I believe the original owners were Cuban and now the new owners are Mexican (which I found weird). The layout of the store is basically the same but the staff is a little standoffish. The old staff was very helpful, suggestive and would offer recommendations, the new staff kind of sorta had an attitude the 2 times we drove 1000 miles from South Carolina to Union City NJ and were inquiring about new products, any services provided, etc. They just wanted us to hurry up, pay, and go. The products used to be first rate, I always get the camphor and anil tablets, a few oils, sprays, baths, incense, prepared candles, chime candles, crystals, sage sticks, statues, books, etc. Upon arriving home, we found out some of the oils had crystalized matter at the bottom of the bottles. They were OLD! I had to microwave the oils to try to dissolve the gunk on the bottom. Some of their prices are high but it's still a good old fashion botanica. I am grateful for all of the wonderful memories, advice, products, statues, rosaries, crystals that I have purchased here over a 14yr period.

G & G Distributors is a wholesale store where I've shopped for over 25 years. My partner and I managed to get an artificial Christmas cedar wreath and two cedar garlands for outdoors. They are getting a bit expensive, generic, and limited, but their quality is much better. I also like their white sage, and palo santo for smudging. The selection of herbs for various baths are put together, organized, and budget friendly, because quality herbs can be expensive.
