I spent over $2,000 on new wheels and tires, so I was a little disappointed that the Discount Tire Mobile Installation Van arrived about an hour late for my scheduled appointment, especially since I had rearranged my day around it. Other than that, I really don't have any complaints. I went with Michelin tires and have been very impressed with their performance and ride quality. Michelin continues to live up to its reputation. This place is definitely 5 stars in my book. I went in to get all my TPMS changed on my truck and they did a great job completing the task. Upon putting my caps back on my rim one of them was I'm assuming put on crooked and broke 2 pressure points on the cap so it wouldn't stay on, I literally thought my experience would be down hill from here but Mr. Troy the associate took very good care of me and ordered me one and I got it put on the very next day. Sad to say that this location has gone downhill. I have 2 vehicles now, an older one that just got a new set of tires 11 months ago and service was pretty good except they didn't seem to approve of my tire selection for that vehicle though they were correctly sized but were on sale. I am a female who grew up around cars and learned a few things over the years, so I feel targeted for upselling. Anyway they installed the new Cooper tires after commenting about other more costly options. Today, I rolled in with my new vehicle, that only has 22k miles, for a flat repair knowing it was possible due to location. When dropping it off a technician also agreed it could be repaired, then the phone call came stating it wasn't safe to repair and I need to purchase a new tire. I instructed the upselling caller to put the wheel and tire back in the cargo area, that's when he offered to install the spare tire. It was obvious that he had not seen the tire himself as the spare was already installed as I had driven to them on the full-size spare tire. I promptly took it to the dealership 20 minutes away for confirmation and repair. Females beware! This place isn't honest unless you are purchasing a new tire and even when purchasing an entire set they tell you there are better options for a different tire as an upsell. read more

All went well from greeting me at the door, providing me with the recommended tires and letting me know when they would be ready (they were busy). However, when he priced the tires he did not ask or tell me that he had included the tire insurance. When I mentioned it he said, "I thought you told me to include it." I responded, "You didn't ask." He had no response. As the insurance can add ~15% to the price, it's an important question to ask. I don't believe it was an oversight. He probably gets a commission on the insurance. The manager told me that they do this as a best practice, but I think the best practice is to do what the customer wants. Just got a new truck and wanted to swap my wheel locks from my old truck to my new truck. He grabbed a torque wrench and said I will do it right now. I was very thankful. Do not ask or deal with Tony when you go into this location. He is completely unprofessional and rude. I went in because my tire light came on. Every time my light come on I usually have a nail. When I got to the counter he asked a bunch of questions about checking the tire pressure. He was dismissive and treated me like I was ignorant throughout our conversation. He asked for the my keys and did not make any effort after that to tell me about the status of my car. He had a text sent to my phone and then grabbed his bag of hot fries. I came to this location because they had good reviews. Although they didnt have the tire I wanted, they were willing to special order it for me. They called me a few days later saying they had got the tire in, so I came to have it installed. The first time they ended up installing the incorrect tires, not the special order tires I wanted. That was a 2 hour wait to get those put on. I didnt notice until a day later, so I ended up coming a 2nd time and had another 1 hour wait to finally get the correct tires installed. Not sure I will ever come to this location again, but just make sure they put on the tires you actually purchased. read more

I want to give a big shoutout to Jonathon.The previous day I had been made aware of my low tire tread during my annual inspection. With a trip out-of-town planned for Friday at 1:30pm I needed to move fast. I consulted with Jonathon on the phone and made a decision to get four Michelin Defender 2's for my SUV. Unfortunately, they were not in stock at the local store or close by. Jonathon contacted the warehouse but they could not confirm that they were in stock. He also located them in Katy and made arrangements to have them couriered to Spring. Due to a shipping error they were sent to the wrong store. Jonathon used his own truck and got them for me and returned to the store at 11:15. I had set a 11:45 deadline to get them mounted to stay on schedule with my trip. Would not recommend, this is the second time I have come and I've had to wait more then the time said. The first time I waited 3 hours; just because they forgot to tell me my car was ready. The second time I have been waiting 1 1/2 and my car has not even made it in the pit and many people that came after me already went; I only need a tire changed. Every time I get my tire pressure done here I always have to come back the next day to do it again because they either didn't do all the tires or didn't do them all the way.while I sit and wait for my car they have employees playing around, fake fighting in the pit; very unprofessional. read more

I think these guys work hard and have the best intentions, but for some reason they fall short. Everyone is extremely nice and courteous, eager to assist. Unfortunately, I find myself returning to have the work redone or fixed. I am starting to think it is something lacking in training. I have similar experiences at all location. For instance, we have high pressure metal valve stem caps on our vehicle. Every time we either are missing a cap when we get the car back or the caps are so loose that they would have fallen off as soon as we drove away if we had not tightened them first. Eek! Methinks not. Went to Discount Tire 06-19-2020 for a low air tire pressure light showing in my vehicle, actually a flat tire. The worker told me they could not fix my tire because I drove on it & they did not have my tire in store. So I asked them if they would put my spare tire on & they said it was to old. I called AAA they came & put my spare on, said nothing was wrong with it, all this in Discount Tire parking lot. Discount Tire told me they had a tire that would cost $240. Went to Firestone about a block away, they fixed my tire & said it was just a small hole & I would not have any problems with it, no charge. I don't understand how businesses can be so unscrupulous. For those interested it was at 2920 & Kuykendhal. The three guys whom I interacted with sat there watching everything. God forbid if that happens to any of your family members. read more
