He actually acted like he wanted the job as opposed to just being willing to do it. Initial pricing was the same as other fencing contractors quoted. However, when we got down to specifics of what I wanted for the job, the price was 7% less than the next closest quote (I'm really picky about materials, design, methods, etc.). That sealed the deal. Responsive, Respectful, Reliable My elderly mother needed a small cedar fence section and gate replaced. It was a small job and fence contractors I called couldn't get to it for many weeks, if not months. Though it was a small job, it was a high priority for my mother. After explaining the situation on a voice mail, a couple emails and then speaking to Jason on the phone, he got to the job within 2 weeks. My mother is so proud of her new gate. I'd stressed the importance to J, that it needed to be easy to open, to latch and to unlatch. J went above the norm and installed an upgraded, easy to use latch, as well as a handle to pull it open. I was impressed that he installed the latch about 4' high, making it so easy for my mom. I had never even thought of that, and she loves it. My mother felt comfortable with J and his helpers and is very pleased with the job. Jay had provided a quote, based on photos I'd sent. Even with the special hardware, and putting up new boards as opposed to using the old but intact ones (after my mother said she'd like new boards), he stuck to the price quoted. It is the special touches that Jay took the time and effort to do that sets JAS Fence apart. They did the job as if they were doing it for their own mother, and it was appreciated. JAS did an amazing job installing a new fence w/3 new gates and repairing an existing gate. Communication throughout the scheduling process and while work was being done was outstanding and they kept with the schedule and timing they promised. Craftsmanship at its finest. We highly recommend them. The fence was just what we wanted and the torii gates we requested are artistic and functional.
