The job involved a very big, unlandscaped backyard that needed a lot of love. Bonafacio checked in with us daily; sometimes multiple times a day to make sure everything was going as scheduled. They landscaped with crushed rock, wood chips and larger rocks to create dry creek beds and laid out our beautiful sod lawn, complete with sprinkler system. They also planted trees and numerous plants with drip line irrigation. They enlarged our existing patio with matching, stamped concrete. They are also on retainer to mow and edge both of our lawns, which they did a wonderful job on. We appreciate all they did for us!!!

I never heard from him again even after calling a second time. I can only assume that the job was too big for him to handle or he wasn't interested. In business, communication is very important. Too bad this guy doesn't think so. His failure to communicate can only damage his reputation.

After we moved in, I found there was still a leak, so Mike's, who had been paid to fix it, was called to come back out and fix it. Mike came out and looked at it and promised to come back the next day and fix it. He did not show up. A few days later I texted him and he said that he forgot about me. He then promised to come fix it "in a day or two." Several days later he did send a guy out to dig a little around the box. That guy said that his boss would be out the next day to fix it. He didn't show and he didn't call or text. After 3 or 4 days I sent him a text. His reply after stringing me along for two weeks was, "Sorry for the inconvenience, you are going to have to find someone else." I was and still am incredulous. I cannot imagine anybody treating customers that way, let alone walking away from a job like that. I did find an excellent company who came out and did the job, no thanks to Mike's. One star is too high, I wish there was an option for zero stars for Mike's Yard Sevice. They are terrible, DO NOT hire Mike's Yard Care for anything.

We are so pleased with the excellent service we received from Scott and all his crew at McMillan…read moreTree Service! A great price, as the job was difficult since it was an extremely tall redwood tree in a narrow area between two houses with another house off to the side. The guys methodically removed the tree skirt (hey, I am a lay person who doesn't know the terms), then did the precision cuts in safe increments. Their method ensured that the logs fell into a prescribed area to save our nearby old crepe myrtle and Rose of Sharon trees from collateral damage. He also miraculously avoided cracking the pavement when the heavy crane was in position. We can't say the same for another local company we used who charged us extra for a platform to supposedly avoid cracks and they wrecked our walkway. Not so with McMillan's crew ... they ROCKED this job! And when on Day 2 the wind would have put the crew at risk, the owner called it off and notified us when they would return to ensure his crew was safe and our other trees weren't at risk because they would lack the needed control of the falling cut wood. We were impressed at his safety measures. Also, they courteously cleaned up after themselves with blowing all of our back and front yard where they had the chipper and trailer stationed at times. It all looks great. We were sad to see the beautiful redwood go, but we're thrilled at the job the entire crew did and the owner, Scott, was great to work with for sure. We 100% recommend McMillan Tree Service.

I called re the over charge, he said was for using my credit card, reminded him he agreed to four fifty and use the card. They used my ladder and left it laying in the yard, it's very heavy. Jonathan said he would cut the wood in 16 inch lengths, but only cut up some of it. Cleanup was shoddy and they left my gate open, would I hire him again, no. Would not recommend his service, nor recommend using this site when in need of help. Very disappointed, but they got the tree down.

Anyone that can't even be bothered to respond or admit that they're too busy shouldn't provide services. Very disappointing.

It's been almost 3 months, No check or mailed paycheck or phone call to come pick it up. I left after 2 days of work because of how he talked to his employees and he didn't believe his 4 employees telling him that the driver didn't hit anything. I also got bad vibes when I didn't receive any paperwork to sign about starting wages and job title. I wasn't going to keep working for someone who verbally said $12 an hour and not produce paper trail. Now I have to file a claim with labor board because my stomach feeling was right to quit my job at lawns r us. So after posting a review Mike magically found my number to issue my wages. Took almost 3 months. He said the check got returned with no evidence and put different working dates.
