They loaded the truck in 40 minutes and were done unloading at the new place within the next hour. All the furniture was wrapped well and they also brought some wardrobe boxes to use for my clothes. I ended up buying my own tape and had some large plastic wrap, so there were no extra costs at the end. I would highly suggest you use these guys!!

To my surprise, nothing went wrong! I arrived with my movers at the freight terminal, was set up to load in about 5 minutes, and my cube arrived in my driveway on the west coast ahead of schedule. No leaks, no damage, no fuss, and delivery and haul away were both very fast and easy. Would use again.

When the trailer arrived at my destination it seemed like a bomb went off in the trailer and it was flipped over multiple times. Desks had screws completely screwed off and the legs flipped around, outdoor patio table is cracked, plastic boxes are cracked and glass items that we triple bubble wrapped were broken as if someone took a hammer to them. No explanation for any of the damage, and the best Upack can do is offer me "10 cents per pound"... that is a slap in the face and we are disputing the entire charge with our credit card. Even if the full delivery fee is refunded it won't cover the cost of the damage to my belongings. Highly recommend you spend the extra money for a more reputable company.

LDM is not an all inclusive moving company. They are a company that unabashedly lies about being…read moresuch, and offering services that they could offer if they were such, because they know that's the product you want to buy. Making the sale is more important than having the thing to sell. I was taken in by it, paid a rate there is no way I would have otherwise paid, to companies I would never have knowingly dealt with, thinking I was buying peace of mind, and ended up wrecking my peace of mind during the move, as well as a few rather liked possessions. If you think you've finally found a lower risk moving company, you haven't. Maybe at least try to go with a more up front and honest one. On communication: My move sales person was actually fairly available, and quick to update my inventory sheet. But his odd hours and indeterminate accent bring into question how in house even he was, which I likely would have taken as a stronger warning sign without a variety of moving stressors on my back. However, I bought into his assurance "We don't use any brokers or third-party providers. Everything is owned and done by our company" to believe him when he said he could mark specific items as to be treated with special care by the movers. This meant I did not provide as adequate protection for some items as I would have had I known it was a flat out lie and that line of communication did not exist. He also kept not giving me a straight answer on how crating of some of my items would be performed, in retrospect being a question dodge, with me not finally being given a straight response from *another* move coordinator that crating would happen *after* my things were vanned to another facility, not in any way on the spot, or prepared for pre-pickup, again barring me an opportunity I might have otherwise used to further protect my belongings. I am now corresponding in relation to settlement on the service I received and damage to my items which has also not been blocked, but at current time is not resolved. On the move: Actually performed by (see proof picture): LDI Moving Inc Trico Long Distance Transportation My move window wasn't given a full confirmation until two days prior, which again kept raising my anxiety and really brought into question how a company that did everything in house couldn't confirm I was on the docket, and what exactly had I paid for. On the day of, my movers show up with matching t-shirts that do NOT say LDM, confirming that I have indeed been scammed into the sale, but still hoping things work out because my schedule is absolutely locked in at that point. I have purchased, not exactly cheap, full service pack as well since I have been told I cannot insure my items for full value unless I did so. And it also admittedly takes some stress off me before hand thinking my things will be professionally packed as well as save me the time of doing so. The crew that does the packing is not professional. I will become an unstable wreck through the next week as I first wait to take stock of the damage on arrival, then come to terms with it afterwards. When packing they throw things in boxes, often one on top of the other, without rhyme or reason, and often without any added protection. They're annoyed, and in one case straight up laugh at me, when I try to interject to protect my things. I have to try to communicate via signaling since most of the crew does not speak English. At one point I catch one of them getting a box down the stairs by somersaulting it. 'This side up's are ignored (which can't be the result of a language barrier) and several more boxes will show signs of flipping during the move later. They seem to have very little care for appropriate stacking of box weights. Due to what I witness I have to throw out all but the most basic of my prepaid 'unpacking' service on the other side since I know I need to unpack things myself for probably much needed proof for insurance claims. On the note of insurance, my bill of lading at the conclusion of packing requires I sign that I have waived full value replacement insurance (very much not the case). Some calls back and forward tell me that's just how third party insurance works and I have to sign as is to get things to move. No one ever explains why, if it is separate, do I have to sign a sheet waiving coverage that includes the full price I paid *including* that third party insurance. This also makes me exceedingly uncomfortable and stressed as well. I'll check on my insurance confirmation again after signing, and only at this point spot that even the insurance is noted as being purchased by yet another company and not LDM. As for timeliness, most of my items actually do arrive in a week, though a few thousand dollars worth of games are delayed an extra three weeks leaving me to think they're lost, but to my relief do actually show up with fairly minimal damage. At last inventory, only one framed poster vanished altogether

I had located Woods and Sons Moving Services online and hoped they could help me in getting my belongings safely into my new place. Suffice it to say my expectations were exceeded. Vance's communication pre-move was reliable (he called when he said he would) and the move itself was seamless. He and his team arrived as promised (early, in fact) and ready to go. The movers were neat, courteous and friendly, and they not only helped with the logistics of managing the move, but they also made quick, efficient work of it. A rule of thumb regarding moving that I often share with friends and family is that they shouldn't be surprised if at least one item breaks during the move. Well, Woods and Sons Movers shot that theory down as everything arrived intact, nothing was broken and items were carefully placed. Finally, Vance made sure that the moving truck was empty and left clean, leaving one less thing I needed to be concerned with when returning the truck. All in all, I would highly recommend Woods and Sons Movers. Thank you Vance and team!

He really wanted to personally ensure that clients got their belongings moved safely for a fair price. When it came time, in August, to move everything out of my large bungalow, into a small two bedroom apartment, of course I chose Reliable Movers. Many of the well known moving companies had horror stories in the "1 star" reviews....didn't want to risk it! His foreman, Isaac, warned me how much stuff I had, and unfortunately DOUBLED Aaron's estimate; since I had a MASSIVE amount of files, books, unattended mending, in addition to furniture, pots & pans... basically enough for a family of 6!!!! Isaac's crew of 4 spent all Sunday wrapping everything in paper, and putting it in boxes safely. Delivered furniture and "stuff" to my small two bedroom apartment. and rented storage facility on Monday. Fun Fact!!! Don't use bubble wrap for things that you will store for a long time: unless your storage facility is totally climate controlled, you can get condensation inside the bubble wrap and it can get mold!!! The men maintained a great attitude, and were very respectful to this currently single woman. There were no unexpected up-charges, no holding my belongings hostage if didn't pay "said up-charges", like the horror stories I have heard about other movers. Everyone was very kind, even though I was quite over-whelmed and had trouble making decisions. It hurt my wallet to pay the adjusted amount, but the price was FAIR, given the amount of work the crew did. They literally worked from 8 am until 7 on Sunday, with only a break for water. Monday, moving day was the same, but I got them McD's breakfast sandwiches.... gotta provide some fuel for the men!!! In all, I'm grateful for the kindness, the expertise, the fairness, and the strong backs of these movers! Thanks Aaron for your great company.

You are both in your mid 40s and neither of you are in any shape to move her whole apartment down three flights of stairs and back up three more. So you get off your overnight shift and start looking for movers. Two of the places you contact are booked, not surprising as it's the last days of July in Chicago. You happen across Reliable Movers and take the chance, sending them a project request. Lo and behold they have an opening the NEXT DAY due to a cancellation. They send you the hourly rate which is more than reasonable and immediately call them. Not only is the owner super nice on the phone but hilarious. In less than ten minutes we had an official quote, signed contract and deposit paid. The next morning you get a call before your start time of 9am stating the movers hit no traffic and are ready to start early. You head downstairs to move the cars which you blocked space for the truck because Rogers Park parking. The movers come upstairs and start wrapping up furniture and you head to the second location. When the truck pulls up again, you move your car again for the ease of the truck. The offload took less than an hour! All payments were taken quickly through Zelle. All stories aside, the movers and owner are amazing. They accommodated a late scheduled move and came in right at the quote price (minus the addtional charge for some boxes which I approved). If we ever move again, they are going to be my first call! Nice and early scheduled next time. :)

Told the owner I would have around 30 boxes and his words were "if you want a company that will give you a flat rate and stick with it, that's us." Not only was I charged almost double the quote, but they broke a $250 industrial lamp, my safe was tempered with and permanently locked me out, scratches on dressers, computer monitor, a small lamp didn't work again, handle gone from vacuum (can't make this up), my office chair somehow cracked and not useable AND they must have put the bed frame back together in 30 seconds bc half the bolts and screws weren't even in halfway. In addition, when I spoke to owner regarding my 6 foot floor mirror, a piece I really loved and valued, and was clearly forgotten by the movers,, the owner said any additional times not moved day of isn't in contract. I definitely stated that mirror needed to be moved.. as did everything in my apartment. I am beyond the point of frustrated and am just sad this man used me, took my money, had no remorse and then gets away with it. They disassembled a variety of furniture such as a standing desk, couch, beds, and more. The entire team was incredibly efficient, polite and respectful of my property. When we were in the storage unit, they worked so effectively and cleared the unit in only 30 minutes! Once in the space, they were fantastic - they moved boxes into the correct room, double checked with questions, assembled furniture and at the end of the day, they finished in less time that I was quoted. Just to note - they do ask for a $50 deposit, and then, as part of my price, they request the first $500 of the full price to be in cash.
