Fortunately a banner for "Above the Rest" auto transport was on the screen. I contacted a gentleman (Bruce) who explained both the players and the procedure. Everyone else just throws numbers and guarantees at you. Bruce explained that everyone on the web is a broker, not a transporter. The brokers list the vehicle on a national board for a base price (paid to the actual trucking company) and the broker receives his fee for this service. Bruce charges a flat fee which guards against unscrupulous brokers looking to pocket undeclared proceeds. He was also available when I called with questions and concerns during the transport, which was only four days. Bruce was a pleasure to speak with and he took the anxiety and ignorance I had and delivered a VERY positive experience. There's a good reason his operation has solid 5-star reviews. Thank you Bruce, it was a really good experience. James.

I chose the shipping company based on reviews alone and the price being under $1,000 for my tank of an SUV was just a bonus. My first positive with this company is that unlike many of the more popular companies across the US, they are not just a broker and they actually hire and employ their own drivers, so they actually know the person who is delivering your car. This company also did such an amazing job with communication. Not only did they call and text me with updates but when I did call I mostly talked to the same person and they knew my info with just my name and number. Also, I gave them the contact of the agent at the dealership where they picked up from and they communicated beautifully with them as well. Lastly, my car arrived beyond earlier than expected and without a scratch on it! The car was picked up on Tuesday so I didn't expect it to arrive until the weekend or early the next week, but my car was dropped off early Friday morning and the driver called me himself when he was about 45 minutes away and called me again when he arrived to arrange the drop-off. Not to mention that I live in the inner city and the delivery driver unloaded the car like a true professio I can't recommend this company enough, thank you USA Auto Transport of Chicago!

Instead, Montway arrived with an open trailer without disclosing this beforehand, transported the vehicle to New Jersey, and left it at a facility for 8 days!!!--something we were also never told would happen. Communication throughout the process was astonishingly terrible given their reviews online. We later learned from the supervisor Lily that the original carrier had missed the pickup, yet Montway never notified us. I repeatedly requested updates and calls from supervisors that never came. The supervisor Lily ultimately acknowledged that mistakes had been made and that we had been misled regarding both the transportation arrangements and delivery timeframe. She also acknowledged that she was going to do everything in her power to assist in a refund, but the vehicle would need to be delivered first; which made zero sense. The vehicle was finally delivered on September 14, nearly three weeks after booking. After delivery, Lily with Montway told us she was working on a 50% refund, despite everything that occurred. They ultimately did not issue even that refund; their offer $100 credit..... and we declined. Lily said, it was the best they could do... The best thing THEY could have done was do the right thing considering the mistake after mistake after mistake they made. Between the undisclosed open transport and storage, significant delays, lack of communication, misleading information, and failure to honor even their proposed partial refund, this was a horrible and unacceptable experience. I would not trust Montway with a high-value vehicle EVER again.
