We had a huge front window put in and they said it was garanteed for life which was fine. We had a smaller window that had lost the gas between the glass panes and had them replace that. It lasted about 8 months and got a stress fracture the full length. called them and they said it was not garanteed and they asked if we wanted it replaced and I said why would we . these guys advertise windows for sale but they have terrible service after multiple attempts to get a bid on mul window replacements they finally came out and measured the windows and gave us the " let me look into the price and I will get back to you" ( other wise known as the Oregon brush off) weeks went by - nothing then we call and ask about our bid. they say the guy is out and that he will call us - again weeks went by and no call so we call again- and got the same answer this went on a few more times the we finally gave up on them. evidently this place has a very low work ethic. We bought a new Patio door over the phone yesterday. They asked if we could pick it up fairly soon as they don't have a lot of room. They assured me that they would assist in helping me properly load and secure it for safe transportation home. I arrived early today. Two guys turned the patio door on its side and slid it into my trailer instead of lifting it so that the paint would not be scratched. When I asked them to not slid it, the damage was already done. They had me sign the release and then they left. They did not help me put the moving blankets on or help me properly secure it at all. I was the only customer there. It is obvious that they did not do what the said they would do, and did not care at all about taking proper care of the product that they sold me. They will not get my business ever again. They only door stock doors. They don't do custom doors. Went in ordered a door to replace a door in manufactured chrome. The rough opening was smaller than a regular door. Salesman said tat the next size doen would work. It didn't. The other door was for a 2x3 wall. It took forever to get and the trimmed the door at their office sight leaving to raw wood edges to be painted by me. Not impressed. read more

Ordered one special size bathroom window 3 months in advance for a Remodel. No one from discount windows called me to say it's arrived. Upon picking up window an employee dragged it on asphalt sliding it out from the pile. Upon close examination I discovered it has scratches all over it. I asked them to re order window. Which I assume they've done. Now I'm waiting a second, no phone calls or updates. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the second one has arrived and also has damage to it. I just have one of those strong nagging feelings. I'm 3 days away from the Remodel and have crews of people scheduled for demo, drywall, plumbers and marble installers all of this centers around the new bathroom window which is brand new and damaged during shipping and handling. So sad when a business rests on their laurels goes to crap. :( They should adopt a new mission statement which happens to be mine as a solo remodeling contractor: A good name is better than riches. If I could give - stars I would. We bought a door from Discount from Chaz that had sidelights. We sat and discussed what we were looking for and he showed us a picture of what the door would look like. We waited a few days before ordering the door as we had other quotes we were waiting for. Discount was not the lowest or the highest and we went with them. Huge mistake. First the delivery was late. I confirmed the delivery date a couple of days before to make sure they were going to be on time. I was assured they would be. No call on the afternoon of that day (I had taken the day off) so I called them. They told me they were down a truck and they would not make it. I asked for a new schedule, I don't care if they are down a truck. I can't keep taking days off either. They finally delivered on the updated day but I had to make sure by calling them as they have never called me with a delivery time. The door was delivered and they jumped back in to the truck before I could inspect the door. I immediately stopped them as I saw several cracks in the door. I had them take pictures as well as I did. I waited the next day to call them and discuss this door. I was informed Chaz no longer worked there and was passed to Jake. I told Jake there are 17 cracks on the door alone that I could see; cardboard covered the other side. Jake told me that these were common and I was not the first to call about these doors. He told me it was the "distressed look". We were not told that this was the "distressed" look when we bought the door and we would not have bought it had we been told. I told this to Jake and also added we would have spent more money on another door had we known. His response was "You can spend 10 thousand dollars on a door". Since I had other quotes his answer was BS and in no way was going to fix anything. He said he'd call the manufacturer and I should hear something in a week. Over 1 week went by, No Jake; big surprise. l called him back since he didn't call me; again and basically the same response that he'd get back to me in a week or the door manufacturer would. Guess what, No Jake again and it's been over three weeks. We bought this door in December 2019. It's in my garage still (Feb 18, 2020). I still have the paperwork for this door and it does not say "distressed" or that there will be over 30 cracks/holes throughout the door and it also does not show any cracks in the picture from the manufacturer. Now I have to putty this door and hope it works. Do not use this company. They have no customer service and sold a product that is inferior IMO to any other products out there. read more

ok where to start ..... this entire situation with this company has been a total nightmare ....... we had them come replace all our windows in our recently purchased home. I called many times to speak with them about what to expect and to confirm that the products and installation was good. they came out and did a "retro fit replacement" ..... basically took a skill saw and cut all the windows out .... left the trim on. im going to post as many picts as i can.. not to mention they were hours late the second day to finish the job and never called . My new windows were literally left outside my house in the rain all night... when they cut the windows out they cut into the beautiful wood casing we had on the inside of the windows with the skill saw.. also had some cuts into our siding on the house as well. They literally covered it up with caulking... the wrong kind of caulking i must add/ ..... they also broke some of the trim off completely and glued it back on with caulking and didn't even bother telling us.. also they broke a strip of marble out our big picture window and just puzzled it back together and glued it in with caulking and also didn't tell us. the entire project was also done with the wrong kind of caulking. In the order and agreement we were to have the trim replaced and we was told we would be responsible for painting it up ourselves.... after questioning why the trim didn't get replaced, they tried to say it wasn't included even though the sales receipt and order write up clearly stated all trim and materials were included in the price.... As you will see in the pictures how bad the caulking job was ............. Also the windows leaked so bad with condensation ..... wood casing beading with water .. picts will show.... they try to blame it on our house .. the windows they took out were 30 yrs old and never did it . Cold air can be felt coming through the windows. they did not make our home warmer.... I felt attacked when i called them to tell them all the problems with the windows.. we had other contractors come look at the work and they couldn't believe the crappy work. .... eventually they came out to try and remedy the problem and replace the trim as they should have to begin with .. that was also a joke. was told they would sent best crew... ended up sending two guys first day who also couldn't believe the crap work. next day one one guy showed up and he was a stresses mess. almost walked off the job because he was so stressed.. wasted so much of my time... still the windows look like crap.. now we gotta paint our house since the new trim dont cover the same area as the old trim ..?? also the trim is full of knots. ALSO even more damage was done to our home . they stepped on the internet cable ripping off a piece of the siding leaving whole in the siding where it was once a hook for the cable to rest on.. when the second crew came out to sopsoably fix the first crews mess they confirmed they never bothered putting in the insulation around the windows leaving a huge gap that was filled in with caulking ... also the windows didn't look like thy fit ...leaving a large gap... probably why the cold air was felt coming in .... the second crew said they didn't approve of what was happening and i am still confused what that means... didn't approve of what/??? second crew guy stated he only comes in to fix the problems the first guys did wrong.... we did end up having them pay to have the marble fixed by another company... although the windows and the look of them are not to satisfactory... we still have to paint them and the house.. also my husband had to demand that they use the proper calking and caulking that we can actually paint over ... discount windows did not care about all the extra time i had to spend letting them try to fix the windows they messed up . Never offered a discount due to the extensive amount of time my family endued to this .. we sill dont know how the windows will do regarding the condition come winter. i will never use this company again ... wish i would have went with dabalas. terrible customer service........ look at the picts of what they say is good work and decide for yourself .. i should have made them pay for new casings and siding and a lot of stuff also to buy paint for the house .... i dont know how this company is staying in business. i should also say the manager even after seeing these picts tried to say the work looked good .... lol we still have the wrong caulking inside all the window seals and it looks black due to dust sticking on it ....... everything sticking to it and its white....well was anyways. junction city discount windows read more

I recently bought some "discount windows" from these guys.I found out there is a reason they are called discount.Before you buy windows or doors from these guys stop and consider what kind of headaches you will have after your building is complete and they leak as mine did. I not only now have to go and buy a quality window but also pay the contractor to come and remove the window and install a new one.The labor alone is about 400 dollars.so you begin to see their discount windows are not such a good deal. read more

Supply chain issues aside as that is not the companies fault, the process for ordering a window, setting up delivery, and then having to order a replacement pane less than 6 months after the purchase of the window has been the most frustrating and unsatisfying process. We would leave messages and never hear back, when I would call to check on the status of our order we would get told different things depending on who we talked to. When I called to order the replacement pane that cracked and see how much install would be for them to replace that one pane, I was forced to schedule an estimate/measurement visit, taking time out of my work day when they have what we ordered right in front of them. When I asked if I could schedule the estimate but also order the part at the same time i was told that wasn't their process and the part could not be ordered until the estimate. The sooner estimate I could do working around my busy work schedule (because they don't do weekends) was 2 months out and then another 2-3 months for the part be be ordered so 6 freaking months almost to get my new pane ordered and installed. I am beyond furious about this and will NEVER use this company again and would never recommend them to anyone. read more

While I am extremely satisfied with the windows, and with the fine folks that installed them, I am quite disappointed with their service after the fact - I have never received any assistance with the proposed and promised rebate - have never received the rebate - and am essentially out hundreds of dollars because once the windows were installed, I never received the required documents to apply for, and then receive, a rebate. I called them many times, was promised that I would receive the necessary documents, and never did. I gave up. And learned my lesson. So if you are going to use their windows and service - and plan to apply rebates - I suggest you make sure - don't write a single check - until all the rebate documents are filed and approved. Otherwise, you may be out hundreds of dollars as well. read more

I wanted to get an estimate for new windows for my home. The first time I called, the person I needed to talk to was on the phone, so I left a message. No response. A week or so later when I called again, he wasn't there, but was expected back shortly, so I left a message. No response. The third time I called was on a weekend, and the person who could help me does not work on weekends. When I explained that I had already left two messages with no response, the person on the phone was a little surprised, but not overly apologetic. At that point I decided that they must not want my business and I would look elsewhere. His response was basically, "Okay, sorry about that." I had heard good things about this business, so was very disappointed at this lack of response. This is not how you earn customers. read more

We bought our windows and doors from Junction city Windows and Doors quite a few years ago. We were told that out heating and cooling bills would go down. The opposite has happened. Our old windows were more secure then our new windows. You can feel wind coming in around the windows. Also we have windows where the mechanisims which hold them up have fallen out. They sent a person out to put them back in and he showed me how to do it if it happened again. A red flag should have gone up when he did that. Yes more mechansims fell out but I could not get them back in again. This summer my wife had to prop her window open with a book. Also our doors are hard to open. Wednesday night 9/5/18 I sent an email through the Junction City website listing the 3 sizes of windows I needed for a project on Sunday. I needed 3 of each window for a total of 9 windows. Thursday I received a nice call from their employee who said they had all of the windows I needed and could deliver them from Junction City to the north end of Corvallis on Friday. I paid for the windows and the $89 delivery fee with my credit card. I got a call back that the truck was full for Friday, so I'd have to wait until next Wednesday. I rushed and hired my contractor's son to use a trailer that was big enough to pick up the windows and get them to the job site. After the old windows had been pulled it was discovered that Discount Windows had loaded 6 windows that were 6 inches shorter than the opening they needed to fit. I got out our invoice and it showed I'd paid for the correct size. I called Discount Windows in a panic. They didn't have anyone to deliver so I had to unload everything out of my 21 year old Explorer, load the 6 windows (because it wasn't the original 9 windows my car could handle the load) and drive over 30 miles and inconvenience my contractor as he waited for my return. At Junction City a nice young man said that the original employee had correctly marked our windows, but a different employee had loaded the wrong windows Friday. Because there were only 2 employees there on Sunday I backed into the warehouse across the street from the store and helped the young man load the correct windows. We both noticed that the correct windows did include one grid window by mistake so that was corrected. I asked about getting something for my inconvenience. He said the owner was up front so I needed to go talk to him. When I walked in he put a $20 on the counter and walked away. It was to cover my gas. Apparently because I'm a 72 year old woman he didn't think my time, stress and inconvenience was worth ANYTHING. Yet having them deliver was $89. Hmmmmmm! The math doesn't work out. I felt that he was very rude and never said "I'm sorry for our error." I had to drive back on Monday because one of the screens had damage that didn't show in the dark warehouse. A young employee at the warehouse was helpful and repaired the screen. Carry a tape measure and check your items from Discount Windows and try not to deal with the owner. read more

This company claims to provide Sales, Installation and Repair. I contacted this business for a quote and installation of a door and they told me they don't do installation. The sub out the installation to contractors who they claim are too busy to give estimates. They said it isn't worth it to them to give estimates to customers because their employees don't want to travel to give the estimate. Their website states the above. They don't provide the service. What a big disappointment. I think this is frankly false advertising and poor business practice. read more

I drove a long way and picked through the junky windows to get a deal, then found out the prices are about the same as if I bought local from my hardware store. For 2 dirty, broken flange windows and a new one it was going to be $75 less than 3 new ones here in town. The guy said he'd be right out to help me then never came back. When I went in, the other guy seemed to have an attitude. No wonder they had many more employees than customers. I've had good luck there in the past, but those days are behind me. We finally got our quote and it is definitely competitive, in fact 2nd lowest. There is much that goes into a quote of this nature and I was impatient since we had already received the other quotes. We received much more information from DW's Josiah than the other three businesses we contacted - in fact answering most questions we still had. :) A side note to all this and our recent move: it seems service has taken a back seat to the money. Maybe that is an understatement, esp in this day in age where people are used to big online retailers that carry just about everything and can send it to you in a matter of hours or in a couple of days without batting an eye. We love the up close and personal touch of our local brick and mortar businesses, but are dismayed (esp lately) how terrible service has been. STAY AWAY from this company ...wish there was a negative star option. Worst experience with a contractor ever - i have been dealing with an issue for almost two years. Ordered an Orepac french door that was suppose to be good quality, the door took an extremely long time to arrive and then was installed for the first time by DW -noone looked at the door to notice that the pannels were completely mismatched, took another seceral months and DW again reinstalled new doors, they were again manufactured wrong and the glass pannels were loose and sliding, after months and months of trying to get resolved they turned over issue to Orepac - it took orepac 14 more months and 4 more "new" doors later to finally get doors right. Discount Windows have been difficult to work with, at times lied, Ive tried to deal with owner Lee who passes off everything to The CEO joesiah. I had to take off over a week of work to be home between all the times they tried to install new door. I filed a bbb report and at one point then they became helpful but ended up dropping the ball again and again. Now after 2 years i get a very rude call from Dan in their collection department saying he has been repeatedly tring to contact about money owed (he had never called me or left a mesg before) Simply outright lies and is now trying to threaten me to get me to pay balance for a door that I have had to literally deal with people every month for almost 2 years just to get these people motivated to take care of their customer. WORST COMPANY I have ever tried to deal with. Its not worth the small amount you think you will save to buy anything here, you will pay 12 times over in your time, frustration and effort.
