I've used this company 4-5 times before, but this last experience was as bad as it gets. Arno, the owner, confirmed pickup for Oct 15 or 16 with delivery in 3-4 days. On the 14th he promised pickup on the 15th. Nothing happened. On the 16th, after I had to follow up, the car was finally picked up. Over the next five days, I sent two texts to Arno and one to the driver--not excessive--because no one was giving me any updates. Instead of doing his job, Arno ignored my messages and then sent a rude, childish text saying "everyone's fed up with you." I called to speak with him, no answer. left a voicemail, no answer. sent another text asking for him to call me, no answer. The driver, unlike Arno, was polite. He apologized and said he'd been waiting on dispatch (Arno) for info. I also learned from the original driver that a different driver would do final delivery--something Arno never bothered to tell me. Was it annoying that delivery was late? Yes, but it happens and I was willing to understand. Just don't accept his rude comments. The truth is simple: Arno dropped the ball, avoided me, and tried to deflect in order to cover it up. Terrible communication, zero accountability, and complete disrespect to a repeat customer. Not trustworthy. Not professional. Not smart. EDIT: I changed this to a 2 star review because ownership reached out to me, took accountability and genuinely seemed concerned about my experience. Offered to work directly with her if I decided to use their services again to avoid another communication issue with Arno. I may consider it after my last respectful exchange with the owner. read more

SDR focuses on auto transport between the greater Chicago area and Florida. Their pricing is competitive and shipment times are good. The one serious shortcoming is communication. Once your car has been "scheduled" you may not hear from your driver until 2 or 3 hours before pickup-- regardless of when you were scheduled. Currently the schedule only designates the day of pick up, not the time. They could greatly improve customer satisfaction by adding a time window to the pickup schedule and communicating any changes to that schedule. Similar attention to the delivery timing with communication on any changes is also necessary. read more

I booked a vehicle shipping service through Marvel Auto Transport who assigned my vehicle to be shipped by SDR Group Inc. During loading the driver ripped two tires on the ramp that had sticking metal pieces. Also the bumper was scratched. They refused to take any liability for the damages caused and the fact that I had to pay $1500 for new tires! Terrible service, terrible experience and will not recommend them to anyone. This company transported a Land Rover I purchased from Florida to my home. The dealership assured me there was no damage to the vehicle upon leaving the dealership. When it arrived, the black wheel was scraped and the low profile tire has scrapes and puncture marks. These are VERY expensive to repair, and despite noting the damage on the BOL, SDR didn't return my calls until I posted a negative review. Once they saw the post, I did get a return call and they mailed me a check for the repair. So, I have amended this review to be four stars. They should have called and made it right without needed a social post to prompt it, but in the end they did make it right. For that reason, I gave them 4 stars. read more

June 30, 2022 1414, Michael, USDOT 2845863, MC954143 West bound on 64. Only thing we can think of that caused this driver to do the following is us following the posted construction speed limits: Cuts off car in left lane to pass our car. Cuts in front of us with a few feet worth of car transporter coming right at us trying to force us off the road so we have to slam on brakes. Proceeds to slow down and weave within and out of right lane. After a few seconds we attempt to pass. Driver cuts into left lane as we pass trying to again force us off the road forcing us to slam on brakes. As we approach 57 N on-ramp where a second lane is available we again go to pass. Driver then starts to cut into our lane but thankfully doesn't commit. As we pass he was yelling and gesturing out his window. This was extremely negligent and dangerous. I have the above info including his face in the video I recorded as we were able to move around this dangerous and unstable driver. Actions like this often result in catastrophic consequences. There was no interaction with this driver prior to him trying to drive us off the road except he was 1 car behind us as we were following posted speed limits. I am more than willing to speak to someone from this company about this incident. read more

The quote was a under many big companies and they seemed very trustworthy, so we decided to go with them. BEWARE: NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND WILL SCREW YOU OVER. I just spoke to Arnel, who is the owner. He was the biggest a**hole I've ever spoken to. So unprofessional, rude, yelling, etc. I spoke to him because they transported my Porsche 911 from IL to FL, and when I drove it 1 mile from my home, the axel snapped in half. When I took it to the mechanic, they stated that it was due to how the car was transported. They have seen this kind of issue before, and advised to contact the transport company, as they should have insurance to cover for the cost of repair ($2,394.55). Arnel stated that they are not responsible for any mechanical issues, but I advised that the mechanical issue was due to how the car was transported. He said that was impossible, and began yelling, cursing, and hung up the phone. I've already retained legal counsel since they are refusing to take responsibility for something that was clearly their fault. They will most definitely pay up either the nice way or the legal way.
