So sad, expected a much better outcome. We had our own maintenance business, both of us worked in maintenance fields for 30 plus years. We are both retired and my husband is disabled so can no longer do all that we once could ourselves. We had a few metal projects that we wanted to have done and made contact with Michael. He was friendly and seemed to know his stuff. He gave us bids for all 3 projects and we decided to have him start with the front fence and gates. We drew up our own design with specs for height and bar openings which we sent to him on 6/28/24. They were fabricated and Sean and another worker came out to fit them and remeasure to be certain all went according to our design. We had a raccoon that decided he was going to live here and really needed to keep him out. This made the ground clearance, bar openings and gate placement critical and we specifically requested no more that 2 inches of ground clearance on both sides so he could not squeeze under, and no gaps large enough for him to squeeze through. We intended to install a magnetic latch so the gates needed to touch. Sean understood. When installed on 7/17 by two young men we hadn't met, the gates did not touch, so there was no way of latching them. If they adjusted them to touch so they could be latched there was a large gap between the fenceposts and gateposts so our little buddy could slide right in. The South side fence panel was so high he could go under without Limbo-ing. One of the young men, Ryan, tacked a bar across the bottom to help keep this from happening but since the panel wasn't long enough, as it should have been to start with, it really looks jobbed. No post caps were installed. The kids worked a long day and did the best they could to get this done, but I'm not sure they had much experience and was not happy with the outcome. Since both Michael and Sean each came out to measure at different times, and we discussed our requirements with them both we thought it would be correct but nobody got this right. I contacted Michael on 7/20 to meet and discuss concerns. He said he would try but was leaving town. We contacted him again on 7/26 and he replied he was in AK and return on 8/5. On 8/9 we contacted him again. I sent pics stating this was not the quality we had hoped for and needed to discuss fixing things. On 8/12 Michael and Ryan came over. Michael said he would fix the South panel, put on caps and fix the sizing. He said he wanted to make it right because "his name was on this too." He said it would be 5 weeks before they could fit us in. That should have been 9/17. STILL WAITING but not holding my breath. Not heard a word from him. We purchased and installed caps. My husband fabricated wooden samples to make the gates fit and we need to purchase metal and FIND SOMEONE ELSE to fabricate them for us. We purchased bolts and hardware in order to fix the gap in the gates so we could install a latch so they closed, otherwise the way they left it they swung free and didn't touch at all. We have also had to paint areas that were supposed to have been powder coated because they have begun to rust since the rains. We are unhappy with the way things went. Not correctly fabricated to measurements, not repaired as promised, not a bit of contact, leaving repairs and creating more expense for us. Just a bad taste all the way around. SORRY WE CHOSE POORLY. I don't even know where to start. When all hope was lost and I thought I'd be stuck with another wood fence; Michael came through with an amazing idea for a metal fence. I went through a contractor, and didn't have a lot of contact with Michael and his people right away, but as soon as I did I was beyond impressed. Kind. Helpful. Fun. Hard working. Thoughtful. Personable. Prompt. They made me feel like I was their number one priority even though I know they are busy with other clients. I absolutely adored having this crew around. Every day they were at my house working was a good day. Each member of this team was kind and fun to talk to. I was actually sad on the last day of work. I will never call anyone but ASF for any future needs. I will only recommend ASF to friends, family and community. Gold Medals, trophies, all the gold stars possible. The owner Michael is a nice guy, great salesman, and easy to talk to. But the process left a LOT to be desired and the project cost WAY too much to not be done well. We were told a 4-6 week window for a pond cover when he came out to the house mid-spring (great we thought as we wanted to ensure the safety of our kiddos for Summer) and while our end of the deal (the financial part) was done with, it took constant reminding, texting, pleading, etc, etc just to get them out to start on it. Finally asking for a refund vs starting the job 3 months later got them to start things and (we thought) it was FINALLY finished some time in October. Wrong. Not a month later we noticed rust spots on every single weld. Further inspection led my husband and I to believe that they only powder coated it once. It shouldn't already be rusting unless they cut corners which it is very apparent they did. To be fair, the ironwork itself was nicely done. Husband talked to Michael about it and we're still waiting to get it sent back to the shop to get re-painted. He says he's not happy unless we're happy and we want to believe him but we are not happy and we are still waiting. So a year later, and it still isn't correct. And it wasn't cheap by any means. As the spouse of a business owner, I know how things should be run and I can tell you that it isn't this way. For that I cannot recommend and would suggest perhaps you find someone else for your metalwork needs. read more

We've had ASF build custom brackets, beams, posts, structural and architectural metal products time and time again. Sometimes late for sure, but they communicate well, there is never a surprise. We are always in the loop and therefor will never take our work to any other Fab company. read more

They did an awesome job, and now we have a custom one of a kind piece that people ask all the time were did you get.
