I had to ship a car from Chicago to Boston and after my experience with this company I cannot…read morerecommend them enough. I chose the shipping company based on reviews alone and the price being under $1,000 for my tank of an SUV was just a bonus. My first positive with this company is that unlike many of the more popular companies across the US, they are not just a broker and they actually hire and employ their own drivers, so they actually know the person who is delivering your car. This company also did such an amazing job with communication. Not only did they call and text me with updates but when I did call I mostly talked to the same person and they knew my info with just my name and number. Also, I gave them the contact of the agent at the dealership where they picked up from and they communicated beautifully with them as well. Lastly, my car arrived beyond earlier than expected and without a scratch on it! The car was picked up on Tuesday so I didn't expect it to arrive until the weekend or early the next week, but my car was dropped off early Friday morning and the driver called me himself when he was about 45 minutes away and called me again when he arrived to arrange the drop-off. Not to mention that I live in the inner city and the delivery driver unloaded the car like a true professio I can't recommend this company enough, thank you USA Auto Transport of Chicago!

I thought the price was more than fair, and less than I expected. They work with you on every detail front the pricing, to the pickup and timing of delivery, communicating back & forth with the driver and keeping the customer informed of the status. Similar to a moving van, there's a window of time for pickup/delivery but they coordinate it all with you. I love the attention to detail and REALLY appreciate that the goal is to ensure the customer knows what's going on at every step. The pricing was "all inclusive" with no hidden fees which I also really appreciate. Sounds like they're based out of Chicago but can handle business from anywhere in the country which is awesome. It's nice to know I can use them for the return trip as well. This interaction exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend using Lightning Car Transport for your transportation needs!! These guys work really hard and are dedicating to providing a stress-free interaction and ensuring the customer is happy. Thanks for your help Matt.

After visiting my Father in Utah, I saw that his place could use a few things. First off, he was…read moreusing the same plates that I ate out of as a teenager and the furniture in his game room was outdated. So as a surprise, my brother and I wanted to get him some newer furniture, a new set of dishes, and some giant candle holders to display around his pool. I shopped for everything in Chicago, got it organized and then I wanted a mover to ship it all together instead of each company shipping it separately. Plus, the leather couch that my brother & I got for him was from a furniture company that didn't offer out of state shipping. So I had no choice with that one. When I called Chicago cross country, I spoke with Joseph who was very down to earth. Over the phone I listed the furniture and everything else I was shipping. I told him that I wanted to time it out as a surprise if possible and he said he could definitely do that. I then called two other companies to compare on when they could start, estimation on when things would be delivered, and of course the price. Cross country outmatched the others, so I booked them. Two days later I met the movers, Patrick was one name I remember and the other guy, I don't recall his name. But it was two movers and they both were very nice & worked fast! I wasn't sure how to pack the pool-side lanterns I bought, so I had the movers pack them, along with everything else. They did it without a problem and asked me if they should take their shoes off when they got to my place. It's the little things, like asking that I care about it Everything arrived in Ogden, Utah yesterday and I was called me when the truck was an hour away from delivery. This part was important to me because I wanted to call my Dad before everything arrived so he wouldn't be alarmed with a big delivery haha. It ended up being a great surprise thanks to this company!!

Overall the service was close to advertised, but missed the mark in some important ways…read more They did an assessment of my moving needs, quoted a price and ended up delivering 90% of my stuff intact. Bikes, TVs, computers were all fine and well insulated. Be aware that it might actually take the full 21 days to get to you. Day 5, our stuff made it to CA from Chicago, but took an additional 15 days to make it up to Seattle from CA so your mileage may vary. We had planned on 14-15 days (two weeks) and so ended up having to buy a bunch of new stuff to be comfortable while waiting the additional two weeks. The problem lies with whomever they contracted out to do the final leg of the delivery. We had 30-40 boxes and they all appeared to at least have been tracked in some way into some sort of storage. However the team that delivered did not actually track each box when they pulled it out of storage. Additionally they filled in "delivered" sections on their own without me fully seeing and filling out that portion myself. I will probably not end up suing this service again in the future as waiting 2 weeks and then having random boxes go missing for the price paid is pretty unacceptable. Insurance covers some of it but it's still annoying playing the "what random stuff will I have to replace" game =(

Instead, Montway arrived with an open trailer without disclosing this beforehand, transported the vehicle to New Jersey, and left it at a facility for 8 days!!!--something we were also never told would happen. Communication throughout the process was astonishingly terrible given their reviews online. We later learned from the supervisor Lily that the original carrier had missed the pickup, yet Montway never notified us. I repeatedly requested updates and calls from supervisors that never came. The supervisor Lily ultimately acknowledged that mistakes had been made and that we had been misled regarding both the transportation arrangements and delivery timeframe. She also acknowledged that she was going to do everything in her power to assist in a refund, but the vehicle would need to be delivered first; which made zero sense. The vehicle was finally delivered on September 14, nearly three weeks after booking. After delivery, Lily with Montway told us she was working on a 50% refund, despite everything that occurred. They ultimately did not issue even that refund; their offer $100 credit..... and we declined. Lily said, it was the best they could do... The best thing THEY could have done was do the right thing considering the mistake after mistake after mistake they made. Between the undisclosed open transport and storage, significant delays, lack of communication, misleading information, and failure to honor even their proposed partial refund, this was a horrible and unacceptable experience. I would not trust Montway with a high-value vehicle EVER again.
