It's been a minute and I think my fav HG in the area needs an update. I've been shopping here for several years now and I have to say the folks who are running this store are doing it well. The shelves are stocked, the floor is clear and clean, the line (especially on a Saturday afternoon) moves quickly. This location has consistently been one of my favs to shop for picture frames - double sided aisle and color coded.. it's like walking through a rainbow some days. The seasonal decor, right by the entrance is always stocked - whether planters in the spring/summer, ghosts and pumpkins in the fall, or baubles and felts garlands in the winter. And if you're ever in need of a white dish for a dinner party they allllways seem to have a aisle full of white dishes. Lately there are plenty of shopping carts hanging about, which is nice. Parking is still a disaster, but that's not necessarily HG's fault... still recommend shopping earlier in the day or parking closer to Stop & Shop. read more

OMG I LOVE HOMEGOODS!!! Where do I begin? They have everything you need for your home: furniture, rugs, bedding, bathroom necessities, kitchen necessities, decorations, food, even stuff for your dog (and possibly for cats, too)!!! This home goods is big and has really great finds. I am always able to find something great here and their diversity in items is well appreciated. However, this place is always crowded and the parking lot can be quite packed due to the location of the store being shopping central! (Right next to Willowbrook Mall). However, they have ample parking spaces in the shared lot and always plenty of sales associates on the registers to provide efficient checkouts. read more

I've never heard of having to pay to hold an item for a customer. Understanding it's 30mins before the store closes and you want to ring in as much sales to make there KPI but this is just ridiculous. read more

I love this homegoods! It's a pretty decent size and they carry more furniture than other locations. This is one of those stores no matter what I go in for, I can guarantee I'll come out with about ten other things I had no intention of getting. Who doesn't love discounted home decor and kitchenware! They have everything! I always find cute little decorations and gifts here. I think they layout is pretty neat and it's easy to get around. I usually avoid these stores on the weekends and peak hours because the lines can be crazy long and it's hard to shop with so many people so I usually go early on my days off during the week. Wow, I'm usually a little hesitant with stores like this... You know, the stores where you have to have the time and patience to search for those hidden gems, but I was pleasantly surprised with how organized and clean everything looked! It definitely was not what I typically expect to walk to when I visit these types of stores! I will definitely be back when I buy a house! read more

I tried to return a item to this store that I purchased just a few days earlier with my credit card. Inadvertently grabbed the gift receipt instead of the regular receipt. The clerk flatly told me she could not issue a refund to my credit card -only a store credit. I asked to speak to the manager, same flat response of "sorry, store policy". I told the manager i have the regular receipt at home, please don't make me have to come back and wait on another long line. The response? "Nope, can't help you, sorry". Needless to say I returned later with the regular receipt. My gripe is that I don't understand why I can't return an item for a refund to my credit card with a gift receipt and credit card and proper ID in hand. Is it that Home Goods lacks the technology that other stores have? Or was it just the manager's unwillingness to help? According to the manager's own words it was not that she was unwilling to assist but rather that "their computer system doesn't store purchase information" - which I find hard to believe. Either way, they lost themselves a customer! read more

Sales/cashiers like one that has been working there for three years know the routine and dealt with discounting an item that was damaged by 10% right away and I felt treated like I mattered and they respected my opinion on the poorly made piece of over priced furniture. When the manager was asked to step into the picture they went against my opinion of what was damaged and began to contradict all the flaws I noted on the piece of furniture. With this said the manager then said something to the young cashier out of my hearing distance that caused her to become teary eyed. Ridiculous ! Over a price of furniture?? She quickly composed herself and was as professional as she could be. The manager interrupted and said that since the cashier said 10% could be taken off the price and not the managers $15. $30 off over $15 is and was fair just wished the manager would have treated the staff in a less harsh way so that his staff would not tear up from a reprimand. Store has plenty to chose from and was clean and neat but the manager has a long way to go in the interpersonal skills department. read more

This HomeGoods should be rated 3.5. I love the store. I love the items. It can be disorganized at times. The clearance items are normally stacked and thrown on shelves. The floor associates are super nice and helpful. The cashiers on the other hand are not. This is why it is rated the way it is. I have had questions about merchandise and packaging (not in the clearance section) and asked if the price could be discounted because it was the last item and the packaging was destroyed. The cashier seemed very nervous to ask the person who would make the decision (manager? she never introduced herself and was not wearing a name tag). She told me that it would be a minute because the (other) lady was on the phone. I graciously waited. She ended up saying no discount because the item was not damaged even though the packaging was. I was alright with that answer. You don't know if you don't ask. Then, a month later, I found a great side table marked down in the clearance section for $22. I was so happy, but I was even more happy when I found the SAME EXACT table in another section, only discounted for $29. I looked over both pieces to see if they had the same defects or if the table for $22 was damaged in some way. It turns out that the table for $22 looked a little better. So, after finding a few other items that I loved (but didn't necessarily need), I went to check out. It just so happened that the same woman who made the decision about the previous item I bought, happened to be my cashier (the perfect person to ask my question to, still don't know if she's the manager or not, still no name tag). So, of course I pointed out that the side tables were the EXACT SAME item and if I could get both of them for $22 each. She looked at the tag and then looked at a piece of paper on the wall behind her and smirked. She told me that the $22 table went through one more clearance cycle than the other one. I just looked at her. She then elaborated and said that the $22 table came in in November and the other one came in December. I kindly told her that I would not be taking the $29 table (bought a different one for $25). I may have also said (under my breath) that it was silly to pay more for a table that was the SAME EXACT one that cost less. I'm alright with the answer, I just think it's a little silly to charge two different prices for the same exact item (both on clearance). read more

I went here and got something that was on clearance for $15.00. When I went to check out the cashier said it was the wrong price tag on it (even tho I got it from the clearance section and it was the only one in the whole store) and said don't worry, I'll call the manager over and he's really fair-he'll take care of you. The manager comes over and goes "Sorry it's the wrong price tag and brand new so I can't offer you anything- it's $29.99" And I was like "Well could you at least offer me 10% off or something? It's not my fault one of your employees put the wrong price tag on it/put it in the clearance section. You say it's brand new but it was the only one in that color/style and furthermore I got it in your clearance section! I know when that's happened to me another time at a different Home Goods they gave me 10% off bc of it.. Could you atleast do something like that for me?" then the manager responded by saying "Well that other Home Goods shouldn't have done that as that is not our policy.. You either want it for full price or you don't" The cashier I could tell was mortified because she just told me 2 seconds prior how nice and fair the store manager is and how he'd take care of me.. Needless to say, I will NEVER go here again! You just lost a lifetime customer who spends hundreds of dollars every couple of months if not more at your business all over 10% off which would have amounted in $3 off of the price tag. It's about the principle of it all! I have a bachelors in business and nothing irritates me more then poor customer service! read more
