They showed up on a Friday at 3pm when the owner said they'd start on Tuesday. They didn't knock on the door to say hello to tell me they'd be working on the roof. We figured out they were there when they dropped a bucket off the roof and scared the #%|] out of us. They scraped some moss off the roof. They supposedly spread some moss treatment but moss is still on part of the roof a month later. They were supposed to clean the gutters but during a good downpour last weekend water was pouring over the gutters so at least one downspout is still plugged. I would not recommend using these guys. I'm gonna have to pay someone else to do the job they should have.

This never happened. I called back after the weekend and again spoke with Mike P. (The owner?). He said he had not been able to visit my site the previous week but would swing by that week to scope the site. This also never happened. I have called back and left 3 messages spaced out over the course of a month and a half since then. He has neither responded nor made any attempt to explain why my money is not worth his companies time. When I first called him, my mother had started Hospice care, and our hillside drive is hard for the nurses to get up so I requested some grading, gravel, and compacting from Mike P. (the owner ?) in the first call. I did not tell him this because I assumed his company valued customers and that a customer shouldn't have to beg for work to be quoted or scheduled. (I called one more time before I posted this) So in my opinion National construction and gravel is a very unreliable company and should not be relied upon for any serious work. Since Mike P. (the owner?)is the only person I have spoken with, sadly I must also apply my opinion to him. I have waited a long time (too long) to write this review, because I wanted to see how long his work held up. We live in the country and have a rather steep, long, uphill driveway. Year after year we have paid people to grade and gravel the driveway ($300 -$500 at a time) only to have deep ruts and mud holes at the crest of the hill again within 2-3 months after the work was done. When I explained this to Mike he promised we would have a good driveway that would last a lot longer. He specializes in this and really knows what he is doing... Well it is now 5 years later and our driveway is as good as the day he did the work!!! We had to pay over 3 times what we normally paid, but it has saved us a lot of money in the long run. Some work done poorly, work took forever and then never finished.....this company took time off to do other jobs, then quit and left some of their stuff behind for me to clean up. Long story short he completed the project on time on budget even after some change order work . Jerry's workmanship and professional ethics made me glad that Northwest Quality Finishes was there for the project. Jerry was always pleasant and accessible via phone or text. As a matter of fact he also completed additional contract work that was also done to high construction standards and I would highly recommend Jerry. I have experience in stuff like this and will say they overbuilt the structural work to where it would prolly take a giant earthquake before the work could fail. The buyer bought the house after receiving a copy of the project package from Solid Ground that laid out drawings, engineers reports and complete work plan.
