G & G Distributors is a wholesale store where I've shopped for over 25 years. Upon arrival, one would need to purchase a membership, a $5 one-day trial pass, or the $10 membership, which is good for 5 years, and need to have a "business" card. My partner and I managed to get an artificial Christmas cedar wreath and two cedar garlands for outdoors. They are getting a bit expensive, generic, and limited, but their quality is much better. This place has it all when it comes to floral supplies...faux flowers, moss, foam, blaring country music....I come here often and will always at some point in my visit find myself wandering the (albeit well-stocked and organized) aisle in a decibel induced delirium, confused about why I'm there and where the exit is located. Let me start with the fact that I am a tough customer. Also, I do not usually leave reviews, but this time I think it is warranted. I have placed online orders from many different companies and sometimes what I received was crappy. So, because I had not previously ordered from G&G and actually had not heard of them, I ordered what I consider to be a good sample of about 12 different products. I am a floral designer and need a variety of items to work with. So, here's the truth of my experience with G&G. I received my order within a week of placing it which is a good timeframe. When I opened the box I discovered that they had taken great care when packing the florals. I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. They were gorgeous! I was looking everywhere for feather butterflies for my wedding supplies... and found out about their website through following one of their Ebay product listing. Shipping is a flat $5.95 per order and there is a $30 minimum order. Butterflies are the cheapest I can find online (even cheaper than Oriental Trading Co) and they have a lot of varieties of butterflies and variety of sizes too. 2.5 Stars Borrowed a membership card from a coworker a while back, anyone can get in the door it seems but in order to purchase you need to be a member. We perused the aisles for a while and finally entered the flower section. The goal of the trip was to find silk flowers for our wedding and boy did we succeed! Picked up (6) bouquets of lovely red ranunculus flowers for about $14 apiece. Quality and color was great. I was able to combine two into one large bridal bouquet for myself and tied all of them with twine to hide the stems. Bouquet held up beautifully throughout the entire day and even months later a couple bridesmaids still have the bouquets in their apartments. Mine is currently sitting on our dining room table in a mason jar and more than a couple people have touched them convinced they were real. The warehouse of course is huge, and they have a TON of materials for anything you need for your wedding or party. But the whole place felt really dingy, I know it's a warehouse but it was cold and dark and dirty in appearance. The outside is no better, nasty yellow paint on the outside made me think twice about venturing inside. Ultimately I'm glad we went but I doubt I'll ever go back. read more

This is a great place to shop on-line. The site is fast loading and well organized. Once you have created an order it is available to check for updates, correspondence, and shipping status. This is our 5th year coming to this store and I can't express enough how disappointed we are to see a sign that children are not allowed in the store, we looked forward to our yearly visit to this store with my son, who would help us pick ornaments for our Christmas tree. It's pretty weak that this is now a thing, when the ones that shouldn't be allowed in are your rude workers who don't really help anyone, if there's unruly children in the store one of these employees can simply asked them to relax but since the employees are not helpful or friendly this would never happen. I truly hope the owners reconsider this, otherwise we will have to find a different Christmas shopping place! read more

Worst place ever.. I'm a single mom with a baby a 10 month old that was asleep in his stroller and they wouldn't allow me in. They told me to stand outside in 90 degree weather. Employee called me a bitch because I told her to get the owner and it's not on their website. This is no "80 year" policy it was just introduced this year because of COVID. You expect a little infant to infect your whole store ???? ASLEEP ?!?! No. So I had to wait outside in 90 degree with my son super hot waiting for an Uber. Everything from ribbons to floral, vases, candles, seasonal decorations. The seasonal Christmas shop is like a fairytale wonderland. I've been in business for over 15 years - buying their shopping and gift bags, organza pouches, tissue, ribbon and seasonal decorations. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE RETURN POLICY. This is not a retail store - it's a wholesale supplier. Mostly I go to the store to select my items (because my office is nearby) but have recently started ordering items online and they arrived in perfect condition and the shipping was moderate. Prices are much better than retailers (Costco, Michaels). I recommend them to everyone - great for big school or church projects too! read more

I've used this place often ... firstly, in response to the bad customer service: I ask for what I want, I'm told where to go and they are usually correct. It's a warehouse/wholesaler - don't expect consultations from the staff on what would look best for your event. They have gone out of their way more than once to order items they no longer have in stock, more over... have gone out of their way to explain certain items and caution against misuse of others. I really do not expect the staff to be more helpful. If I expect more from their customer service, then its time for me to go to Nordstroms/Saks or Neimans. I'm a bit of a professional... people use me for my ideas. I just need to look around, see what I need and make my own decisions. If I don't find it... THEN I ask for help and generally, unless they are completely new or my accent is too heavy for them to understand, they will guide me in the right direction. Secondly - with regard to some of the merchandise being chintzy... err... it carries goods intended for (usually) one occasion. Unless you're willing to pay for the good stuff... most it if is going to fall apart. And lastly... the prices are good. Generally, with the exception of a few items, their prices are lower than most other outlets, including "wholesale clubs" and Party City. On my last purchase I saved 33% from the lowest price I found online for the item. Am I happy? Yes. Would I use them again? Yes. How long have I been using them? Gosh... over 25 years (at least). They sell all sorts of party supplies, ribbons, wrapping paper, vases, decorations, and fake flowers. When you arrive, don't be put off by the "to the trade only" signs. Basically, they operate like Costco, where you have to buy a "membership" for a reasonable price ($10? $20? I can't remember), then you can buy anything you want. The last time I went there, I was looking to purchase some Christmas decorations for a tree, ribbon, garlands, etc. A family member has a florist store and a membership at G&G. So I make use of her card every now and then. Their selection is enormous. You could literally spend your entire day browsing. There are some nice items to be bough. But there are quite a few chintzy items. Don't expect some amazing customer service or superb quality. If that's what you're looking for, you are in the wrong place. Go to Neiman Marcus, Pottery Barn or Pier 1 Imports instead. The manager can be quite obnoxious. Don't pay her much attention. Make sure you keep an eye on her while she counts your items and inputs the quantity in her computer. Also, note that they charge a 20% restocking fee on ALL returns and exchanges. A lot of the items (including all flowers) are non-returnable. I assume they don't want "DYI brides on a budget" using the flowers for a day or two and then returning them. read more

I've both visited the store and ordered on-line and it's true what they say about customer service - in the store itself, the "workers" on the floor couldn't be nicer or more helpful, but the staff in the office act suspicious, bordering on rude. You've got to watch them if you order on-line - if they don't have items in stock - either sold out or on back order - they charge you for them anyhow and show them on the packing slip. You actually have to call them to get a credit back for the unavailable items. Best case this is bad accounting practice, worse case it's theft. The selection and prices are pretty good - kind of a mix of quality so if you're unsure and can go into the store to look first it's worth it since their return policy is not so good. I've noticed that their packaging both for online shipments and in the store is cheap and they jam as much as they can into each box so you end up with squished items. For on-line ordering I've had better luck with AFloral and SaveOnCrafts. read more

Charged me for the large order of silk flowers for my wedding. And THEN decided that they weren't going to ship it. The first reason was because shipping and billing address didn't match. I explained that I am the bride, shipping the flowers to my maid of honor. I get an e-mail 2 days later saying that my order had been cancelled. This time when I call, they cite that it's because of paypal. Horrible experience. If they weren't going to ship them, they shouldn't have charged.
