While you're there deciding if there's enough closet space, Norman's the one asking about the electrical wattage and pointing out little things you may have overlooked. He's great at what I called "kicking the tires." It's your decision, but he's there to help you and look out for you. Norman was there every step of the way and I always felt well-informed. He even made me feel ok about withdrawing an offer when it wasn't exactly the right move for us. I felt like I could call him anytime- he was always there to answer my questions and if not then, just a few minutes later. Yet at the same time, I never felt like I was not the focus of his attention when we were meeting. If you've never looked for a condo before, just know that you're looking at the same listings all the agents get, so it's on you to point out the ones you want to see and the agent will set it up for you. They're not going to comb through the listings for you and suggest what you should see. Norman was our buyer's agent- meaning that he was there to help us, the buyers, purchase a home (he gets paid through the bank, not you). He was there to walk us through the process, deal with the seller's agent and translate the homebuying language for us. He did all that- Norman is fantastic at his job. He's a straight shooter. My experience with Harvard Ave. Realty is from earlier this year, in February/March. My landlord…read moreand I have an agreement that brokers need to schedule showings directly through me, and that I need to be home when they show it. Every other agency honored this and I had several showings in early 2022. Despite telling David he did not have permission to show my apartment when I wasn't home, David sent one of his agents into my apartment, which I caught on my security camera. David tried to lie - said he left me a voicemail, he didn't, said he had my landlord's permission, my landlord had no idea who was in my apartment. In early March, I texted David today to make sure he returned my keys to my landlord. He asked me to take my Google review down and I said no. I told him "I'm not hurting anyone, I'm telling the truth about your dishonest and unprofessional behavior." He told me he was going to sue me and when I said goodbye, he responded "f*ck you c*nt." I tried to upload the screenshots to Google but I think they were flagged for the language. The next day, my boyfriend called David. That conversation quickly devolved and David's wife took the phone and asked my boyfriend what he was afraid of. "Are you afraid he's going to r*pe her? Are you afraid he is going to beat her? Are you afraid he's going to kill her?" She also accused us of trying to ruin David's life by posting a Google review. I ended up having my locks changed and filing a police report. I think Harvard Ave Realty had my Google review flagged. Just trying to help other renters/landlords avoid dealing with a clearly unstable, unsafe human being. David (and his wife) are beyond unprofessional, they are unhinged. Avoid this company at all costs, they are unprofessional, rude, and backhanded.

First I would like to say how blessed I feel that I was referred to Mr. Eric Vick at Thumbprint…read moreRealty. I was dealing with a particularly difficult home sale. Long story short mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2009. By law she was unable to sign any legal documents including taking her name of the deed to my parents home. My father was later diagnosed with Parkinson's and passed in 2020. The house was now owned solely by my mother. When she passed in 2021 I received a letter from MassHealth stating they had put a lien on her Estate in the amount of $544k to recoup monies spent on her healthcare in the nursing home! Yes they can do this. She had been there for 10 yrs. I was shocked! To say that working with MassHealth to sell the property was difficult is an understatement. They were very allusive and unhelpful. They refused to speak with Eric even though he was my realtor. The selling price of the home solely depended on their final decision. It was very frustrating. They had no written guidelines or rules for the sale. In other words it all came down to what someone at MassHealth decided was a good price. To his credit Eric handled himself professionally throughout the process even though I know it was difficult at times. He continually provided them with offers, which they denied over and over. After some time they accepted an offer and the house was sold. Eric was always available for me to talk to during this time. We had weekly discussions and talked by phone every week sometimes more. I'm sure he knows more than he ever wanted to about selling a home in which MassHealth is involved. I can't thank him enough for sticking with me and being by my side during the long process. I will forever be grateful. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to sell or buy home. He is a wonderful human being. He was my lifeboat in a terrible storm. Thank you Eric! Joanna was a breath of fresh air, she guided us in every step of the process, never hesitate to aswer any questions very knowledgeable, she will make sure you understand whats going on. It was great to have someone on our side that went the extra mile for her client. I wish we didn't have to depart that's how great she is. But she found us a home after many open houses and being outbid. When we are looking to purchase another unit sure will be contacting her.
