The job involved a very big, unlandscaped backyard that needed a lot of love. Bonafacio checked in with us daily; sometimes multiple times a day to make sure everything was going as scheduled. They landscaped with crushed rock, wood chips and larger rocks to create dry creek beds and laid out our beautiful sod lawn, complete with sprinkler system. They also planted trees and numerous plants with drip line irrigation. They enlarged our existing patio with matching, stamped concrete. They are also on retainer to mow and edge both of our lawns, which they did a wonderful job on. We appreciate all they did for us!!!

I never heard from him again even after calling a second time. I can only assume that the job was too big for him to handle or he wasn't interested. In business, communication is very important. Too bad this guy doesn't think so. His failure to communicate can only damage his reputation.

They put in plants we didn't even pick out. We were told them would put down weed preventer before finishing our front yard and it's now full of weeds. We had to reach out to them most every week to see if they are were going to show up for work that day. Very frustrating and we ended up going with someone else to complete our front yard who had it done in two weeks. Wouldn't recommend them unless you don't care when the work is completed.

I was recommended Hanson & Hanson from a family member. I have seen the work they do and Hanson &…read moreHanson does good work. However, they are very unprofessional. I received a quote from them and approved for them to do the work. Brian said he could fit me in between jobs and my job would be no problem. I got the quote in April 2019 and Brian stated it would be done by July 2019. At the end of July I called and he stated they were swamped, however, the work would be done by October. Well October came and gone and the job was not even started. No call...ZERO communication. The only communication was when I called him. This April 2020 I get a call asking me if I still wanted work done. I told the receptionist I wanted part of the bid completed since I had done some of the work myself. She stated great Brian will call you to set a date. Guess what? Brian never called. I called back twice and talked with the receptionist and no call back from Brian. I would not recommend this company. Poor communication and unprofessional.

They had come out the afternoon before to give us an estimate, after having just spoken to me on the phone that morning. They gave me a reasonable bid and offered to do the work the very next day. At the agreed upon time of 8:30, they promptly began the work. They did everything they promised and then some. I was raking more leaves on my property and they told me that they would do it for me. They not only completed the contracted work, but used a blower to clean all of the leaves around our chicken coop, trees and driveway, then raked them up and hauled everything away. My husband and I were working on moving top soil to our front yard by wheelbarrow and they offered to use their Bobcat to distribute the dirt for us at no extra cost. That kind gesture saved me a lot of time as well as my back! I highly recommend this wonderful family business to everyone who needs tree service and yard clean-up work. Diana F.

I recently came across a public Facebook exchange involving this business and found the response…read morefrom the page highly unprofessional. When a customer or commenter pushed back lightly on a political claim, the business replied with personal insults about the person's appearance and weight. That kind of language has no place in customer-facing communication. It reflects poorly on the nursery, damages trust, and makes potential customers question whether they want to support a business that handles disagreement this way. Suggestion: Keep public comments focused on the topic, stay civil even when challenged, and avoid personal attacks. Professionalism in online interactions is part of the customer experience. A simple, measured reply would have been far more effective and would have protected the business's reputation. --- This stays factual, points out the specific problem, and offers a clear improvement without insults or exaggeration. After we moved in, I found there was still a leak, so Mike's, who had been paid to fix it, was called to come back out and fix it. Mike came out and looked at it and promised to come back the next day and fix it. He did not show up. A few days later I texted him and he said that he forgot about me. He then promised to come fix it "in a day or two." Several days later he did send a guy out to dig a little around the box. That guy said that his boss would be out the next day to fix it. He didn't show and he didn't call or text. After 3 or 4 days I sent him a text. His reply after stringing me along for two weeks was, "Sorry for the inconvenience, you are going to have to find someone else." I was and still am incredulous. I cannot imagine anybody treating customers that way, let alone walking away from a job like that. I did find an excellent company who came out and did the job, no thanks to Mike's. One star is too high, I wish there was an option for zero stars for Mike's Yard Sevice. They are terrible, DO NOT hire Mike's Yard Care for anything.

Mixed Experience - Kind Crew, But Lacking in Execution…read more I hired Abe's Yard Clean-Up for a large garden project and appreciated that the quote supported a small crew of respectful, hard-working young men. They were courteous and professional in demeanor, which I valued. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not match the price. Several areas of my yard were left uncleared, trimmings were not cleaned up, and there was little attention paid to garden features like solar lights. I requested a return visit to address what was missed, which they did--but the initial lack of detail was disappointing. Most frustrating was when a shovel of soil was tossed over my koi pond, leaving it full of dirt. I had to spend hours restoring the water quality myself. I do have photos documenting the issues. Overall, the experience was a mix--good intentions, kind workers, but a lack of follow-through and care in execution. I hope they grow from this, as they clearly have potential with better oversight.
