredible. I think Iron Works would be especially awesome for anyone considering a live band. The bar staff was also fantastic -- super attentive, quick with drinks, and just had great vibes throughout the night. We did a consumption bar, which was a really nice option and gave us some additional flexibility. Setup and breakdown were also incredibly easy for us. Amanda and our wedding coordinator handled everything, so we really didn't have to worry about the logistics. We were also able to leave some things behind and pick them up the next day, which was a huge help after a long night of celebrating. Overall, we are thrilled that we chose Iron Works for our reception. The flexibility, atmosphere, staff, and ability to customize everything made it such a great fit for the type of celebration we wanted. We would absolutely recommend Iron Works to anyone looking for a wedding venue that feels a little less traditional and a lot more like a party. We're already looking for reasons to plan another event there!

It's literally just steps away from the KeyBank Center, making it an ideal pre-game spot. The beer selection is excellent, with tons of options to choose from. My favourite was the Raspberry Wheat, it was super refreshing and packed with flavour. The ladies behind the bar were also kind enough to let me try a couple of different samples before I made my decision, which is always appreciated. For food, I ordered the Blackened Chicken Sandwich. To be honest, it wasn't quite the style of blackened chicken I'm used to. It felt more like grilled chicken with Cajun seasoning than a true blackened preparation. That said, it was still a very enjoyable sandwich. The chicken was juicy, full of flavour, and not dry at all, and the bacon was cooked exactly the way I like it. The fries were nicely seasoned and paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere with plenty of seating and lots of TVs, including some absolutely massive screens, making it a great place to catch other games while enjoying a beer. Had the ENORMOUS pretzel of which our party of 8 all took a taste with pretzel left to spare. Other app's were the fried deviled eggs, knockout shrimp, of which they shrimp stole the show with 100% recommended and the eggs with only 50% of the table enjoying. We also had loaded fries, which were ok. All the app's looked great. Happy hour drinks according to my guests, were delicious and generous in size for $5 margarita. Entrees were enjoyed by all! We only had one issue with a steak being sent back because it was not cooked properly. Of which they corrected right away and refired the entire meal WITH sides not just the steak. I ordered the salmon with rice and green beans. It was cooked medium and had a sweet but Blackened taste. The top of the salmon was a bit tough but not so much that it retracted from the taste or texture overall. The sides complimented well. I really enjoyed it. We ordered HUGE triple play burgers...of which even the guys didn't finish , wings, THE PORK CHOP WAS TENDER AND DELICIOUS (Can you tell I wish I ordered that...stole from my guest's plate), Blackened Chicken and shrimp avocado salad. Everything was really good. Had the Carrot Cake for desert and it could easily be enjoyed by three people. Great flavor in a surprisingly wonderful presentation. Service was with a new waitress, but she was kind and did her best. Service was out of order at times. For stance, she left drinks sitting at the bar so long they started to get watered down instead of serving them when she noticed them and taking our order afterwards. But she'll learn as she goes. She has the most important things down...service with a smile. Food came out at a good pace. Allowed us to have great conversation and enjoy the appetizers. Manager delivered the refired steak and stayed to make sure it was cooked to preference before leaving the table. Ambiance was tavern-like. Wood chairs and tables, dim lighting, clean, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great for small or large groups. We also had no wait at 3:30pm on a Monday afternoon, which I was gratefu, especially for our group size. Check them out. We had a great time. Recommended!
