I agreed to show up 8/27/18. I worked 2 days for Mike Robbins the owner at Lawns R US on 8/27-8/28/2018. I was never paid for my work as an employee of his on supposed payroll. It's been almost 3 months, No check or mailed paycheck or phone call to come pick it up. I left after 2 days of work because of how he talked to his employees and he didn't believe his 4 employees telling him that the driver didn't hit anything. I also got bad vibes when I didn't receive any paperwork to sign about starting wages and job title. I wasn't going to keep working for someone who verbally said $12 an hour and not produce paper trail. Now I have to file a claim with labor board because my stomach feeling was right to quit my job at lawns r us. So after posting a review Mike magically found my number to issue my wages. Took almost 3 months. He said the check got returned with no evidence and put different working dates.

The job involved a very big, unlandscaped backyard that needed a lot of love. Bonafacio checked in with us daily; sometimes multiple times a day to make sure everything was going as scheduled. They landscaped with crushed rock, wood chips and larger rocks to create dry creek beds and laid out our beautiful sod lawn, complete with sprinkler system. They also planted trees and numerous plants with drip line irrigation. They enlarged our existing patio with matching, stamped concrete. They are also on retainer to mow and edge both of our lawns, which they did a wonderful job on. We appreciate all they did for us!!!

From the first consultation to the final walk-through, the entire experience was outstanding. Jeremy, the owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. His communication was truly exceptional - every phone call and text was returned immediately and he was always available to answer questions or talk through ideas. Jeremy has a fantastic eye for design. He came up with a beautiful vision for our space and picked the perfect gravel colors, plants and layout to suit our home and the environment. Every element feels intentional, and the results are both striking and harmonious. The transformation exceeded our expectations! Even better the job was completed much faster than we anticipated and came in exactly on budget - no surprises, and no stress. The crew was professional, respectful, and tidy throughout the process. We've received so many compliments from neighbors and friends, and we smile every time we pull into the driveway. If you're looking for a landscaping company, that is professional, creative, reliable, and a joy to work with, we highly recommend Blue Moon Landscape. They truly went above and beyond!!!

He listened to our ideas and answered questions. From the first meeting, Jeremy told us they were booked out about 6 months, but since we contacted them in January, that was not a problem for us. The estimate, with a detailed scope of the work, was provided to us very quickly. We were notified about a month in advance of starting the project that they expected to begin in late June. It was always easy to reach Jeremy. When I had a question that required another site inspection, he made it happen at my convenience. We are delighted with the result. They were very professional, easy to work with, started when they said they would, were considerate of our property and neighbors, cleaned everything up, took the micro-climates in our back yard into consideration when selecting plants, and took the time to make sure everything was expertly finished. We could not be more pleased and highly recommend Blue Moon Landscape.

Mike's Yard Care was supposed to fix a leak in the sprinkler system of the house we bought. The…read moreprevious owner had paid them and they were supposed to fix it. After we moved in, I found there was still a leak, so Mike's, who had been paid to fix it, was called to come back out and fix it. Mike came out and looked at it and promised to come back the next day and fix it. He did not show up. A few days later I texted him and he said that he forgot about me. He then promised to come fix it "in a day or two." Several days later he did send a guy out to dig a little around the box. That guy said that his boss would be out the next day to fix it. He didn't show and he didn't call or text. After 3 or 4 days I sent him a text. His reply after stringing me along for two weeks was, "Sorry for the inconvenience, you are going to have to find someone else." I was and still am incredulous. I cannot imagine anybody treating customers that way, let alone walking away from a job like that. I did find an excellent company who came out and did the job, no thanks to Mike's. One star is too high, I wish there was an option for zero stars for Mike's Yard Sevice. They are terrible, DO NOT hire Mike's Yard Care for anything.

So, if you are looking for great landscaping materials at competitive (and better prices) and folks who care, go to FOCAL POINT...and no, we are not related but we would adopt Logan if we could. I will start by saying I am devastated to have to give such a poor review of a local company…read more My family and I have always used Focal Point. In the past few years something has changed. I had family members stop using them as they claimed the yards delivered were consistently short. Due to their customer service and family nature- I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Long story short- I ordered 3/4 "clean" black chip in the quantity of 2 yards. It showed up and while it looked rather blue and light- I was told it was black chip rock. Despite my reservations I accepted it and moved on. A mere 4 days later- I ordered an additional yard of the exact same product to the front area adjacent. It showed up and was a COMPLETELY different color. We are talking a 30-50% variance in color, not a natural variance as they kept reiterating on the phone. Upon checking their website- we were absolutely delivered sierra blue rock the first go around. Rather than owning their mistake- I received a call back from the owner insisting he was right and giving me the riot act of excuses. He also mentioned another house he had botched with 5 yards of material and told me "the bad review wasnt worth fixing it." This was after speaking to the wife and repeatedly being asked "well what do you want us to do about it." I finally got the husband to agree to give me the weekend and "drop off some buckets of the lighter color to mix in if your still unhappy" I gave it the weekend, and rinsed the rock several times as instructed by the owner despite ordering "clean" rock. It did nothing, its absolutely the wrong rock. Upon calling- I was now told despite the rinsing and giving it the weekend and texting pictures of what is CLEARLY a different rock. A refund was the best they would do and I needed to drive down there to get it. Not only that, but the delivery would NOT be refunded, because "that happened." No buckets of rock, no replacement yard, no offer to pick up their mistake. In fact, during the refund the owner said "I really dont think i should do this" to imply they still werent wrong. I really hope YELP allows me to post a photo after this to show you all how distasteful the lack of ownership was. USE SUTHERLAND DESPITE THEIR FLAWS.
